Can't open my email or firefox...went through dialogue and received crash report...now what??? HELP!!

I downgraded flash to 10.3 and it fixed the problem. Everything works fine now. I suggest everyone do this until Adobe releases a fix for 11.7.

Firefox crashes when I try to search for something using the Google or MSN search engines, but not with other search engines. What causes this and how can i fix this?

I got the same issue to and crashes in the same exact manner. Been using IE in the mean time, thought it was just me. I tried reinstalling Firefox and everything, even rolled back windows.

Updated to Firefox 4.0.1 5/21/11 on Windows 7 (64 bit) system. All worked until yesterday. Now Firefox crashes immediately when I try to launch it. Crash report gives reason as "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ". What is happening and how can I fix it??

I managed to fix this issue myself..I can access the home page as normal.
This is what fixed the issue.
Step 1 : Un-installed Oracle XE while logged in to the domain. ( Made sure it cleaned all installation files and registry and env variables by cross checking registry as mentioned here .
Step 2 : Logged in as admin on the local machine ( not domain ) and reinstalled it. Now it works just fine. (Closed all programs - didn’t open any programs..just ran Oracle installation )
I did install oracle xe logged in as a domain user before ( and my domain is user is part of local administrators) and it all worked just fine. May be it’s a permissions issue ( though I ran oracle installation as admin ) or host name change issue.
Phew..anyhow..finally it works!!

hello davidrusso71, press windows-key+R on your computer and open ''%appdata%\Mozilla\'' - an explorer window should come up, in there rename the folder labelled "Firefox" to something like oldFirefox. on the next start of firefox this should lead to a new profile being created...

Firefox4 freezes on startup after about 10 seconds. A second parallel instance of firefox works normally as long as the first instance is left alone frozen. What causes this and how can it be prevented?

I am running firefox4 on win XP. When I start firefox, it says it is trying to restore a previous session which has only the blank tab. After about 10 seconds the whole instance of firefox freezes - none of the buttons work and the only way to close firefox is to use the Ctrl+Alt+Del and task manager. If I open a second parallel sessionof firefox, it works normally, as long as the first session is left alone (frozen). What could be causing the freeze up of the first firefox instance, and how can it be prevented?

I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.

Firefox always shuts down/crashes when I am trying to print something. Why is this and how do I fix it? Went back to old version so I can print things, btw it is all printing in any website including emails.

Does not matter what website, email or pop-up and try to print something. After you click okay on the print pop-up window it shuts down. The old version does not do that, so this tells me it is Version 4 that is the problem.

No matter what website I am on all of a sudden the page will be covered in black and white lines and I can't see any of the page. What is happening and how do I fix it? It has only started since I loaded Firefox 4 this week.

I am very frustrated because I keep having my pages become covered completely in black and white lines. It has even happened on this page when I tried to use the drop down arrow by 'this happened'. I can sometimes read the page if I click over the area I want to read but this is not common. This has only been happening since I downloaded Firefox 4. CTRL+H and CTRL+B have stopped working for Firefox. Every other CTRL command works. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Whenever I want to open my history (CTRL+H) or my bookmarks (CTRL+B), I use those commands. They've always worked. Yesterday, they mysteriously stopped working. Every other CTRL+KEY command still works flawlessly.

When I open my Mozilla brower it opens up on the Mozilla Firefox Start Page but when I open a new tab it opens using Babylon search. This is something that has only just started happening and I don't like it and I don't want it on my machine. what can I do to get rid of it and revert back to all tabs opening with Mozilla?

when i click a genuine site, avast blocks this with html.script.inf.
when i browse the firefox history, the exact site is not known, but the message ends in firefox.exe, which is shown as script.inf. I am using the latest firefox with all necessary updates.
