Firefox 7.0 and ZoneAlarm Extreme 2011 are incompatible-how do I fix this?

I am trying to run Firefox 7.0 with ZoneAlarm Extreme 101.056.000. I contacted ZA and followed their directions: 10:24Mandy M.: Hello Freda. I am sorry for the inconvenience. What version of FireFox are you running?

1.) Click Start -> Run NOTE: If you do not have the Run option on the Start menu, you can press and hold the Windows logo key and tap the letter R .
2.) Type Msconfig in the run box
3.) Click OK
4.) Once in Msconfig, click the Startup Tab, and remove the checks from everything.
5.) Click the Service Tab, place a check in "Hide All Microsoft Services." Now remove checks from everything.
6.) Click OK
7.) Restart your computer
8.) SAVE the ZoneAlarm clean tool from the link below: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/support/download/clean.exe
9.) When the download box pops up, choose SAVE. In the next box, choose Save to Desktop then run the file from there and follow the on screen prompts to complete the uninstall. Be sure to restart your computer if prompted.
10.) Clear your Windows temporary file cache by following the steps below: - Go to Start ->

I have done this several times with Firefox 7.0 loaded and without it loaded on my PC. I still cannot use Firefox and now my ZA tells me that my computer is at risk because my anti-virus/anti-spywareise not activated. However, everytime I click to turn them on, they immediately go off and the ZA update function does not work, it gives me an error message when I try to use it. Oh yes, I also cannot use internet links are are in eamils. Needless to say, I am totally frustrated with the whole process. Can you help me with this.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
