Firefox 4.0 and 5.0 not displaying website correctly after upgrade

I recently updated to Firefox 4.0 on both my desktop and laptop. My website, www.mylifeundecided.com, is displaying fine on my desktop (XP) but not on my laptop (windows 7), it also displays fine on our mac (OS X) which also has firefox 4.0.
For some reason the font is displaying too large causing everything to be bumped down and not appear right (and I already checked the zoom, it's not zoomed in or out, it's at 100% so that's not the issue.)
I tried upgrading to 5.0 but experienced the same issue. It looks fine on Chrome, IE8 and Firefox 3. Here is a screenshot of the issue and how it's supposed to look. (the affected area is mostly in the circled box).

Can anyone help? Much appreciated!
Thanks!
Jessica

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.
* Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
* Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

  • Safari not displaying pages correctly after upgrade to Mavericks

    Hi, I just upgraded my macbook pro (mid 2010) to Mavericks and safari now displays web pages as if I was really zoomed in. When I load a page I will see it correctly for a second and it will then zoom in (no amount of pinch on my trackpad solves the problem). I can cmd - a few times to get it back to a normal display size, but I need to do it for every tab I open. When I open chrome, everything displays properly. Any Idea on what could cause this problem? Thx in advance
    Sorry if I am not posting to the right forum, kinda new here

    Try holding the control key and using a 2 finger swipe up or down (direction depends on how you have the track pad set) and see if you may inadvertently done zoom from this, it is different from a pinch zoom

  • Firefox 3.6.6 Not Displaying Gmail Contacts & Calendar and at least 1 other website correctly after using Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer

    == Issue

    I have another kind of problem with Firefox
    == Description
    ==
    In migrating from an XP PC to a new Win 7 PC, I downloaded Firefox to the new PC and it worked fine - got my Gmail contacts, calendar, etc. Later I used Micros Soft's Windows Easy Transfer to move data, profiles, etc to the new PC. Then could log onto Gmail but it would not show Contacts or Calendar. I then uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it - nohelp, then I did a system to Restore to before I did the Windows Easy Transfer - no help, then I manually moved my Firefox Profile from the XP machine - no help. BTW at least one other website does not display correctly: http://www.hollandamerica.com/main/Main.action. NOTE - through all this Internet Explorer has shown these sites correctly.

    Oops - for some reason, this problem now seems to have gone away. May have had something to do with Flash. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

  • Firefox does not display websites correctly. Images are missing or out of position.

    Too much white space. How do I downgrade back to 3.6.3? I have another computer running that version that displays everything correctly. Text is also placed incorrectly. Even this Mozilla page has no images. Only white space with a fuzzy 'mozilla' in the upper left-hand corner.

    Thanks:
    The Fonts & Colours option worked wonderfully for me and now my pages are displaying the colour and images I expected to see. So very simple in the end. Is it related to the current upgrad? At least I will not have to trouble with attempting to revert to an earlier version.

  • Query description not displaying in Workbook after upgrade

    Hi,
    I have saved my existing 3.5 workbook in 7.0 format. The query is also saved in 7.0 format. But after the upgrade the workbook on refresh is not populating the Description and Filter details of the query.
    Appreciate your valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hii
    The workbook is work as an Excel sheet & also in the same format & restrictions that u have made while executing the query.And it shows the description as the name u give to the workbook
    but shows the same Query name inside the workbook.
    If description is not displayed then just disconnect the analyzer and connect it again.U will get the description also.
    Thanks

  • Safari not displaying websites correctly

    I bought a new Mac Mini yesterday, The Mac updated itself, there was a long list of different items it needed to download and update. After restarting the Mac, I opened Safari and clicked through a few websites, the websites first display as though they have been zoomed into, then when I try to scroll down the page the images and text go out of sync and into each other basically overlapping each other. I am using a vga through a converter, the desktop and other items seem full screen and fine, its only Safari which seems to display websites as zoomed in which if scrolled on will make items overlap each other. I have a 26inch LCD TV.
    Is there any solution to this?
    Also when using Safari the Icons dock appears below, its annoying becuase it limits amount of viewing space I have, In Windows XP/Vista you a Windows Bar at the bottom, which is fine becuase its small, is there a way to shrink the Icons dock or to make it disappear when using Safari and then to reappear after use?

