Firefox 4 wont load spacific pages correctly

OK; 3 times I have upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to version 4. Every time when I goto the page
http://nzbmatrix.com/index.php
the column headed 'name' is foreshortened and I have to revert back to Firefox 3.6 to resolve the problem

There are lots of complaints inthe forum area of this site about the problem with Firefox 4; most suggest disabling all add ons a nd hardware acc; but some people report this makes no difference.
Here is one reply
"Damn, this issue is frustrating. Ctrl-r does not fix it and neither does turning hardware acceleration off. I am forced to start up chrome to render this correctly.
zstr wrote:
This happens to me when the site is loading extremely slow.
The culprit is the CSS "border-collapse" property.
To fix this get the Stylish add-on and add this style:
CODE:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);
@-moz-document domain( "nzbmatrix.com" ) {
.nzbtable {
border-collapse: separate !important;
Thanks, this did the trick. "
I'll stick with version 3.6 for the time; until another vesion of Firefox is released.

  • Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube after clearing cache

    Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube and ive noticed its always after clearing cache. after a while it will start working properly but its kind of annoying. Know what the problem is?

    oh, there is still a pending issue with youtube unfortunately. I can play videos individually but if I click on a video that is part of a playlist it lags and then goes to a blank space where the video should be. Is that a flash player issue? So, I can play videos individually but not playlists.
    Any word on that would be awesome
    Thanks again

  • Help-Safari wont load any pages-others having same problem

    Safari wont load any pages. Tried reinstalling Safari. Nothing. Zip. Notice that people on the Safari for Windows board are having the same problem.
    WHAT IS GOING ON? Anyone know?
    I get the menu bar, but not Bookmarks, etc. Cannot see a blank page. Cannot open a blank page, BUT my efforts (Untitled and Untitled 2) are reflected in the Dock. A right-click there shows that the pages are open, but obviously invisible.
    I really need to fix this.
    Firefox works. As do other apps.

    EDIT:
    The last thing I did before this happened was open a .pps file I got in email. If I do what was suggested in the Safari for Win post where someone is having the same problem: empty the cache, everything becomes greyed out. Its as if everything becomes invisible.
    If I click on a link in Apple Mail, the URL shows up in the dock right-click as if it has mounted, but it hasn't. No window. Nothing.

    Do you actually have a data plan from your cellular provider?
    Being connected to 3G does not automatically indicate that a data plan exists on the account or is even set up correctly on the carrier side.

  • Anyone notice that Firefox downloads and load a page a lot slower then Dolphin HD?

    Anyone notice that Firefox downloads and load a page a lot slower then Dolphin HD? That has been my experience all morning. I'm on Verizon Droid 2.
    I been testing various web pages using Dolphin & Firefox Mobile, and I have noticed that in general, web pages takes longer to download and slower to render in Firefox Mobile then in Dolphin HD. It is not a cache issue as I clear my cache between tries.
    Firefox Mobile 4 (downloaded 3/21/2011)?
    Dolphin HD 4.5.0

    I have the same problem on my website. It only happens in Firefox. IE, Chrome and Safari are working fine.
    Very strange behaviour. Check this page: http://1stlook.nl/webdesign-eindhoven.html
    You have to push the orange button twice. First time it only drops. Only if you click in the right corner it works???

Its got so bad I'm back to using my windows laptop!!

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    Try this... go up on the menu bar to: *Safari > Preferences > Security* and see if *Accept cookies:* is set to Never, if so change it to *Only from sites I visit*.

  • Firefox doesn't load a page or GIf unless I am moving the mouse

    Firefox won't load any page or play a GIF unless I am moving the mouse or typing. I have the latest version of Firefox. It happens every couple of times I use the computer, and the problem keep occuring if I just restart Firefox. Any ideas?

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Firefox crashes when loading certain pages. ID: d9839212-23dd-4214-94a1-8a7db2100704

    Firefox crashes when loading certain pages. Often pages with video content
    == Crash ID(s) ==
    ID: d9839212-23dd-4214-94a1-8a7db2100704

    The crash reports indicates the crashes may be caused by a file named mcbrwctl.dll, that file is part of McAfee Site Advisor. Try disabling the McAfee Site Advisor to see if that stops the crashes.
    To do that, in the Tools menu select Add-ons to open the add-ons manager. Select the Extensions panel, then in the list of extensions select McAfee Site Advisor then click on the Disable button. Re-start Firefox to complete the process.
    For info McAfee Site Advisor has caused various problems with Firefox for quite a few people.

  • Mozilla firefox wont load any page,

    When I type in a web address and hit enter I gt this message:
    Unable to connect
    Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com. (or website I try to connect to)
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    Did this just start after updating to Firefox 32? If so, could you check this support article: [[Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox]].

  • Internet wont load a page

    Ok so I have jsut bought a new MacBookPro and love it, however sometimes my internet pages wont load. It continues to say loading untill it finally say cannot be opened etc etc but then i refresh it and it comes up normal.... Its not my internet connection becuase the other computers on the network are fine... its happening both in safari and firefox and its starting to give me the willies...

    HI,
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Could be a 3rd party plugins causing the problem. Go to ~/Library/Internet Plugins. Move any 3rd party plugins to the Trash and restart your Mac.
    Also, if you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.
    Your profile indicates you are running 10.6.1. Download and install the 10.6.2 combo udpate available here. That will bring your system software up to date.
