I changed the setting, but unfortunately, this didn't fix the problem. This situation does seem to occur more, when I load or reload my eBay home page. I noticed that all data and information would go ahead and load, but the random ads bar would not immediately load and when I would left click anywhere on the page, Firefox would temporarily freeze, the page turns white, Firefox not responding will display, and then the banner would load and everything is fine. I'm wondering if it has something to do with my Flash Player. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Reggie

Firefox hangs nearly every time I am working in Blackboard.
I teach on line using Blackboard. Since installing Wndows 7 Firefox hangs nearly every time I am working in Blackboard...and this is every day. Firefox doesn't hang on my home desktop using Vista 64. I have all the latest Java updates and have continually queried Blackboard for a solution with no result.
Could you describe the new window in more detail? For example, is it an ad for something, or a login page, etc.
Since this occurs so regularly, I think it would make sense to try browsing for an hour in Firefox's Safe Mode to see whether that makes any difference. This will temporarily disable your extensions, which are the type of add-on most likely to cause mischief.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still work)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Firefox 4 .0.1 hangs all the time. Has to be Force Killed
Firefox hangs almost every time I run it on my Mac Laptop running Mac OS X 10.6.7. I have to force kill it every time. I have disabled all add-ons and also switched from 64bits to 32bits but the problem has not gone away. I am using Safari more and more and I don't want to do that.

I want to know how to have my tabs save when I close Firefox. I did what was suggested in the FAQs section, but all my tabs disappear every time I close Firefox, whether using the "exit" command, or the "X" button. This was the very reason I never updated to the new version previously, but had hoped that the problem had been addressed and upgraded, now I'm stuck with having to reopen every tab every time I open Firefox. ITunes will not open - hangs up every time
I am running os x 10.8.5, on a mac book pro 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo.
iTunes will NOT open and run. It starts up, then hangs, nonresponsive, every single time.

Lately Firefox does not load on my Vista--especially since update 18 happened. It shows that Firefox is running in the task manager but the page doesn't come up. This is every time I try to start the browser.
It runs once I can get it to come up--but it never ever comes up the first time without going into task manager and finding the file it is in and starting it there as "administrator". This is very very annoying--before I uninstall and change browser back to Chrome which has its own issues--perhaps you can enlighten me as to how to fix this problem--it needs a patch? Don't tell me to dump history cookies etc. This I have already tried and it doesn't do anything--the problem persists. Any solutions for me? Thanks
LrI have 5 different Win7 64-bit installations. As soon as i upgraded to FF18...EVERY single systems browser experience slows to a crawl. CPU and memory spike beyond control. In fact I have to use Chrome to browse. This is so incredibly unacceptable. My entire family is soooo frustrated. They have reverted to IE, and i provided each device with a fresh install of Chrome, no issues whatsoever.
As for suggestions here, I have no intention of following any of these lame instructions to check anti-virus, video card switching, or resetting FF to defaults which will cause loss of some of the personalization.
Its a bloody shame. Farewell FF. Enjoy your poorly QA'ed release....!!!

Downloaded mackeeper, trying to delete but dragging to trash isn't working....
