Firefox 4 google crash

Hello,
I installed Firefox 4 on several machines a couple of days ago. All Windows 7 x64, all fast and clean.
Firefox 4 looks great and works fine, but crashes '''EVERY TIME''' when opening '''Google '''and trying to view search results.
'''HELP!!!'''

I found the solution from someone else's question. The solution is to install the 64 bit version of google phone. It doesn't automatically update when you install Firefox 4.

    2. Click 'Addons'<br>
    3. Go to the 'Extensions' tab<br>

  • Firefox keeps crashing when I search something up on Google

Firefox keeps crashing when I search something up on Google. The homepage for Google works fine but once I search for anything, the program just freezes. Whats wrong? I am running the new Firefox 4.0, Windows 7 64-bit. This problem never happened with Firefox 3.6

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Firefox keeps crashing, especially when I try to search in google.

This looks more like a problem with the Arial Black font.
Maybe you can reinstall this font or temporarily uninstall it.
Try to refresh the font registry by reinstalling corrupted fonts.<br />
    Open Control Panel > Fonts<br />
    Choose > File > Install new Font<br />
    Browse to the C:\windows\fonts folder<br />

  • Google Reader comments cause Firefox to crash.

Clicking the link to add a comment to a Google Reader entry causes Firefox to crash unexpectedly. I've only had this problem since the 3.6.12 update. So far as I can tell, I don't have any problematic add-ons, and my browser is up to date.

This can be problem with one of the fonts that is used on that page and that is corrupted.
You can use the System File Checker to check if font files are missing or corrupted.

  • I've switched from Google to Firefox because I was so tired of Google crashed all the time. Now I have the same problem with Firefox, Bank id, file down

    Hej!
I've switched from Google to Firefox because I was so tired of Google crashed all the time. Now I have the same problem with Firefox, Bank id, file downloading, accessing Web pages, none of it works. What is the error?
    Ronnie.

When Firefox crashes, it usually records information about what was happening at that moment and displays the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Are you seeing that, or is Firefox just freezing and you're killing it?
Assuming you have crashes, you can submit that data to Mozilla and share it with forum volunteers to see whether it points to the solution. Please check the support article "[[Firefox Crashes]]" (especially the last section) for steps to get those crash report IDs, and then post some of the recent ones here.
If that's not possible, have you tried Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
    Any difference?

  • Latest Google Maps Causes Firefox to Crash 100% of the time.

Here is the crash report. This always happens. Please help provide assistance.
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/08f67257-ceac-464b-b519-94c9c2140326

I produced some steps that got FireFox to crash again at Google Maps. This had a different error, below.
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/20963f7a-2973-478f-a85c-8bec82140326
Looking at this one, it said that it was fixed by a known bug:
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=943511
That bug says that it is resolved in version 29. I was running version 27. I manually checked for updates (for some reason it did not prompt me?), downloaded and installed version 28. Version 29 is not available. Version 28 crashed at Google Maps as well, though it took a little longer. Version 28's crash is available here:
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/79ded35b-301d-4129-8ff6-c73352140326
    Completely different error.
I could not get it to crash in safe mode. It slowed down to a snails pace, like it often does right before it crashes, but it stayed up. I rebooted to full mode, updated some plugins and disabled others. Restarted, and went back into Google Maps. It did a lot better than it did earlier in the day, but it did eventually crash. The error is below.
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/57a88a26-ae9d-4508-9d33-ae6bd2140326
Yet another crash, but all of these happen when I go to Google Maps. I'd love to get support, but I don't think I'll be spending any more hours on this. I'll either stop using Google Maps or stop using Firefox if this doesn't go away very soon.

  • Firefox keeps crashing at seemingly random and infrequent times on different websites each time. One moment it will be fine, then without reason it will crash continuously

For a good few months now Firefox has quite frequently been crashing on me for no reason that i can distinguish. I have attempted to fully re-install Fire-Fox with a fresh install and tried sorting out the addons but nothing seems to help. I also ensure to run it in administrator mode for windows 7 but again, to no success. Basically i could be browsing the web perfectly fine and it will randomly crash on a website, what websites it crashes on changes all the time, some times it even crashes on my google homepage constantly and often only a computer restart will sort it out. It will then run fine for a short while before inevitably Firefox will crash again. If i could find out whats causing these crashes i could then work on stopping them. Thanks in advance for any support.

  • Firefox randomly crashes every 5 to 10 minutes (mswsock.ddl)

As the title says, Firefox has been crashing every few minutes for the last couple days. It doesn't seem to matter how many tabs I have open or what websites I'm on either. I've tried updating, running in Safe Mode, and re-installing with no effect. Below are the last several crash reports I've gotten. They all mention a file called "mswsock.dll" and Google suggested that it might be infected, but a full system scan with Avast and MSE both came up clean so I'm pretty lost.

  • Every time I try to view images with firefox it crashes, shuts down and then asks if I want to re-open, how do I view images again with firefox?

Everytime I try to view images with firefox it crashes, submits a report, to which I've had no response yet, asks if I want to restart firefox with last session or start a new session. What is going on?

It only happens if I try to use google images with firefox. I've now narrowed it down to an extension, AVG SafeSearch, doesn't happen if I disable this.

Internet Explorer,  Firefox , Opera and Google Chrome are Browsers. Yahoo and Google, unless you are referring to Google Chrome are not browsers. The browser is what you need to change. there are three images below of three different browsers. You are probably using Internet Explorer. Switch to another browser for a test print.
    Google Chrome
    Firefox
    Opera
Do you understand the term browser as an interface? It is a graphical user interface through which you connect to MSN and Yahoo to browse the internet.

Firefox constantly crashing no matter what site I go to. Here are my crash reports - you can see the times and dates are pretty frequent.
Only 1 module doesn't have a version number, but doing google search there are ton of results for this file.
Google searched, checked for updates for firefox, add-ons, java, and flash..i've added these add-ons AdBlock, IE Tab, Webmail, and a theme(LavaFox V1 1.3.3).
    Ran virus scans and nothing.

The crashes seem to be related to garbage collection (i.e. cleanup 'unused' memory, but in this case the memory may still be in use) and such crashes are hard to diagnose.
