Your problem is caused by the Ask Toolbar which you have installed. There are compatibility issues between Ask and Firefox at the moment.
Please do the following to ensure a clean installation. 
#Use Internet Explorer to download Firefox 4.0.1 from this link: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and choose "'''Save'''" when you see the prompt. Then save it to your desktop. ''Do not choose "Run"''. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box''). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. 
Next, click the Firefox button and go to Add-ons, then Extensions. Find the Ask Toolbar in there and click "Remove".

Hi Everyone,
While Flash Player 11 seems to work for me with most things (e.g. YouTube, most news and video sites, etc), I find that it is crashing all the time when playing browser based games that use flash.
I was over on Yahoo's website http://games.yahoo.com/free-games/ and found that it kept crashing on this page or crashing when trying to load any of the games listed on that page.

How can I uninstall iDVD '08 and install iDVD '06?

There's a reported bug among iDVD '08 users where burning
large projects are resulting in audio synch problems near the
end of the burned DVD.
In other words, the audio slowly goes out of synch towards the
end of burned projects.
This is a problem inherent with 'DVD '08.
I tried uninstalling iDVD '08 and replacing with '06 but it doesn't
work. You try that and iDVD will not launch at all.
Even tried to partition my drive and install iLife '06 to the partition
but the system will not let me.
Anyone have a solution how to completely uninstall iLife '08
components and install iLife '06?

I upgraded to iLife 08 from 06 (bad move). I couldn't install iMovie because my Mac is too old (must be Intel-based or comparable). iDVD didn't work--the document window was always black, even with a theme selected. The Virtual Band function in GarageBand did nothing whatsoever. I trashed the '08 applications, moved all Preferences files to my desktop, reinstalled iLife '06. Now, iDVD won't launch--just flashes the menu bar and exits back to the Finder. So, I have several DVD projects on my system that I cannot finish because I cannot reinstall iLife '06 (like the originator of this problem, "How can I uninstall iDVD '08 and install iDVD '06?") I hope someone has an answer as this is frustrating and costly to my small business.

If you do uninstall firefox 4 take care NOT to use the option that removes settings, that will remove all your profile information for ALL installed versions of firefox, including all your bookmarks and passwords.

Problems with QT 7.1.5 are not limited to Turbo Tax or to particular versions of OSX. If you read the website Macfixit, you will find that many people with many different programmes and system versions are having serious problems with this update of QT, including a stall on the update itself. I phoned tech services in Canada under my AppleCare programme and reached them this morning (March 11) and the technician I spoke with had NO KNOWLEDGE of the many many problems with this updater. I told him that APPLE should immediately remove it from circulation until it is fixed. He said he would report it but he was not enthusiastic nor did he sound overly concerned so I don't know that he will. I also asked for advice about uninstalling 7.1.5 and the only sure thing he could recommend was to re-install the entire system. Not a satisfactory option. But if you are interested, go to Macfixit.com and look for their document on uninstalling it. But as for APPLE, I suggest that everyone having problems after installing 7.1.5 OR with the downloading itself phone APPLE and demand that they pull 7.1.5 from circulation AND provide us, on their website, with their instructions about uninstalling it. I have firefox setup 3.6.13 installed on my computer, I think.
A warning came up to update so I would have new and better protection. When I tried to install the new version it would not install because it said I have a version already running

Still trying to find an answer with no results at all so far. SO, let's try again. I upgraded to iTunes 10 from my older version of iTunes 9, which I found out was so much better for me than the 10 version. I just want to cancel the 10 version and go back to the older version. Turning off the auto-renew does not cancel the service. To actually cancel, or turn off the service, you need to contact iTunes Store support. What the instructions are are getting is telling you to do is to cancel the auto-renew. You can accomplish that by, in iTunes:
1. Pull down the Store menu and select "view account."
2. Enter your credentials when prompted.
3. In the middle of the page click the hightlight button:

I had to do it twice, because my mac froze the first time, but its recognized it now and is downloading the software as we speak...

It won't let me install it on the other computer as a new account, saying that my address is already in use (on the small one) -- that is the crux of the problem.
When I try to set it up as a not-new account (clicking that I already have an account), there are different problems.
Am I right in assuming it needs to be installed on the main computer first (so that the smaller one doesn't wipe out the (more extensive) stuff on the main computer as they sync? I would love to be able to uninstall it on the small one, and start from the beginning on the big one.

I have multiple Windows Server 2008 R2 machines in which I am attempting to do an in place upgrade to 2012 R2, and it is repeatedly failing.
Setup gets all the way through, and it says Getting ready, followed immediately by an error saying: Setup can't continue. Your computer will now restart, and your previous version of Windows will be restored.

I have found several posts, many discussing how disk space can be an issue, I have increased disk space so it shouldn't be an issue. I have also made sure the only only partition on disk 0 is C: and system reserved.
I have disabled all unessential services and went through and removed all unessential applications, and extras. Still getting the error.

trying to do a in-place upgrade of a Domain Controller Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2.
The problem was the separated System Reserved Partition. After I removed using this instructions:

The upgrade ran ok, and now have my DC as Windows 2012 R2.
