Firefox 8.0 with Lastpass 1.80 crashes when E-bay list is loaded

When I search e-bay it always crashes about 2 seconds after I load a list of auctions/products. It appears to be a conflict with the lastpass 1.80 add-on because when I disable this add-on it does not happen. The earlier lastpass (1.75) will not work with firefox 8.0.

You seem to have narrowed the problem down to Last Pass, which is why I recommended their support form. If they know about an issue with their add-on at eBay, they would know if there is a fix for it. If they aren't aware that their add-on is causing Firefox to crash at eBay, they need to be aware of the problem.
There were some security fixes made for 8.0 that caused a huge number of crashes for many Roboform users upon startup of Firefox 8.0 over the 6 weeks that 8.0 was the current version, Mozilla ended up blocklisting older version of the Roboform add-on - after Roboform released a number of updated add-on versions to fix a variety different issues.
I haven't seen any other postings about problems with Last Pass causing Firefox 8 or 9 to crash. Being that Last Pass and Roboform are similar applications and hook into Firefox in similar ways, it's reasonable to assume that Last Pass may have a similar fault like Roboform had until they fixed it.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work quit the Facebook app. Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then delete the Facebook app and download it again.

Firefox cannot be started today, it keeps crashing when start it. I've tried start in safety mode, uninstall and reinstall.

ITunes 10.5.3 crashes when an ePub file is loaded onto an iPad

I just updated iTunes to 10.5.3 (on two Macs). Both are running the latest Snow Leopard.
Now, on either system, when I attach an iDevice (iPad-1st Gen.) and drop an ePub file onto it, via the newly-updated iTunes, iTunes crashes.
This is happening with ePubs that I produce (this is how I test) -- yes, these are files that have passed validation. This also happens with books (ePub files) that were previously 'dropped' into the iPad just fine -- i.e., books purchased from independent book sellers. Now these ePub files are causing the same crash when I drop them onto the attached iPad. (The books already loaded onto the bookshelf do still seem to be rendering just fine.)
I have done a restart of each system -- same effect.
This has nothing to do (directly) with the new iBooks app or the new authoring tool (which I've not downloaded) - other than apparently a new iTunes (and maybe a new iOS rev.?) was issued to support the new books stuff.
This really impacts my ability to test book production so any ideas are most welcome. Thanks!

I spent time today at the Apple Store - the Genius ran diagnostics on my crash report. Here's what he concluded:
1) The connected iOS device is not set up as syncing to the Mac I connect it to. (Technically, that is correct in that I "sync" nothing through iTunes Sync, meaning I have none of those checkboxes checked. I do all file syncing manually -- that's ePubs, PDFs, music, videos, etc. So far only the dragged ePub files are crashing iTunes. I sync my calendar and contacts through Mobile Me.) The crash report indicated that iTunes is expecting to be Syncing this "official" way: files into the local Library (by purchase; by dragging) and then iTunes-managed movement to/from an iOS device. That some of us have used drag-and-drop directly onto the attached iOS device before this update and that worked is coincidence -- i.e., not the supported technique; no promises.
2) Oliver's "workaround" is close to the officially supported way - i.e., get the ePub file into the iTunes Library on the computer and then onto the iOS device.
3) Other alternatives that don't go via iTunes are: sending as email attachment to the iOS device (as I described above); use a 'cloud' server such as DropBox. These approaches don't bulk up your local Library with your ePub files.
4) Watch for iTunes 10.5.4 and when you see it, update to it. (Even tho' this isn't technically an admitted 'bug' crashing is never good and it may be corrected if enough crash reports are sent to Apple.)

Firefox browser continues to hang and sometimes crashes when trying to load more than 10 bookmarks in tabs. Please help with my request as I would like to choose which tabs will load webpages and have all others stopped.

I have thousands of favorites and Firefox is my web-browser of choice. Sadly I'm backed up on what bookmarks I have stored and if the websites are still active or not.

My PC supports Windows 7 OS which I have as a multiboot alternative when my PC starts up.
I have continually waited and it says Firefox is not responding and I may be able to see the multiple tabs opened in my browser but cannot navigate or access them.
I have read on various sites that users have had as many as 1500 bookmarks load at once in tabs in the Firefox browser version that are outdated.
I have not been successful with just loading 50 bookmarks my goal is to be able to have 500 tabs loaded in firefox with webpage loading stopped on all of them. I will choose reload for about 10 tabs at a time to view webpage content and then close and move on to the rest.
My ultimate goal is to clear up the Thousands of bookmarks I have piling on for the past 6 years and some are duplicates or similar page sites.
Their is no Firefox 3rd party addons that I could locate that would allow this. Only to restrict the number of tabs loaded by giving warning messages when limit is reached.
Please assist me as it will greatly help me with finally deleting and re-organizing my Favorite and frequent websites in my Browser of choice Firefox.

