I made a mistake by downloading Firefox 4.0 Beta 12 and I can't work with this version. How do I go back to the older version. I need help quickly as I am unable to print my work. This is bad.

Tonight I tried to book a complicated multi city International itinerary on United Airlines site. Spent 30 minutes getting it right, went right to "Purchase" page and the SAME issue ..... click "BUY" button - and ZILCH.
Removed Firefox 4, did it all again, and worked fine using Firefox 3.6.
Thanks Firefox for wasting a good hour of my time tonight.
Tech boards all over the globe have reported these glitches for quite a while on order buttons, and the geeks there seem to be all asleep.
Bill Gates must be laughing his head off - and you now have ''Microsoft's VISTA'' on your hands.
They did not fix that either, and folks still use it as an example of an "UPDATE" that should never have been released as the bugs were never Beta Tested out.

Is a Beta release secure enough for e-commerce ?

I know beta versions are generally''' not''' recommended as everyday browsers,but now that current Firefox betas are conceptually more like release candidates,are they stable and secure enough to be used for e-commerce (ebay and the likes) just like a normal release version? If nothing,they should receive security fixes before the release,whilst critical bugs should have already been dealt with in earlier stages,is that understanding correct?
edit:yes this was posted with a nightly but the question was really aimed at current beta releases.

Firefox 8.0 beta becomes a release version today 11/08 at 8am PST. Security is no issue with any version, as all supported versions are going to get an update today.

Why FireFox 4.0 Beta 12 is not printing properly like beta 11 or MS explorer

After installing FireFox 4.0 Beta 12, any web page that I try to print : the text and style are all different size and no respect of border and justification. But the graphic are intact/Ok.
Take note that the printing was perfect in version beta 11 and printing the same page work perfectly with Ms explorer. Plus I have 3 printers and none print correctly with this new version. I even try to remove all my add on and no change

It is not a good idea for most people to install a pre-release nightly builds available from that link. They will get updates for them every day, and though the current ones are stable it is not unusual for the nightly builds to be unstable, and sometimes unusable.

this is true, because a FF 38 release version will get made into a ESR 31.7.0 build, which will turn into FF 38 ESR. But there isn't a 31.7.0 build yet.

The Firefox 38 will not turn into Firefox 31.7.0. Once 38 is released, we will have two ESR's, one of which is the new 38, and the other is the 31 code base with the security fixes from 38. then after another release or two, we will migrate all 31 ESR's to 38 and stop releasing new 31 branch releases.

Differance between Firefox 3.6.6 & Upgraded got Firefox 4.0 Beta

What Is the Difference between the two ? I have Firefox 3.6.6 & got an Update message & now I have Firefox 3.6.6 & Firefox 4.0 Beta. (safe mode) Why ? I don't need both of them do I ? Or was this a computer illiterate error

Firefox 4.0 Beta is a pre-release version for "testers" of beta software for the upcoming Firefox 4.0 version, which probably won't be ready for "public" use until the end of this year.
You shouldn't have gotten 4.0 beta as an update for any Release version, like 3.6.6. Any chance there is another user of that PC?

I find the beta version to be very stable. If you are not sure about using beta software it would be better to wait for the official release of Firefox 4. Though no date has been set it should not be too long, possibly next month.

Export your HTML and then Just edit index.html with any text editor look for sentence <link rel="...................................>
Then delete all this sentence and copy this one

I usually copy the favicon.ico in the folder images so the sentence will be like this

Is 33.0 a Beta release as it says in view more info or a strongly recommended security and stablilty release?

I was about to apply the new Filefox 33.0 update, but when I went to "View more information", the page there says 33.0Beta. I don't want a beta release. I am not sure what to do. I have Windows 7 Professional and Firefox 32.0.3 now. Thanks.

Firefox 32.0 would not update to a Beta build of 33.0 unless you were using a Beta build of 32.0 and not the 32.0 Release at time.
Firefox 33.0 is on Beta channel (currently at 33.0b9) and it will be on Release channel for Release as of October 14. The Beta channel will then start with 34.0b1.

Hey guys real quick. So after updating to the new 7670IMS>310 bios so that I may use my GTX780s, I reinstalled with windows 8. Everything was fine until I was on teamviewer just last nite and upon switcing sides my bios got corrupted. How do I know you ask? Upon getting back into windows my LANS did not work so I had not internet connection. I tried uninstalling it from Device Manager and deleting it. After a few clrmos. I thought I would switch over to the other bios and see if the LAN works and it does because of the status lights because now it lights up. So I switch back to main bios and LAN works but it would not post whatsoever and just cycles through post finally ending with a " DE ". Not sure what the new LED DEBUG codes are but if someone could post it would be nice to be able to refer to it.
Anyways on win 8, no matter what it will not let me into windows And when it looks like it will...gives me "your pc ran into problems and we are collecting data and we'll restart after" message. After a few of these wonderful messages, I decided I was going to flash my bios again. It did look like I was sucessful until after restart it did the same thing. Going through post I saw 19,15 then shuts off. Does this and ends with "DE" pc still on but nothing. No windows.
I got lucky a few times and was able to get into my bios and decided I was going back to Win 7 64......I put the good ole XFX6990 back in and got windows 7 to reinstall and continue to flash my bios to an older one. I used your method before and it work> from 3.0 back to 1.5 then from 1.5 back to 1.2 for OC purposes. So i tried that method but it looked like it just reflash it with 3.1, odd.
So after a few restarts everything seems fine, no cycles just normal. When I reboot normal process no double boots or cycles this time so I thought hey, that fixed my corrupted bios somehow. I thought I gotten lucky.... So I switch out the good old 6990 and in with my 780s. Reinstalled win 7 and upon completion of windows update. Again with the cycles of 19,15 turns off does this again over and over like 5 or 6 times and ends with "DE"
And this is where I'm at atm. I remember when I DL'd the flasher and bios. I only saw 2 files which was " VALVE CHECK AND E7670IMS.310".
When I tried to do it again with the same method as the first I have "

This time it does not go through the same when flashing, just tells me bios update complete. I've done this a million times and all have been successful.
Basically I'm still on 3.1 bios but I 'm curious as what other methods do you suggest I try now? I have left everything alone after reinstalling windows and updates. Everything seems okay, reboots fine no cycles and still get the random hit or miss with 15,19 turns off cycles and ends with "DE". Would like to get a resolution if possible. Thank you and I know I said real quick right, but really. Thanks for any help.

Just recently I was notified that the app would no longer work because of changes that have been made. I have tried to follow the instructions that were emailed to me regarding how to setup the new Firefox Sync add-on, but I am having a problem. I'm finding it frusrtrating and annoying since I cannot use Firefox 4.0 Beta 6. It works on other accounts excluding mine - What is this crap rigged or something? I have to resort to crappy Google Chrome and Safari since it messed up on both of my computers... Firefox 3.6.13 will not uninstall after I installed Firefox 4.9 beta

I have Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3. I installed Firefox 4.9 beta and have 2 Firefox browsers (also Firefox 3.6.13). Now I want to uninstall 3.6.13. When I click on uninstall Firefox 3.6.13 from Add/Delete Programs nothing happening - no response. Please help me to resolve this issue.

You can keep the Firefox 3.6.x version as you may need it to visit websites that do not work properly in the Firefox 4 beta version. Remember that you are using unfinished beta software with know bugs that may not work properly all the time.
