Firefox 6.0.2 keeps locking up on us.

It locks up approximately every 10-15 minutes, and will stay locked up for about 20-30 seconds each time. It says "not responding". It only happened once we got to 6.0. We tried rolling back to 5.0 with no luck. What's going on? We looked online, and saw that it was a common issue. We were just wondering if there is something we need to do to fix it or if it'll be resolved in an upcoming update. Also, it is not site specific....it even froze while I was typing this.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Firefox 4.0 keeps locking up and is slow to load pages

I just installed 4.0 this morning. Ever since, Hotmail is extremely slow to load, it keeps locking up or not responding.
I thought this was supposed to be faster and more streamlined?
Now, when I try to go back and install 3.6.13 it is no longer available. What gives? I want my old Firefox back.

Aurora keeps locking up and constantly. 7, 8, up to 9.02. i mean it locks up over 20 times a nite. one after another.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
You can try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

My mac keeps locking up it s Power mac G5 Intel using 10.6.8 OS.X. I get no warning or error messages it just locks up and the only way to get it to work again is to depress power button and restart. Its random intermittent and incredibly frustrating. I do get some screen distortion from time to time and wondered whether it may be a graphics card issue or whether it could be solved with a complete system re-install and OS upgrade?

According to everymac.com, your Mac came with Tiger, 10.4.x and can't go any higher than Lion, 10.7.x.
It would have come with gray, machine specific disks. Since there's no reason to install 10.4.x first, and then Snow Leopard over that, just purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard for $20. What you won't get with the retail version of SL is the iLife suite (Garage Band, iDVD, etc.) that were on the original bundled disks, but you can purchase iLife on Amazon pretty cheap, and get newer versions besides.
When you get Snow Leopard, you can boot to the DVD, erase the drive and install everything clean. Hopefully, you issue is only software, and not hardware related.

Thank you for trying to help. I followed your instructions, it took 6 hours to download, and then said it could not solve the problem (something to do with error 9?). It will have to go back to Apple - its only 3 days since it came out of the package and its very disappointing for him. Looks like I have to hang around in the Apple store in Plymouth all tomorrow until they can fix it, or will change it. Thanks for your help.

I am using iTunes, and trying to set up iMatch, and it keeps locking up iTunes when matching songs to the store and uploading my songs that are not in the store. 1 restore
2 reset by holding home button and off button together for like 10 seconds.
3 go to settings>>general>>auto-lock>>choose never (might work..)

Blackberry keeps locking itself

My blackberry keeps locking itself in the middle of me using it without me even pressing the lock button? its really annoying because it will lock and then i try unlock it and then it locks again and freezes and then the buttons and scrolls stop working and i dont know why its doing this?

How Many Times in a Week Will Apple Keep Locking My Account?

Twice a week Apple keeps locking my account and I have to go reset it with my old password or issue a new password. I have done both yet I can't go a week without being told I have to do it again...and again.
How do I end this loop?

Ok, Finally I switched my coding to use DAO and DTO, and I learned it through internet.
I removed all of data access codes from my jsp file(lets say 'functions.jsp'). I then created one interface and two clasess.

PDF files keeps locked in Explorer preview

When previewing a PDF in Windows Explorer (Windows 7 & 8) the background process AcroRd32.exe will run 2 times and after deselecting the pdf it takes approx 15 seconds to close AcroRd32.exe. Also the file keeps locked for 15 seconds until AcroRd32.exe will close. How can I speed this up? What I want is when deselecting the PDF in explorer, closing AcroRd32.exe instantly, just like when closing down Adobe Reader itself.
I am using 11.0.5 but this is happening in other versions too.

After update to iOS7 my iPhone 5 keeps locking up

My iPhone 5 keeps locking up after I have updated it with iOS7. I will turn it of by pressing the top button, and then later on when I try to open it nothing happens. I have to plug it in before it will restart itself. Any ideas?????? It's happened about 3 times a day for the last couple of days.

RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? But after storing the correct password you can manage any duplicate passwords in the password manager.[[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]

Multicam keeps locking up after 12 minutes of perfection!

I'm having the weirdest problem with FCP's new multicam feature which I can't figure out if its a hardware limitation or a software problem.....
I've got 3 angles captured via OfflineRT, and I'm editing as if trying to make a "live" switch of the footage. For the first 12 minutes, it worked PERFECTLY. I was shocked and excited at how smooth my little project was coming together. Each edit being made exactly where I wanted it to. Happiness seemed inevitable.
Until I reach the 12 minutes point....
After that, it keeps locking up. The program doesn't crash, but it refuses to play. I get 5 seconds of video, then the spinning beach ball for 50 seconds. No edits recorded. No nothing. It brings my system to a screeching halt until I shut down and restart, only to continue once again after I open FCP.
What the heck is going on? It was working perfectly, then just - stopped, and hasn't sense. I've lowered playback resolution to 25%, changed everything to work at the lowest rate possible - I've done everything and anything to help free up memory. Nothing works. I delete all of my previous edits off the Multicam Timeline. No go. Absolutely nothing seems to make a difference... and I don't know what the heck to do!
I'm running on a PowerBook G4 867, 1.12 Gigs of RAM. I know it's slow, but I've cut two feature films on this thing with no problems until now. I almost want to believe the hardware is just getting too old for FCP5.... but why would it work for 12 minutes then just stop?
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hey Patrick! Thanks for writing back so fast.
1. It's after 12 minutes in the timeline.... that's when all the trouble started. Of course, at this point, it won't even work at all. Stops playing at the exact same place every time.
2. Activity Monitor says only 16% of the CPU is being used by FCP, and 692 megs of RAM is being used overall. Doesn't seem to be maxxing out....
3. The file size of the project is huge.... which sort of baffles me. 9.2 megs. Features I've edited have smaller project sizes than that, with 5 times the amount of edits. What the heck is going on???
