Firefox 5 doesn't print properly

When I used Firefox 3.5, it printed properly.
I upgraded to Firefox 4, and printing had extra spaces between each letter, making the printout unreadable.
Today I upgraded to Firefox 5, and found the problem has yet to be fixed.
I am using Windows XP SP3. This issue occurs with multiple computers, multiple printers, and with multiple profiles, including a new profile with no add-ons.
This seems to similar or identical to bug 635768, which is marked as fixed. There are some additional comments that suggest that others are having issues too.
Is there any way to reopen this bug, given that it is still occurring for me in Firefox 5? Should I submit a new bug report?

Firefox doesn't print Flash apps

I can't get Firefox to print Flash applications. IE and Opera
do it fine, but not FF. Just blank white space. I've found lots of
posts throughout the internet where others have had the same
problems, but NO solutions. Is there any way to fix this???

Helvetica doesn't print properly with PDF9 PDD

Hi
i have an InDesign document with several equations made with MathMagic, the document was originally created in CS3 on os 10.4, we recently updated to CS5 on 10.6 and when i make a postscript using our usual Acrobat PDF9 PDD, it does not distill properly, random letters and number appear as rectangles.
But when i use one of our printer PDD it distill fine, no rectangle whatsoever.
Any ideas why the PDF PDD does not process Helvetica properly?
I tried embedding fonts in the distiller profile but it doesn't seem to save it? when i reopen the profile,it doesn't list any embedded fonts

i tried embedding the font but the profile does not see to save properly...when i reopen it (edit profile) to check the font tab, the fonts i put in the "always embed" disappear..
i tried exporting to PDF and it worked wonders, it even repaired another bug with accentuated letters that we had,
we used to keep the postscript because there's a lot of departement working with our files and they all need differents settings, so instead of exporting it multiple times we let them distill it with the profile they wanted, not everybody have InDesign on their computer.
but if it works that way, i'll just try convince our department to export it, they can't say no to something that works right?

Firefox does not print properly a web page having a SWF on it

I have been desperately looking everywhere on the
web to solve this issue and this is actually the first time I ask a
question in a forum, because I can always find my answers by
Googling them.
This is fairly easy to explain, but this is a really annoying
issue.
I got the latest version of Firefox and the latest Flash
Player version. If I print out web pages having SWFs on them, they
do not show either on the print preview, then on the print out
itself. How could this happen? Using Microsoft Internet Explorer, I
have no problem whatsoever to have everything printed out in the
same context.
Is there actually a way to bypass that Firefox problem?

Does anyone know if this issue is being addressed by Adobe?
We have a Flash vector drawing app, utilizing XML, which was developed in '06. It works incredibly well, even though it was developed in AS2. However, we need the resulting images to be able to print within the page. It works fine for IE, but no dice for Safari and Firefox.
One work-around we've built in (essentially creating a rasterized image) slows down our system and has been causing our subscription rates to drop.
We are now looking at rebuilding this thing, but it is going to be expensive, time consuming and frustrating in order to deal with only a small segment of our users.
Would love to hear if Adobe is going to address this issue - has anyone heard anything or know of another fix out there?

Firefox doesn't print long preformated text

with firefox, and print it, also i do first PRINT PREVIEW, the zones with code (preformated text), are printed only up to 1 page, if the zone is longer than 1 page, it is not printed. with IE i can print complete the same page

Firefox doesn't work properly

I have a problem with several different pages and while googling something. For example, when I open YouTube the page loads but I can't open any videos or anything else. I can click on them but nothing happens, but if I write the address of a video in address bar it opens normally and I can watch it. This happens on most of the pages I visit. Like Gmail or Facebook, I write my email address and password but nothing happens when I press login or Enter on keyboard.
When I google something I can't open some page I want in another tab by pressing the scroll wheel or by holding Ctrl and clicking on it and also nothing opens when I press the right mouse button on it.
I've tried updating Firefox, uninstalling it and then installing it again, and I can't update any plugins because when I click update, again, nothing happens...
I've installed Chrome and everything works fine there but I don't like Chrome I want to use Mozilla.

