Firefox 4b1 seems to crash on quit
According to Mac OS 10.6.4's crash reporter, Firefox 4b1 crashes on quit. This happens every single time I quit the program.
However, the Mozilla crash reporter never shows up when I reopen Firefox.

This means no crash reports have been submitted. Try to make it crash and make sure the mozilla crash reporter comes up and that it says '''Restart Firefox''' and '''Quit Firefox''' clicking either one of those will submit the report.
Also make sure you are checking the box to submit the report.

Firefox has been randomly crashing for two days. I always have google and facebook running. Firefox seems to crash at random times - no specific web page loading. My Firefox is up to date.
There can be multiple reasons for crashing. Seeing this article would be helpful as it lists out the solution for this-

BI 7 Bex seems to crash quite often
Hi All,
Since using BI 7 my Bex seems to crash quite often (I hear the same complaints from other users) . Lately it seems to be even worse. it normally happens when I am trying to update the variable selection screen The system freezes and I get a fatal excel error. (guess it may be a widespread issue with Bi7) Does anyone meet the similar problem and do you have any suggestion for this.
Thanks a lot,Hi everybody,
we experience similar problems - but: and this is very annoying: the problem occours very sporadicaly and seems not to be reproduceable.
There seems not to be any client-side log or error-message in the most cases. The client just crashes. The server-logs state that obviously the client just disappeared and hence the connection was broken.
It seems as if the crash would occour often in the context of opening the variables-screen.
We're at SPS18 - which is currently the latest service-pack-stack-level.
So if you should have any hints how to get more information about the problem, please let me know.
The SAP-Support just reacted with a link to note 9 --> problem is not reproduceable --> not soluteable --> order a consultant. -
Acrobat 10.1.7 crash on quit on 10.7.5
Hello,
I've experience frequent Acrobat crash on quit when running under Lion 10.7.5. I have refresh the Acrobat prefences as suggested in previous discussions. Still no dice.
Crash report: http://pastebin.com/GPAcAnxC
Anyone can help?
Thanks
TI was experiencing very similar behavior in Safari and Firefox.
What I did and it seems to have worked was this:
1. Updated to Safari 5.1.5 ( http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ ). If you were like me you never updated to the Safari 5.1.x versions because you would lose the ability to work with Acrobat and Reader within Safari otherwise.
a. If you read the 10.1.3 Release Notes Safari 5.1.x is now supported.
http://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/attachments/Acrobat_Reader_ReleaseNote_10.1.3.pdf
10.1.3
Added support for:
• Firefox 10.0.x
• Apple Safari 5.1 (64 bit) for OSX 10.6.8, Apple Safari 5.1(32-bit and 64-bit) for OSX 10.7.x
Dropped support for:
• All versions of Firefox prior to 10.0.
2. Reboot required by the Safari 5.1.5 installation
3. Opened both Safari and Firefox and both are stable now.
Odd behavior I would agree.
*Note: You may lose some plugin functionality because when I looked in the /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ folder the only one that was there was a WebEx plug-in. Everything else got moved out of that folder. -
I am only having difficulty with hotmail when using Firefox 3.6.10. Opening hotmail is OK, and so is reading emails. The problem starts ONLY when I try to SEND a new email, or reply to an existing email. The email composition page within hotmail opens up, but then my hard drive begins to act erratic and spins non-stop. Then, a few seconds later, it crashes altogether. I restore the session, and all my windows open up normally, but another crash is inevitable because that 'send email' hotmail window is open. Presto... another immediate crash. So, obviously, I can restore a 2nd time, this time WITHOUT restoring the hotmail window, and everything seems to work fine. I have to open up a new tab for hotmail, and that appears to work fine for seeing what new is in my inbox, and even as far as reading emails. It seems to only crash when I try to SEND emails.
I had to go through about 20 different crashes before I could isolate the hotmail window as the culprit. They ALL have the same signature: coreclr.dll@0xbae82 . Of course, "Search Mozilla Support for Help" turns up absolutely nothing on the signature.
The Crash IDs are numerous. I've only listed a few of them, in the link to the right.Hi
coreclr.dll is an MS Silverlight dll.
Try de-installing silverlight & re-install Firefox
I seemed to have an older version of silverlight already on my computer, but that wouldn't uninstall.
My solution that worked for me is to use the Windows install cleanup utility: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301.
Select Silverlight from the list, and then download Silverlight again and reinstall.
And, if all else fails:
http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/uninstall.aspx. -

My usage of FF hasn't changed over the last 2-3 years (probably longer) and I often run multiple windows with multiple tabs each.
Thanks,
HadynFrom your crash report, most of them have an OOM ( (NS_ABORT_OOM)) signature attached somewhere in it which means Firefox ran out of memory and crashed. The only exception is the report that has a signature of [https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/3fdf2f42-026e-40f8-8c61-de6342140523 mozilla::WebGLTexture::DoDeferredImageInitialization(unsigned int, int)] Firefox crashes because it's out of memory seems odd because your System Memory Use Percentage doesn't seem to hit the high 90's like normal reports and hovers around 50-78%. Usually the percentage of RAM Firefox uses before it crashes is around 90-96%. Each case is different though. See the below article for some quick fixes for this.

