FireFox 4 Blocks Yahoo mail on Windows XP.
I have updated flash and tried with all add ons disabled. Other browsers on the same computer, Windows XP, are not having the same problem.
FireFox on my Mac is also not having a problem.
Please help.

I can log into my Yahoo account okay. However, when I go to access and open my mail, there seems to be this endless searching, as if firefox is sifting through my files but does not stop. It keeps going on forever.

thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.
i hope that helps anyone out there also!

All buttons in Firefox have dissappeared after a PC optimization software- please help!

I am using Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop.
I used AVG's PC clean-up as a trial (no longer have access to it).
During the process, I chose to turn off blinking and revolving content on Firefox (thinking I was turning off those annoying ads).
Now, all of my 'buttons' are just blank boxes. I use gmail: the star option on the inbox has disappeared. The 'send', 'spam', 'trash', etc above the email- those are just blank boxes (they still do work though- I just have to move over them to get the explanation to see what they are). This is not the case with the 'star' however.
I have been all over settings, and have tried the JAVA advanced.
I think this must be something set outside of Firefox. Internet Explorer runs fully functional.
Please help. I really do not want to have to re-install Firefox as I don't want to lose all of my saved passwords and bookmarks.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Another person who doesn't understand how to set CLASSPATH.
Move those JARs into the same directory as your SendMailBean.java and do it like this:
javac -classpath .;mail.jar;activation.jar -d . *.java

I upgraded to a newer version of Firefox last month around June 14 th time frame and I lost ALL my bookmarks, these are very Important to me , I have tried everything that was suggested online and now would like to know if there is anything Firefox can do to get my bookmarks back, Please help me. I wish I had never upgraded, why on earth didn't Firefox warn me that this might happen if they did I would have never upgraded as they requested. Instead of removing the music from the cloud or the iTunes library why not shuffle your music using a Smart Playlist which excludes the holiday music, or tracks that are not checked. For example, use this very simple Smart Playlist:

Limitation of XP, videos over 500MB's can't be imported using Camera/Scanner wizard. Try transfering these Videos directly from your phone by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the movie files to your computer's hard drive.

I'm having trouble downloading the lastest version of iTunes from the apple website.
I clicked download iTunes etc and then got the itunessetup thingy, so I tried installing it but within seconds the wizard does to the end page and says:
'ITunes installer completed.
The installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured. Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified.
Please run the installer again, or click finish to exit.'
I have tried installing it several times and keep getting the same issue. I also uninstalled everything I have from Apple on my laptop and tried installing iTunes again then with no luck.
It's really frustrating me now and i have no idea what to do. I've tried searching this issue but other people have posted about different problems to this one so I dont know how to fix it. Help please?

Coming from Windows 7? It is quite analogous, especially if you were a keyboard user. Ctrl-Esc (or press and release Win) shows you the equivalent of the Start Menu, which is now called the Start Screen. In W7 once you brought up the
Start Menu you may have been aware that you could either click on pinned items, click on pinned Taskbar buttons, click on Desktop shortcuts, OR... do some typing to bring something up from your installed applications. Well, in W8 we could do the first
and the last completely the same and now in W8.1.1 we can do all of those things. There are also new options which can keep you mostly oblivious of the Start Screen if you would prefer to do that.
But to answer your specific example, after you see the Start Screen (or All apps view of it) just start typing P O