    the desktop and other items seem full screen and fine, its only Safari which seems to display websites as zoomed in which if scrolled on will make items overlap each other
    Can you post a screenshot of what you see? (You can use a free hosting site such as www.imageshack.us to upload the picture to.)
    is there a way to shrink the Icons dock or to make it disappear when using Safari and then to reappear after use?
    You can shrink the icons by grabbing the dividing line (towards the trash can) and dragging it down (or up to increase the icon size). Alternatively, cmdoptd will hide/show the Dock.

  • Dropdown is not longer filled correctly after upgrading to EHP1 SP19

    Hi there,
    we had a working dropdown element integrated in an ALV which worked properly all the time. Now, after the upgrade to HP1 SP19, it offers some strange behavior.
    The code below is working properly and the dropdown always offers the correct values.
    But if I exchange the hard coded
    and ls_zbaps_req_role-svp_unit_id = '002'
    in the marked line with this
    and ls_zbaps_req_role-svp_unit_id = wd_this->ALV_SVP_UNIT_ID
    the dorpdown is not filled correctly.
    The strange thing about this is that the table lt_value_set_rr iss filled correctl yin both cases, but with the binding to the cell editor it's get corrupted when using the attribute instead of the hard coded number. Any idea what might be the issue here?

    In addtion to Altenbach's comments -
    I'd recommend trying another VI function to get the power spectrum for
    your signal to see if the behavior is the same.  You can find some
    examples of VIs using the power spectrum functions using the NI Example
    Finder.
    You can go to LabVIEW's Example Finder by going to Help >> Find Examples.
    Then search for FFT. There should be some results that include FFT and
    Power Spectrum Units.vi, Power Spectrum Measurement.vi, Basic Spectral Measurements.vi,  and Spectrum Measurements.vi. Try opening and
    running these examples to see if the VIs are returning the proper
    results.

  • Unread and read mail not showing in Mail after upgrading to Yosemite

    Hi there,
    I recently upgraded to Yosemite.
    In the Mail app, mail is not showing up properly. I have unread mail, which is not showing up, despite me refreshing or sorting by unread first, and even an email I read this morning on Chrome isn't showing up, as you can see by screenshots.
    How do I fix this issue?

    Hi,
    In Mail > Mailbox dropdown menu, try clicking on Rebuild at the bottom.

  • Firefox does not load websites correctly after latest update

    text is overlapping, fonts are incorrect

    Reset the page zoom on websites that look wrong: "View > Zoom > Reset" (Ctrl + 0 (zero))<br />
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages
    If you increased the minimum font size then try a lower setting (default is none) as a too high value can cause issues like you described.
    *Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced > Minimum Font Size
    *Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced > "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
    You can also do a check for corrupted fonts and other font issues:

  • Server Admin not displaying groups correctly

    Server 10.5.8, Mac Pro 4 core 2.66, 56 GB RAM.
    Had a crash yesterday, all back to normal now except:
    Server Admin's "show users and groups" is not displaying groups correctly" "users" is missng, and any new groups I created in WM are missing. Even if I sort by GID, they don't show up. And yet, if I type "staff" in the search bar, it shows up with GID 20. Also shared folders are showing up as groups

    Surely someone can at least point me in the right direction? I tried rebuilding the LDAP database, but that didn't fix it.