Firefox Causes "BLUE SCREEN CRASH"
Hello There.
To my utter dismay I am forced to use Chrome to access this forum. The reason is the moment I use Firefox (3) my computer crashes and I get the dreaded windows blue screen. I have been using ff for a long time now without problems. Yesterday I updated adobe flash player, but have now uninstalled flash player in the hope that the problem is resolved. No luck. I can use my computer in normal manner without problems, but the moment I use ff it crashesI have this problem too, just installed Windows 7 Home Premium x64 two days ago. Yesterday I did a massive windows update and I believe the BSODs started after that. I've isolated it down to Firefox, partly because I had a similar problem with Vista x64 prior to the Win 7 upgrade and had removed Firefox from the machine completely w/o giving it too much thought.
Last night I found a way that 100% crashes windows within 5 mins, 5 times in a row, open firefox, open certain tabs and just wait. BSOD.
Note I also use Thunderbird but that doesn't seam to crash windows.
I found two separate threads on other forums suggesting this might have something to do with fonts. Not sure why Firefox is the only application suffering from it though. So from another thread following steps were suggested that are shown below, I haven't tried these. Another user on a different forum suggested running windows repair and through that somehow fixing the fonts. I'll report later if this issue helps solve the problem.
1. this may seem random, but might be worth a shot... i think this problem
often occurs because of registry errors with the fonts... this solution fixes
that. if you browse to windows/fonts and immediately get a blue screen, then
the fonts are your problem
2. first try going to control panel > fonts >font settings (on left) > restore
default fonts
3. if you can't access fonts in the control panel then try this... in explorer go
here: \\%COMPUTERNAME%\C$\Windows\Fonts (replacing %computername% with your computername).
4. then hit ctrl+a to select all the fonts.
5. once they're all selected right click and select "install".
6. when the dialogue box pops up saying that "[such and such] font is
already installed, would you like to reinstall it?" click the box for "do this for
all current items", and hit "yes"
7. reboot (just for grins), and you should be good to go -
Media Encoder CS6 always crashes when quitting
I'm running Media Encoder CS6 (6.0.1.31) and it seems to open and a run fine but it always crashes when quitting the app and prompts to send a report.
The installer was created using AAMEE and I need to deploy this to all of our users so unfortunately a simple suggestion of "uninstall and reinstall" won't work for us. I need a solution that will work for the network deployed version we're using.
Thanks

Firefox 34 on Linux crashing constantly, with AMD GPU + Proprietary driver
Firefox 34 is constantly crashing, at random intervals. Sometimes the crash occurs as soon as the browser starts, sometimes it'll be fine for a couple of minutes, sometimes it's an hour.
I am using an AMD GPU with the proprietary driver on Linux.
Flash is disabled.
What I have tried:
Disabling hardware acceleration
Disabling all add-ons
Creating a new profile
Re-downloading the package

Every 5-20 minutes firefox stalls (not full crash)
Windows 7, 6.0.2, http://i.imgur.com/qBmF9.jpg shows addons installed. issue has existed 2-3 weeks now. Firefox "stalls" (not a crash, just blue-circle, screen goes white, not responding) for approx 20 seconds, every 5-20 minutes. Sometimes random, sometimes seems to be triggered by opening new tabs, especially many new tabs. Does not happen in chrome, haven't tried IE. I had upload ping issues with my router, fixed them, problem persists. I can switch to other programs during the stalls, only firefox slows down. Any help?
Sorry for the terse writing, I wrote this in the question box before realizing there was a details box I would be given later on.Other information - Sound will still play, such as from youtube, up to the point where the buffer ended.

