Firefox 7.0.1 is preventing page from automatically reloading

I have been trying to upload a video to my Facebook account. Every 2 seconds it tells me that Firefox is preventing the page from automatically reloading.
I Googled this problem and others seem to have located a place where you can uncheck the box that causes this to happen, but in the new version I cannot find it.
I need to do this today! so help would be appreciated.

That site doesn't send a required intermediate certificate to link to a build-in root certificate.

You can find that missing certificate on this website as "Secondary EV SSL Intermediate CA Certificate" (second cert.) and save it in a text file VeriSignC3-EV.cer and import that file in the Firefox Certificate Manager.

I wish that there were a way to allow only certain site to automatically reload. It's annoying to know that now, in order to have the one site I want to be able to reload allowed to do so, I have to allow all sites. But clicking the "allow" doesn't help -- it's a dynamic page for a radio station, and clicking "allow" doesn't even last a second before I get the message again. Going to the Advanced Options tab and allowing it from there is not very satisfactory. I will have to remember to recheck it each time I'm not using that particular site. I hope that an upgrade to firefox might eventually incorporate selective permission, as it does with the pop-ups.
Love firefox! It's still the best browser for me!

It worked for me and my "user" site (don't know how to say my site) and still having problems with my wife's. I have gone to OPTIONS → GONE TO → ADVANCE and CLICKED THE LINE → ""Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page…""
This did not rememdy the problem. I did try to get on the other site suggested

You should still disable this setting:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
What is the value of the accessibility.blockautorefresh pref on the about:config page?

Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading. How do I get trid of that? It asks me to allow every time it wants to refresh?

I constantly have the following in a bar at the top of the CNN page:
"Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading". Ii is accompanied by an "Allow" button. How do I get rid of that. I also have on every site randomly highlighted words in green that, when moused-over, has a little pop-up with a marketing ad.

As of June 25 2013 In Firefox version 22.0 the ALLOW button fails to work when presented the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading". The WORKAROUND is to UNCHECK "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page". The ALLOW button should be corrected, however.

In V33.0 how do I disable "firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading"?

When loading my home page I get the following message "firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading". Before I upgraded to V33.0 I was able to fix this issue. The answer was to uncheck the box "warn me when pages try to redirect" but I don't see this option in V33.0.

This should be in the same spot:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab > ''uncheck the box for'' "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

On Firefox 9.0.1 (OSX Lion 10.7.2) most of web page appear with a popup saying : Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading.

When I click on the icons for sites I use regularly I get an annoying message and have to click x's and "allow"s several times to get it to go away. The message is a smug "Firefox has prevented this page from automatically reloading." Who asked it to suddenly start doing that? Why?

The Idea shure was great, just the implementation is not usuable for many people as seen by the number of people that post about it... and the ones that are annoyed but don't post.
There are 2 main Problems here:
1) redirect and reload, even so they are similar in what they do, really need two seperate options. While most people will like a web application, monitoring or news site to refresh their information by reloading most people do not like to be redirected from "soundslikeadeal.com" to "drivebydownloadsandhacks.net". Allowing to reload and blocking the redirect would make a lot of sense for many users...
2) Like the option to display or not display pictures for a website, this option should be able to set on a per site setting and the Dialog "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" should not just offer the option to "Allow" for one single reload (as it does now!) but to "whitelist" as in "remember this decission" or "Always Allow reload/redirect for this Site". This would be a real Security improvement because it would allow us to by default disallow the redirection even if we need it enabled for some website that we need for our daily work!

I use firefox with my earthlink account. When the earthlink browser page loads .. and for that fact, when most pages load, a bar appears that says "Firefox Prevented this Page from Automatically Reloading." on the far right side of the bar is a Box " ALLOW" and the Red "X" Box.
When I click Allow, for about 20 to 30 seconds the bar is gone, but then slowly comes back. When I click the Red X ... it leaves and does not come back until I do something using the right mouse button or the enter key!

How to remove "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" message bar at top. It appeared at the same time I lost local news on my homepage. Neither Tools or Preferences seem to have a solution. Any suggestions?

Every time I visit CNN I get a message saying that Firefox prevented the page from automatically reloading. I want to allow this. How can I do this? Why does Firefox make this so difficult? It's just a news site...

I want to allow CNN.com and other news and weather pages as well as blogs to automatically reload. I cannot figure out how to do so. Every other browser I've ever used has a way of allowing certain "trusted" sites to reload. All I get is an icon that says "Allow" but when I click on it the message instantly reappears and the only way to get rid of it is to "X" out of it which defeats the purpose completely.

That shouldn't block refreshes. 
If that happens then check your extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Several web sites I frequent automatically reload their front page whenever they want to...not when I manually refresh...interrupting streaming videos, etc. I do not want these pages to do this, only I want the ability to manually refresh a web page.

Yes, many sites need JavaScript to be enabled to work properly. 
This site will most likely not work and in the Knowledge Base you see the content for all Firefox versions and platforms. 
So you shouldn't disable JavaScript globally, but you can do that selectively on a specific tab or based on websites.

How can I stop pages from automatic reloading, I am aware of the option in advanced, but it does not work for pages like Yahoo News and Drudge Report.

I am trying to stop pages from being able to automatically reload. Sites such as Drudge Report and now Yahoo News anre reloading before I have a chance to read them and it confuses me due to a disability besides just being annoying. I have found the option in tools-advanced-accessibility and checked it but they still reload. And I did close Firefox and restart.

The Drudge Report site has a script to reload after 3 minutes:

The Yahoo page probably has something similar.
You can try NoScript to see if you can block that refresh.

When I try to sign in to Yahoo or Flickr I get a message saying: "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" with an allow button - when I press the allow button I just get the same message again. Anyone having the same problem?

I have tried clearing the cache, allowing pop-ups from Flickr and Yahoo and all pop-ups but Firefox will not allow the sign-in page to load. Is it a virus? It doesn't seem to affect any other website, including hotmail. I have tried other browsers and they don't want to load Yahoo and Flickr either. Any suggestions gratefully received. I have Mac OS X 10.4 and Firefox 3.6.28. I keep getting this message when going to different sites. Most times the message disappears so quickly I do not have time to even click on the "allow" button. Sometimes I do click it, but still cannot get to the page! I read some other questions and answers re going to preferences, advanced, general, and clicking the third box under accessibility, regarding "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page". If I "uncheck" the box, the only thing that happens is I don't see the message any more. But it still will not load the page! Can anyone help?? Thank you!!