Firefox doesn't exit properly. Please put a button on your error message to close it. I'm tired of having to remove and restart.

This seems to be a recurring problem with many of us. Every day I have to force an exit to Firefox (3.612) and restart it. None of the suggestions made for fixing it help (extensions etc). How about taking that error message and putting a button on it that stops Firefox and restarts it? Click and done. If we can't fix it, work around!

File pdf-reference.pdf doesn't print properly - only cover page

When I try to print the standard pdf reference from the Acrobat 8.0 SDK samples in all.sln in Visual Studio, only the cover page prints. Further, the sample javascript object program only says there is one page. The file consists of the cover page, and four embedded pdf files, totaling 1500 + pages. How do you make the samples print out the cover page, and then extract and print the embedded parts of the file?

The java object sample should say "this file has 4 sub-files and totals 1500 pages", etc.
What is the problem here?

I don't know if there is a sample showing you how to do this - but it's pretty easy.
Look at the documentation for the Data Object in the SDK JavaScript docs.

Firefox doesn't download properly

When I download a file it says it has downloaded it correctly, but there's just a ".part" file on my desktop, like it didn't finish downloading. Can someone help me please? Thanks

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is otherwise interfering with downloading files.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

PDF/X1a with a logo containing a colorized grayscale tiff not printing properly

I have a 3 color logo: black, PMS 200U, and PMS 1955U. The logo was built in Illustrator and I have placed grayscale tiff ontop of it. The grayscale tiff is a stipple (dots) effect that I colorized to PMS 1955U in Illustrator, masked it out on top of the logo, and set it to multiply. Within Illustrator, the separations look good and it prints fine when printing directly out of illustrator.
The problem is when I export it to a PDF/x1a and try to print it, it doesn't print properly. Printing from acrobat, it only previews and prints the PMS 1955U stipple and black. The flat PMS 200U under the tiff doesn't print. I've tried bitmapping the photoshop file and making the stipple monochromatic and still doesn't seem to work when exporting to a PDF and printing.
Funny thing is, when I do the whole process for the CMYK logo (not PMS), it all prints out fine as a PDF/x1a.
Any ideas on how to get the logo to export and print properly?

Press quality uses PDF version 1.4 which supports transparency while PDF/X-1a uses PDF version 1.3 which requires transparency to be flattened.
For your issue, try enable Overprint Preview in Acrobat preferences and see you are getting the expected results, use Output Preview panel in Acrobat to turn off individual plate to see if your missing PMS 200U is listed and flat color appears.

Bug? firefox doesn't load clips!

Hi everybody...
I have this terrible problem...
I'm developing a site entirely made with flash (customer's
request...), and I rely on flash's ability to loadClips (movies)...
It already works on Internet Explorer, Opera, and other
browsers, but with firefox... it is like it doesn't even send the
request to the server to load the clip, since I put some listeners,
and the onLoadStart() isn't called...
I'm using the MovieClipLoader object to make the loadings...
so... does anyone have any idea on what's going on? any solution?

Why doesn't firefox have a "print" button in the tool bar and why can't I add attachments to my emails MOST of the time. It only works rarely?? Frustrating!

I cannot find an add on as a print button for the firefox toolbar. Almost every time I want to print, I have to copy and then open a document and paste it there to be able to print it.
Also, each time I want to add an attachment to an email, it rarely lets me. I have to open internet explorer and go through my email that way to be able to add attachments.

Considering that Firefox doesn't do email, that problem is probably caused by your webmail portal software not being totally compatible with Firefox. If you tell which webmail service you use maybe another user who is familiar with that service can help you.

Firefox from version 3.6 to 11 beta doesn't work properly with gmail

Gmail doesn't work properly with any version of firefox from 3.6 to 11. I have tried several newer versions of firefox and they ALL DO NOT WORK PROPERLY with GMAIL!!!!!! THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING & ANNOYING!! I can't click on any links or it just keeps saying LOADING when I try to delete a message or even go into the gmail settings.

The external DVD/CD Writer will Not appear on your desktop when you attach it to your iMac. It will appear in "Finder", which is in your Dock.