  • Firefox and Twitter and Finder does not display

    I have recently upgraded to Lion recently. The Transition was way rougher compare to the Snow Leopards.
    I am running a MBP 15", 2009 Mid-2009 version.
    It has 2 graphic cards on board, 9400m and 9600GT.
    When I first launched Lion, I was quite shock that my Firefox and Twitter do not display at all.
    After tweaking the system preferences, I realized that when the 9400m graphic card is activated, there isn't any display on several of the Applications,
    including the popular ones like Finder, Twitter and Firefox. The issues are fix when I switch to my 9600GT graphic card.
    Do any of you have the same issues that I am facing?
    I do hope Apple resolves these issues quickly.
    As using my 9600GT graphic translate to very bad battery life and a very warm laptop! I am not happy at paying $29.99 for something that breaks.

    Hey kennychan,
    I've had the same problem. I've done a clean re-install on a reformatted drive and the problem was gone. If you can do a clean reinstall I recommend you give it a shot.
    Best wishes,
    Dmitry

  • My firefox page is not connecting to network and also its not displaying the troubleshoot problems option?

    my firefox page is not connecting to network and also its not displaying the troubleshoot problem option?

    At the very least, I recommend you restart your router, (your internet box).
    More detail on your problem is needed - are you in a submarine? On the moon? On a tropical island?
    You can help yourself by providing as much info as you can about your present situation - what kind of router do you have? Have you moved it? DId you update it?  Did you do anything to change your setup, and if you did, what?

  • Firefox 33 HTML select elements do not display correctly

    HTML form <select> elements do not display options correctly in Firefox 33.
    For example:
    <select id="field_4" class="mainForm" name="field_4">
    <option value=""></option>
    <option value="submitted"></option>
    <option value="pending"></option>
    <option value="discarded"></option>
    <option value="all"></option>
    </select>
    should display a drop down with 5 elements (first one blank) but no elements at all are displayed.
    The bounding box does not seem to be computed correctly so no options display.
    I have observed this issue on multiple pages. These pages displayed correctly in older version of Firefox and they display correctly under IE. The problem occurs with no addons or additional themes installed. The problem does not occur in SafeMode so I suspect that it is theme related but the Default 33.0 theme is the only installed theme and it cannot be disabled outside of SafeMode. I tried installing and changing multiple themes without success. The problem persists after restarting Firefox and after rebooting the computer and even after uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.
    I can supply a screen shot if needed.

    You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
    If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
    Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

  • Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on my blog, but other browsers are.

    I have a web designer issue. Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on the header in my blog. Explorer, Chrome, and Safari have no problems. The page is in css but this particular section has html code o designate color. The code is as follows:
    <font face="helvetica" color="FF9966" size="1">blog</font>
    Though all other browsers display the light orange color designated, Firefox displays white. Strangely, if if retype the code by spelling out a color, Firefox displays it correctly. i.e.
    <font face="helvetica" color="black" size="1">blog</font>
    ... will give me black. You can see the effect by viewing the link below and looking at the word "blog" in the header, which should be light orange but is not in Firefox.

    Actually it also seems to work in the current Firefox 4 beta as it is.
    The code is not right though - the correct syntax for the color attribute with hex values is with a # at the start, so:
    color="#FF9966"
    It might work in Firefox 3.x if you change that.

  • Strange fonts, and some fonts not displaying at all

    Hiya
    I've recently been having problems with Firefox not displaying text correctly - instead it comes up with some jumbled weird characters.
    Here are a few things I've already tried:
    * I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox (I am currently on v3.6.10)
    * I've tried and reinstalled all the default font families in my Control Panel > Fonts
    Here are some screenshots of what I mean:
    http://img815.imageshack.us/img815/4277/personalbuissnescardbus.png
    In this one, there should be some text on the left hand side in the menu and also some useful text where the jumbled characters are near the bottom of the page.

    In this one, there should be some text in the top header, on the right hand side and also in the comments in the whitespace at the bottom
    Its been like this for a while now, but its now starting to irritate as its making it difficult to read some pages.
    Hugely appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks

    This issue can be caused by an old bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or (bitmap) fonts that Firefox can't display in that size.<br />
    Firefox can't display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size and displays gibberish instead.<br />
    You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
    Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or see if you can find a True type version that doesn't show the problem.
