Firefox 4 crashes every time on typing in textarea with certain conditions

i'm typing into any textarea. to get crash, i
# 1) type any strings into
# 2)i need some line, not first, not last and empty
# 3)typing into it, i will always crash
i noticed it from somewhere about b10, and it's still on latest PPA builds.
*in particular ways the line's criterias are less strict, and it can crash even on typing a letter in

OK. So here's my problem. I have a Java Plug-In 2 for NPAPI Browsers 13.4.0. I noticed that when I would copy and try to paste into a text area in another tab (or even the same tab for that matter), my texts would lock up. I saw the above answer, and figured I would see if disabling this plug-in would do the trick. It did ... for only that particular copy and paste. I'd try it again, and in order for the copy and paste to work without locking up my typing ability completely, I find I have to enable and disable the Java plug-in. This is extremely frustrating, because I cut and paste A LOT. It was even more frustrating, however, when I had to completely shut down Firefox in order to have my typing privileges returned. Now at least I can copy and paste, but this extra step is ridiculous. I have Mac OSX 10.6.6, btw.
It'd be great if Firefox could update this. Oh, and one other thing -- I used to be able to click a down arrow in my back button to see where I've been to easily navigate to a previous page, but it appears that's been removed as well. That's a story for another thread, however. The big issue is the copy and paste. Please fix this, Firefox!!!

FF 9 beta crashes just as much for me.
Only 3 entries left in the Registry under "Run". 1x "OOdefrag" & 2x "Trend Micro". The "Trend Micro" extension no longer works with 8-9 either.
Only 3 addons.. "Acrobat", "Java" & "Flash". And only 1 Extension... Mozilla Feedback 1.1.2. Where else to look?? I want v7 back!

ITunes crashing every time it tries to connect with the Store

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version, but every time it starts to connect with the store the program crashes. The one time it did load was when it was not able to connect with the store because the internet had reset right at that same moment. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks!

sorry, fixed.
i deleted all the third party plugins i had in library/itunes/plugins and it works fine now.
gapless playback is pretty badass.

every time i open Firefox it crashes. Opens to home page ok but when I click on a site from book marks or from toolbar it crashes.

Firefox 6 crashes every time I try to start it, safemode aswell. 5 worked perfectly but now I can't download 5 again

Firefox automatically downloaded and installed version 6 without my authorisation and now it has stopped working. I can't get it to run in safemode either. I have tried a total uninstall and reinstall but I get the same problem. Every time I select it a small crash window appears instead of the browser that asks me to report the crash. Now I can't find a link to re download version 5.

If I am on e bay, there are times that I place a bid near the end of the bidding process. It has never been a problem until last year, but now every time I place a bid, the second I confirm the bid on e bay, Firefox crashes and I have to reboot?? it. Firefox is crashing every time I open it. A box pops up with options to load several add-ons, then it crashes. You should have several reports on this already.

As per the above, every time I open Firefox, a box appears on the left, offering me the option to update certain add-ons. It then crashes. end of story!

Firefox has worked fine forever, until I tried to open it today and it just crashes instantly. I have tried safe mode, a clean install, malware scans, nothing is helping. It just instantly crashes.

you can also try to boot the computer in '''Windows Safe mode''' with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and check firefox again.
(If works in Windows Safe mode then you have a problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer).

Why does GarageBand crash every time I try to record a certain song.

I have recorded many songs using the GarageBand app. However I've been trying to record a new one and every time I get just past the middle point, the app crashes. I reset it and am able to retrieve all my other songs but when I try to pull up the one song to complete it, it crashes again.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I was working on a song arrangement when the app crashed, I reset, now I cannot load that song without a crash? Of course it would be my favorite and the one I spent most of my time creating however I have more complex songs and they load and edit with no problem even if I add to them. I keep trying and it might be wishful thinking but it seems to load a little more before crashing so I haven't deleted it. Instead I'm crossing my fingers for a solution.

MDCrashReportTool crashes every time iPhone 3G is synced with iTunes

Every time I plug in my iPhone 3G to sync with iTunes, MDCrashReportTool unexpectedly quits.
I've reported it a bunch of times, but I think things run a bit smoother if I just relaunch it. Is anyone else getting this? Has anyone gotten rid of this problem?

Restoring the iPhone seems to have fixed the problem. In response to SMRS: I think that we should all qualify for the title of "newly restored" since the new OS/firmware has only been out for a week. Installing the new system was effectively a "restore" because it wiped the phone and re-wrote it from backup to begin with. I agree, though, that we shouldn't have to be restoring our phones a week after we upgrade the system. That's just nonsense.
In any case, give the restore a try and let it load the backups; I'm curious to see if it solves the problem for you like it did for the rest of us.

Firefox suddenly crashing every time I open it

Without any changes to my computer, as far as I can tell, I lost the ability to open Firefox without it crashing. I've tried rebooting, re-installing, Safe Mode, new profile...nothing seems to work.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

Firefox 18 crashes every time I close a tab

I open firefox and it goes to my homepage (used both animalrescuesite.com & google.com). I open a second tab. If I close the homepage tab, firefox crashes. If I open a third tab and close the 2nd or 1st, it crashes. It crashed so often, I reinstalled firefox 17 to make this report. I run Win7 32 bit. Let me know what else you need to know. Thank you. I love using firefox, but this is a deal breaker if I can't fix it.

I had the same issue and initially disabled both Norton Extensions but was curious as to why it was not an issue on my wife's PC. Turns out I had Norton Safe Search set as my default search provider. Once I changed this to another provider (click on the down arrow next to the providers icon in the search pane) I was able to reactivate the Norton Extensions and I no longer have any issues.