Crash on quit when switching resolutions.
In case there are others out there needing to switch resolutions and have a full screen app running on the desktop with OS X 10.8 and Director 12.
I thought I would share this experience and offer a way of fixing it.
If you use BuddyAPI to change the screen resolution of your project and set the "Full Screen" option in the build settings for your projector. The projector will crash when you use the halt command.
This only happens on OS X 10.8 and you projector is built with Director 12. Director 11 will not have this problem. But as we all know custom fonts will not display properly on OS X 10.7 and 10.8 when the projector is built with Director 10, 11 or 11.5.
By the way it is also important not to use the older baSetDisplay as there will be color palette problems if you have used any art that have reduced palettes.
Rather use baSetMultiDisplay, it works like a charm.
if (the platform contains "Windows") then
isOK = baSetMultiDisplay( "primary", 800 , 600 , 32 , 60 , "temp" , 2 )
else
isOK = baSetMultiDisplay( "primary", 800 , 600 , 32 , 75 , "temp" , 2 )
end if
The fix for the crash is also with the help of BuddyAPI.
If you not set the projector options to "Full Screen" when you reset the monitor's resolution the menu bar will remain, so use BuddyAPI's baHideTaskBar(2) to get rid of it. Now it no longer crashes on Quit.
Hope this can save someone some grief.
Cheers!
Update:
I forgot to mention that now you will the menu bar will appear at the top of the window. To make it dissapear add the following code to your StartMovie script or at the end of your BuddyAPI resolution switch call:
baHideTaskBar(2)
P.S. The reason for the crash however is squarely in Adobe's court as you can see by the crash log below.

32 D&D2_stub_SP_v1_2 0x00001c58 0x1000 + 3160Thank you everyone for your comments and help. We had to push the release back two weeks for many reasons, some of them this issue.
But I thought my solution would be good to know for people. For the record I was attempting to edit at 4k with imported RED files converted to optimized media. What I didn't realize is that some of those clips were actually shot at 5 or 6k. I think that was one problem in and of itself, so I converted my projects to 1080p. Still got memory errors though.
So I think what solved the issue was when I flushed the cache by moving it outside the library. I think FCP had crashed while doing background renders from choking on some of the odd clips. I believe that corrupted some of the cache system, and wasn't fixed even when regenerating the cache files.
So I went to project settings and set the project cache to be outside of my project file in a folder I created. When doing so you are prompted to decide whether or not to move your current cache. I didn't, and this forced it to re-reender all those clips (but not the original optimized or proxy media). This seemed to clear up every problem I was having with Final Cut Running Out of Memory problems. I bet it was the cache, but could have been related to the mixed resolutions.
So I thought this might helpful to others searching this forum, and thanks again for everyone's help! -
Hi there,
Firefox has been updated on my computer on the 8th of Jan. 2012. It started crashing yesterday, until I almost could not open any site at all. It seems to crash when there are some videos. For example, I watch TV on Zattoo.com, when I go on this site, Firefox crashes all the time especially when I open other windows.
Now I would like to go back to the version 8, but I can not find this version for download. Where could I find it, or could you propose it on your web site ?
Many thanks !See:

Indesign CC crashes on quit with individual workspace
Since InDesign CC came out, I have it crashing on every quit. It seems to be connected to the workspaces: As soon as I use or create an individual workspace, the program crashes on quit.
I cannot work with the preset workspaces, as I work with 2 monitors and need to sort the palettes in an individual way.
I did a total uninstall of any former and current InDesign Version, deleting all the preferences etc. Even after a total new install, just touching the workspace (moving some tool palettes), even without opening one single InDesign file, the program keeps crashing when quitting. This is tooo annoying!
Is anybody at Adobe still alive who could work on this problem? I only see frustrated users posting in forums, but no real answer from Adobe. VERY disappointing.
My config: Mac Pro, OSX 10.8.4, 14 GB RAM, Installed Adobe Software: InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illu CC, Dreamweaver CCUpdate.
I'm embarrassed to report this, but I caused the problems I've been having myself.
In all the installs, reinstalls, fixes and scripts I've tried as I've upgraded to InD CC, there are 2 tweaks from previous versions that I felt I couldn't live without:
Running InD with the empty text file "DisableAsyncExports.txt" at the root of the program to disable background printing and PDFing; and
Equalizer.js by Marc Autret in the startup scripts folder.
I finally removed Equalizer and it seems to have resolved the crash on quit issue.
Thanks again to Peter Spier for support. Definitely a 4 star MVP. -
Adobe plug-in causing Firefox on Mac to crash?
Firefox started crashing recently on my Mac, perhaps after I recently upgraded Firefox. This morning I updated Adobe Flash, and reinstalled Firefox, but it's crashed several times since then. It seems to crash while loading pages that contain moving images.
I've tried turning off Hardware Acceleration in the preferences, but that hasn't helped.
I've gone to the same web pages with Chrome and Safari, and neither of those have crashed.
I am using Firefox 37.0.1, MacOS 10.8.5, and Adobe Flash Player 17.0.0.134.
I opened a new tab in Firefox and typed "about: crashes", and will paste the five most recent crash report ID numbers below.
