Firefox 7.0.1 cannot find any net pages, so it does not work!

When installing Firefox 7.0.1 it cannot find any net pages, but runs and runs searching but cannot find. I had the same problem with latest versions of Firefox 6, but then Firefox 7.0 fi worked. I have tried to update 7.0.1 several times, both fi and US, I have uninstalled first 7.0 and then after restart installed 7.0.1 several times, but always the same problem. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate in Finnish.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Having installed lion i find the built in web cam does not work

After having installed lion i find the built in web cam (on my mac book pro) does not work, it maybe it just does not work anymore and it is a coincedence that i was changing the OS at the time . Safari 5 Cannot Find Any Web Pages

We have two iMacs. My wife's is model 8,1 and is running OSX 10.5.8. My iMac is model 9,1 and is running 10.6.3. Both are Core 2 Duo. We have both downloaded Safari 5. Mine is running okay, but I cannot decide if it is slower or faster.
My wife's iMac can _no longer find any web pages_.
We are connected by standard ethernet twisted pair cables to a router, which is then connected by cable to our broadband modem.
Both of our emails work fine. Also, Firefox runs fine on both of our iMacs. For the time being, until Apple has a fix for this, or someone in the forum has a suggestion, I guess we are stuck with Firefox on my wife's iMac.
Any suggestions. Very frustrating. My wife's iMac was running fine until she downloaded Safari 5.

On the iMac running v10.5.8...
Have her login to another user account and see if she can access web pages there. If she can, the problem is just in her Home Folder, not system wide.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
And try cycling off the router for several minutes then turn it back on then see if she can access the net.
Try repairing disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
If nothing above helps, install the v10.5.8 Combo Update It's ok to do this even though her Mac is already running v10.5.8.

I installed Firefox today but it will not open and the icon on the taskbar will not close and I cannot uninstall it and the helper app does not work either?

I have tried everything that I know to uninstall the new version of Firefox. I also installed Aurora beta and it had the same behavior and I was able to uninstall that. I cannot open a ff browser to work on it using much of your support information. I click on icon but it does not start on the desktop but task manager shows it as running. I have to end task in task manager to close it. I can't uninstall it and have tried system restore but that also doesn't work because of another issue with my antivirus program.

TS4268 I CANNOT find an answer to my problem. iMessage not working.

I have had my iphone 3gs for over 3 months and now my iMessage is not working. under settings it says waiting for activation, and I am outside of the 90 day free support window. the tech told me to go to the support pages and I could find the answer no problem. I can't. I have had this problem ever since I updated to iOs 6.01. can anyone help me get my imessage working again. I need it so I can send messages over wifi since my phone is not activated right now to use over cellular networks.

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755 shows the requirements for iMessage to work. On an iPhone you do need an SMS plan for it to work. It likely will never activate because you do not have it activated on a cellular plan.

Do you have AVG Safe Search installed? It blocks use of the Enter key after typing in a search string.
Disable it by clicking the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Extensions. You should be able to find it in there.

I still can't get it to run the exe. I have watched the process list while running this and the exe doesn't show up. I tried cfexecute on the exe directly before trying the bat method, with hard coded arguments, and it still didn't work. I am so lost right now this makes no sense to me.

When I download the updated version of flashplayer to my new updated firefox, flashplayer will say it has successfully installed, but it still does not work?

When I go back to look at something (movie, song, etc.), Firefox again tells me that I need to update the latest flashplayer in which I have already done. Find in files, Go to location. does not work

We are using the Oracle Dev tools for VS 2008. We have a oracle database project with lots of procs, functions queries.. When we search for some text using find in files, we get a bunch of results found.
When we click on any item in the find results window, we are unable to navigate to the file in the project. We are seeing a message 'The system can not find the file specified.'
Appreciate any help to fix the annoyance with Oracle dev tools

No Finder and renaming the "DivXNetworks" folder does not work. What now??

I just upgraded to 10.5 on my MacBook and I am having the same finder issues discussed in the following thread:

But when I try the suggested solution, I am being told that I do not have the DivXNetworks folder.
Does anyone have another solution to get finder to work?

The Keyboard Viewer may help you determine what key-faces also may double as something else, as you can choose to shift their purpose through use of the fn key. In the keyboard & mouse system preference panel you can choose to view this in the top of the main finder desktop menu bar. With options. You also may choose to assign a key to a different function or symbol.
However I see my MacBook has a key which sports both + and = on the same keyface.

In the "About Firefox" window, the "Restart to Update" button is always shown, but does not work.

If i press it it will restart Firefox, but will not have updated it. I always have to manually upgrade Firefox, but even then About Firefox screen says Restart to Update

I had this same problem and discovered today that the reason is because I do not often log on as Administrator and it appears Firefox won't update from my non-administrator ID. (I have a separate Administrator account set up on my computer so I don't inadvertently do something terrible.)
When I logged on as Administrator and went to Firefox>Help>About Firefox (for me, 16.0.0.2), it had already started updating itself to 17.whatever. Restart to Update appeared again, and when I clicked it, Firefox updated itself to 18.0.1 and now shows a Check for Updates button, which returns that Firefox is up-to-date.
I hope this helps some of you.

These instructions from the iTunes Help menu, should answer your question:
Delete an item from your library
Click the item to select it, and press the Delete key.
Click Delete Item.
Do one of the following:
Remove the item only from your iTunes library: Click Keep File.
Delete the item from your computer: Click Move to Trash. The item is removed the next time you empty the Trash.
I believe you meant to Control click which is the same as a right click on your mouse, to get a list of commands. That also works.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
