Firefox 4 was set on "Open new windows in a new tab instead." I unclicked that to test opening in a new window. Decided to go back to the tab option, clicked on it but it does not engage and Firefox 4 continues to open in a new window. Is this a glitch?
I did try rebooting, no go. If anyone knows a way to get that option working, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same problem, but was able to fix it somewhat.
# Open the about:config page.
# Set the ''browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction'' setting to 0 (= zero).
On my machine this will open new windows in a new tab. However, it switches to the new tab regardless of the setting ''"When I open a link in new tab, switch to it immediatly"''.

I have a disk in my mac but it does note come out useing command e to eject? how do i get it out or do I have to get it jixed?
Force eject a stuck cd/dvd
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
If you are running a virtual machine, e.g. VMFusion, ensure that the CD is disconnected from the virtual machine. This will sometimes allow the CD to now show up in Mac OS X.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
Open Disc utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.

Hi, I have an iPad Air. Had downloaded pages app that got deleted by mistake. Now am unable to down load it again. App Store says "you have already purchased this app so it will be downloaded now at no additional charges" but it does not download!!! Pls suggest and help!

why not sort by (name, date, etc) and Click on 1st and Shift-Click on last.
Might work better to copy or import to a project folder.

I have uninstalled the flash player and installed it numerous times with no recognition by the Firefox plug-ins. I also have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it as well. I have also restarted my computer several times as well. The flash player is certainly installed but not working on Firefox. Thanks in advance for your help.

I downloaded Firefox but it will not start. It has not opened. I do not get a home page from Firefox. I do have an icon from a prior version of Firefox but when I click it, the system takes me to MSN.com home page.

Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. When I open FF up again after I have closed it, I want all tabs to return. In Tools/Options/General/ I have' Show my Windows and Tabs from last time' checked-does not work. In addition, the feedback window fails to 'Submit...!'

Hi, I have the iPhone 4, 32GB, version 4.3.5 (8L1) and for some reason when I connect it to the laptop, it starts synchronising but never goes beyond step 1. It goes on syncing forever, without actually doing anything. I have tried everything, wiped the phone numerous times, deleted all files from the laptop but still no resolution. As a result, the phone does not really synchronise.
This started somewhere in May 2011 when I upgraded what proved to be a problematic s/w version and the phone has not recovered since.
Now I cannot update the iPhone s/w any longer.
Any clue?You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

My computer recently has stopped charging and when i go to the battery icon it says i need to service the battery, does this mean my mac actually needs serviced? Or is this just a glitch in the os? Can someone please help me. My battery doesnt acually seem to be depleating but its still a problem i would like solved. The battery lead has no colour in the LED. Please help
You can try an SMC reset:
Resolve power and other issues by resetting the SMCIn some situations, you may need to reset your computer's SMC. Learn how to identify these conditions and reset the SMC.
If that does not fix it, you have software on your Mac that will reveal your battery's condition. Click and hold on your Apple menu (left end of menubar) and the press your OPTION key. The top items will change from "About this Mac..." to "System Information..."
When SI opens, look in the left-hand panel under hardware and find "Power" Click it. You will see this:

The mouse right-click (to copy-paste) menu does not work correctly.
The mouse right-click copy-paste menu often fails in Firefox 4. If I highlight something to copy and then use the mouse to right-click on it, the menu will appear down and to the right. Second, the highlighted command (i.e. copy, paste, etc) will be two steps beneath the mouse pointer. Third, if one chooses "copy" for example, your highlighted text might or might not (usually Not) be copied. This works as expected (perfectly) on this Firefox site, but fails on all other web pages. Note: This is a "company computer" where I am not an administrator.
I am the admin on my PC, and I am not able to select the copy page after I have highlighted an area. I can if a link select copy link, but in short no more copy paste feature on this new Firefox.

The sign in page for yahoo mail wants to set cookies. I get a dialog box that asks to set a second cookie but it is unresponsive, eitehr to check allow or close it. Going to task manage says the site is waiting for input from me but I cannot get the browser to respond in any manner whatsoever.
All other tabs work fine and the yahoo site can be opened with IE fine.Set up to "Ask me every time" in the Privacy elections. I think I found the problem. Looks like there were two dialog boxes, the second right on top of the first so I could not check the first one so it never got the OK and kept waiting for input.
Seems OK now.
