Firefox 4 hangs when I 'send' a reply in Yahoo Mail - freezes computer - didn't happen with 3.5.
After restarting the computer, firefox offers to restore settings. When I check Sent Items it shows that the message was actually sent even though firefox stopped responding before confirming it.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Verify you have the correct user name and password in Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
Also check to make sure you have your username entered into your outgoing server option.

after installing the latest upgrade firefox just hangs when opening - was fine before. have tried deleting restore session but worse not better now. no change with firewall.

When I send an email from Apple mail, it send inbedded links, not embedded, my font shows as plain text and signature sends as attachment??

Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

When I send an email message, my Mail shows two messages outgoing instead of just one.
What is going on? Is it possible some "spyware" has crept in?There is an email address on my website that automatically forwards to my "regular" email address, but this problem predates setting up that website. My primary email is a bellsouth account (AT&T) which switched to a Yahoo mail-supported service....so based on your comments, perhaps that is why the activity is looking weird.

We used to get a 'whooshing' noise when we sent an eMail using mac Mail. This no longer happens. We recently updated to Mountain Lion 10.8.1 Can anyone throw light on this please? David

I clicked on yahoo mail, it opened the page but then freezes showing that it it still going on.
Same thing happens when google page open for search.Don't have McAfee, Norton, AVG, actually nothing else running. Had Firefox 4 installed on 5 computers at home and 2 at work. Completely separate ISP's at home and work. XP and WIN7 computers. Yahoo mail freezes and I tried the old Yahoo mail, the new Yahoo mail, and the Beta Yahoo mail. The only way I can sometimes get mail to open is to right-click and open in a new tab or window. I uninstalled all of the computers running Firefox 4 and went back to 3.6.16. Just too buggy and the look of it is strange.

When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings>Safari>Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is, my ipad does not a Private Browsing switchat this location.
With iOS 7 on the iPad, you turn Private Browsing on and off by tapping the URL field. The screen that opens up has your bookmarks on it. In the bottom left corner is a hot button marked 'PRIVATE'. Tap on the word 'PRIVATE' to turn private browsing on or off. Yeah, there aren't any instructions anywhere that I can find to do this, and if you follow Yahoo's instructions, they don't work. This doesn't happen with the previous Apple OS, and you can restore your iPad to the older OS.

Since I downloaded Firefox 4, I can't see attachments in my Yahoo mail. This is not a problem of Yahoo, because with Internet Explorer works fine. What is the problem?Ok, now they are showing. I restarted my computer again and they are showing now.

after mixing a project i select bounce and burn the disc that is burned plays on any cd player but when i try to burn the wav or mp3 file that was created the resulting disc will only play in a computer this also happens with video projects help please are there any settings i need to alter as it seems the wav or mp3 file i ceated is being converted to a data file somewhere between the folder and disc drive
Same thing for a movie file.. If you want to play back the movie via a DVD and a DVD player you must create a Movie DVD and not just burn files to a data DVD... as Data DVDs are just storage devices for files and therefore will only work with computers...
Movie DVDs are special formats that include things like menus and special file formats.. so they can playback via a DVD Player...
You will need a 3rd party DVD Burning app like Toast which is what i actually use.... or the more popular DVD Creator app...to create and then burn a Movie DVD that will playback on a DVD Player....
