Firefox 4 not working with Javascript. Cannot close window. Any ideas?
I first noticed the problem in my web site, but now in other sites. When I open a window and try to press the button to close it, it doesn't work. Code is: javascript:window.close();
It worked in previous version of Firefox but not since I loaded 4.0. I tried it in Explorer and it works fine.
Hi, I've noticed the same issue . But for me this happens if I use Print Preview first. JavaScript works just fine before using Print Preview. But the most interesting thing is that when using javascript:window.close(); after Print Preview all that happens is that the character set of the page changes. Product key will not work with this edition of Windows 7
I received a product key for Windows 7 Professional N whilst I was at University via Dreamspark. I'm building a new computer and when it's come to inputting the product key, it comes up saying Product key will not work with this edition of Windows 7.
The version I installed was Windows 7 Professional using an iso and a USB. I rang the phone activation number and when I got through to a representative, I gave him the product key and he said it is valid and should be working. He transferred me to technical
services but instead I got cut off.
At this point I'm really not sure what the issue is, the key was for Windows 7 Professional N, I installed Windows 7 Professional and customer support confirmed it as a valid key. Thanks-VitaleyesI don't know what they call it, but my plantronics voyager pro, and my wifes plantronics voyager pro+ will not let you hear music through the headset. My Blueant T1 does support it and plays the music through the deadset.

Microsof VX 3000 or 6000 Webcam does not work with Lync 2013 under Windows 8.1

The problem is that i cannot use the Microsoft VX-3000 or VX-6000 with Lync 2013 under Windows 8.1.
If i go in settings under Video i can see the preview from the webcam just fine, so it works there no problem.
Wenn i try to enable my camera in a conference it does not work, i get an error: Your video cannot be started.
Now, there are no Windows 8.1 drivers for the Webcam so i installed the latest Windows 7 drivers. Because of that this webcam does not work with apps, that is fine i understand the driver problem and the way the new apps work.
But this Webcam works with skype under Windows 8.1 and it works with Lync 2010 client.
The same Webcam works just fine with Lync 2013 under Windows 7.
Is there anything i could do so that i get this Webcam to work with Lync 2013 desktop client under Windows 8.1?

According to your description, it may be caused by driver.
You can try to install the latest version of Display Driver to fix the display issue.
Since there is no driver for Windows 8.1, I suggest you wait for updating.

Firefox not working with gmail
i tried to load gmail, but the standard view does not load, only the basic html version.
whereas it loads perfectly internet explorer 9 or firefox v4.
tried reinstalling, clearing cookies etc.. nothing changed.
even tried "network.http.spdy.enabled" to false as given on http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/928888#answer-339203 but nothing happened.

am using windows xp sp3This is silly (and stupid). Why should I have to go to IE anything? Firefox worked fine with gmail until I went to this new version (16), I went to the beta version and gmail still did not work. I thought you guys were supposed to be unbiased? I should be able to use one program for my mail and my internet and not lose any of my cookies or services. I went to you guys because I was able to use all the services without any problems, now need two services so I can use my mail (no, I am not changing mail services...I like gmail and have a very set and established email address. It would cause a lot of problems trying to get my friends to memorize a new one...we like the one I have now).

Our MDT server is acting strange!
I have previously had this system running without problem - i could both capture and deploy computers as is and no changes have been made to mdt.
But my latest capture does not work. When i capture my reference maching in my VM environment it completes without errors and i can import the latest wim file.
When i deploy the tast sequence, it install the custom Wim image, but it ends up with "login" screen as the administrator i have entered for the capture/deploy sequence, but it goes to stop at this point and applications is not installed.
If i change the ISO in the task sequence under Install OS step, to a clean Win7 install media then the capture completes and install applications.
I have also tried to:
Capture reference without password
Capture reference without Windows updates

Auto hide taskbar not working with iTunes 10.5 & Windows 7
Anyone else having problems with Auto-hide Taskbar not working when iTunes is open and the active window? Was working fine with previous versions including the beta of 10.5 I had. Is this a general problem or just me? Im using Windows 7 64bit for what its worth.
Chiming in with the same problem. 64-bit Win 7 Professional, taskbar set to auto-hide, newest version of iTunes (actually uninstalled and reinstalled via the website download earlier today to see if that would fix it; nope). I normally use the Alt+Tab keys to navigate between windows anyway, so it's not inconveniencing me too much, but it's still irritating when I'm trying to use the mouse to switch windows (or check the time) and realize I can't. Definitely fix this one soon. We'll all be very grateful

I had no problems with CS6 PS, but since I upgraded to PS CC, NVIDIA Tools is now not working and crashes when I try to reinstall the plug-in into PS CC. I checked NVIDIA's forums and found ZIP from them about this problem. So I am asking in here, is there another plug-in that will open .DDS files in PS? I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for the OS, and I know the PS CC is 32 bit. Until I can resolve this issue, I am unable to do repaints of PMDG aircraft for my VA. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also reccomend you to install the bbswitch package which disables NVIDIA discrete graphics card when isn't used. -
Submit buttons not working....:o( - ANY IDEAS??
okay i got a form - ApplicantForm.jsp and that has two buttons on it...
'ACCEPT' and 'REJECT'
the next page - CurrentStatus.jsp - should be brought up but its just not working!
whenever a button is pressed a blank screen with just the buttons is being brought up and no changes are being made to the database.
what needs to happen is that it performs the little calculation - and the updates the value in the database...here's the code

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

iPad audio output does not work, except for on Siri. The mute button is not on, and the volume buttons have no effect/ don't work (unless Siri is open). I have reset the iPad, tried iOS7 and iOS8 resets, which didn't help. The audio output mostly works when headphones are out in, but has a tendency to cut out from time to time. Without headphones, Audio might start working again briefly from time to time, but most the time it doesn't. Any ideas on what is wrong with it and how to fix it?
my iPad is a 3rd gen, 16GB wifi only model, if that helps

iOS 8 isn't even out yet. If you are running iOS 8, I assume you are a developer and if you are, you are in the wrong forum to try to get help. If you are not a developer and you're running iOS 8, maybe that's why you are having problems on the iPad.

The type that I made bold doesn't make sense. Is this a typo and you mean that " headphones are not in"?

And you know they are incorrect because you get sound here and there from time to time? That fact doesn't prove that something isn't working correctly inside. You could very well have a bad connection inside the device causing this, but somehow you seem to know that's not the case. -

If you are referring to the functional keys on top. do you press FN key together with the F7, F8 or F9? Does that work?
I hardly ever use the F keys as CMD_ARROW is much faster for me and SPACE bar stops or starts as long as iTunes app is in the foreground -
Face Time not working consistently from Kabul, Afghanistan. Any ideas?
I am in Kabul, Afghanistan and have an iPhone 4S that I can Face Time with my family successfully. They are in the US. I am calling their iPhone 4 and Macs. When I try calling other iPhones and/or Mac's (also in the US), I get the error message that their phones are not available. From email exchanges I have made, with the parties I am trying to call, it appears that they have done everything they need to do to Face Time successfully. In fact, they are able to Face Time with everyone else but me.
Where I am located, in order for Face Time to work, I have to have the wifi turned on, iPhone in Airplane mode, and cellular services turned off. Any other combination will not work. The fact that I can Face Time with some people tells me that this procedure does work.
The only difference I can see exists in my Contact list. People that I can face Time with, have a "Movie Camera Icon" on their contact page Face Time button. Everyone else does not. Does this mean anything?Hi there lilalex2,