Firebug is notorious for causing problems like you described.
Disable it when you don't need it or install it in a 2nd Profile. Then you can launch the 2nd Profile separately to use Firebug and not affect what you are doing in the 1st Profile,

I just recently updated to firefox 15 and almost every 5mins it crashes. when I open a new browser all i get is a blank white screen. Is there a way to fix this

After installing Mozilla Firefox 20.0 with Adobe Flash Player 11.6, YouTube videos won't load properly.

YouTube videos worked fine before installing Adobe Flash Player. When installed the screen flickers after one second, rewinds to the beginning, then plays normally. This doesn't occur when I use Internet Explorer. I have reinstalled both Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player many times but nothing seems to work . Downgrading Adobe Flash Player didn't work either. It seems like Firefox is the problem but I'm not completely sure.

Thanks a lot "cor-el". I also suffered from the above issue. And after I disabled the protected mode by editing "mms.cfg" file the issue got resolved. Now flash player is working fine.

Reader opens a new window with same file and crashes when trying to print

the wierd thing is that I have two Dell systems printing to the same HP 4015 printer, though when the other one prints there is no problem, and when printing to another printer the same error occurs, any other documents are fine. we've tried the drivers but since the error happens with other printers I don't think its a issue with the drivers or the printers. I did a quick search and found similar issue, though none with any results, if I've posted in the wrong area please point me in the right direction. any assistance would be greatly appricated.

if it will be of assistance to any one, the resolution to the issue came when the profile was deleted and then recreated. we came to this conculsion when we created a new user proifile and tried to re create the issue. while not technically a direct fix the issue was resolved. its a hell of a lot better than some of the other resolutions online.

Cs apps crash when opening font list on my new macbook retina

I was eager to start working on my new retina display macbook, especially after my last macbook was stollen (sniff) but when i tried opening my fonts and scrolling throught the list, both photoshop and illustrator just stopped dead and crashed. I reinstalled my whole cs, but (oh no) it happened again. My husband emptied my font cache and un-checked the preview option in my illustator preferences, and now it's working but takes a few seconds to think about it, it also warns me when openning a file that there is not enough memory to open my file (i close the message and open it again, it works). Does anyone here know what's going on and why it's happening or even better - is there a way to fix it? if you do, please keep your answer at about a 6 year's old understanding level of computers since that's about my level of understanding

You eitehr have too many fonts overall or a crappy "bad" font such as some freeware fonts and it messes with your font handling. Likewise, incompatible font manager software may cause such issues..

IE crashes when editing a list view in datasheet view

Using MOSS 2007;
We have a list which crashes browser (IE 8) when the list is edited in datasheet view. I've figured out that a Multi-line text field is causing this issue. I've created a view
without this field and the edit in datasheet is working fine. This is not a permission issue for sure. Anybody
have any idea, please advice.

- This issue is in only one user's machine, others are able to edit without any issue.

Thanks Vijay for your suggestion. So finally I got the user to try your suggestion and unfortunately the issue still persists.
One strange thing we noticed is - this issue is with only one list - apparently user can use the Datasheet view for other lists. Now it's not a list specific issue as another affected user can use this DataSheet view from another computer and I can't reproduce
this issue from my computer even though I've two different versions of the 'STSList.dll'.
Any other suggestion?
Here is what we tried so far without success:
We found roughly 11 of the 'STSList.dll' in his C drive - out of those 2 were in Program Files folder. Since
the user has Office 2010 and Designer 2007 installed, we moved the DLL from the Office12 folder to test. this did not fix the issue.
Ran repair Office Program from Control Panel - no luck
Deleted the registry entry "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{65BCBEE4-7728-41A0-97BE-14E1CAE36AAE}" as per this

Tried running IE in 8 mode and 9 Compatibility mode..no luck
Affected computers's Office version - Office Prof Plus 2010 (64 bit), IE 9 and Window 7

Router Crashing when ATM Interface under Heavier Load

Hi all,
Looking for a little guidance before I engage TAC (AKA, waiting for maintenance contract purchase approval). I have a 3945 router running IOS 15.1.2T5 with an ATM interface card and adapter. It is currently configured with a 30Mbps PVC. As it reaches about 20 to 21Mbps and 14000 packets per second, I start to see output drops on the interface, which I had previously attributed to a combination of ATM overhead + volume of traffic being pushed through it. About half of the traffic that passes through is VoIP, so it is a lot of smaller packets, which hurts on ATM overhead, if I recall correctly. Starting yesterday, though, the circuit peaked at 23Mbps and 17000 packets per second. About 5 minutes, later, the router crashed and rebooted itself. Crash info reports the following:

Unless you really need your particular IOS version, like Leo, I too would recommend moving to a mainline recommended release that suites your needs.
PS:
It's likely you're correct that you're seeing drops before you hit your ATM "bandwidth" cap. The ATM cell "tax" is a 5 byte header in each 53 byte cell and, if doing IP, there's cell padding (packets will sized up to the next multiple of 48).
For example, a 97 byte payload would consume 159 bytes (about 39% overhead).
