Firefox add on Acrobat Create PDF 1.2

Firefox 29 broke Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.2 add-on. What is the fix for this?

Hi mjburns,
Please refer the KB for pdfmaker capable browser versions : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html
The Adobe Reader 10.1.5 and later plug-in don't function in the Mozilla Firefox 19 and later.

  • Remove unwanted Adobe Acrobat Create PDF Add-on

I just can't believe Mozilla allows this!
I installed Acrobat XI Pro for Mac and without my permission Adobe installed a Firefox add-on called "Create PDF". I can't uninstall, remove or delete it. I can only disable it. It's the only add-on that has no remove button. How can this be?
I also can't find the extension itself, in order to delete it. I tried everything, but the damn thing just can't be deleted.
I'm very disturbed that something like this is possible! Is Adobe paying Mozilla?

Unlike with Extensions and Themes (complete) the Plugins like Java, Flash player and other Adobe examples and such are not actually installed in Firefox but are on system. Firefox just scans and found compatible Plugins and is making use of them. This explains why there is no Remove button and only Activate/Deactivate which tells Firefox to make use of that Plugin on system or not.
See in '''about:plugins''' where they are located.

I believe you people have never heard of the term "Backward Compatibility" .U people will loose your customer/support base if every new version doesn't support some existing stuff.

    '''Problem Solved FINALLY !'''
    Solution:
I just updated my '''Adobe Acrobat X Pro''' to '''Version 10.1.0'''.By the way, I have to complain, Adobe is really slow in solving this problem...
Here is the official link for the Adobe Acrobat update.[http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5135 <click me!>http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5135<click me!>]
After update, the extention changed from "Adobe Acrobat -Create PDF 1.0" into "Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.1". And the '''"Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.1" is compatiable with the firefox 4.0.1'''. A screenshot is attached as a proof.

I have the same problem for a couple of months, and I had to use a plug-in in Firefox to print a web page. I really need the web page address in the footer for reference purposes which Chrome print (Ctrl+P) does not produce.
The error message is: A supported version of Acrobat could not be found. Please install or update Acrobat to 11.0.9 or higher."
After updating to Acrobat 11.0.10 and repairing the installation the problem did not go away.
Deleting and re-installing the extension did not help either.

  • How to Enable IE 10 add-ons to create PDFs?

I have IE 10 64 bit on Windows 8 64bit. I have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
In the Manage Add-ons area of IE 10 three add-ons for "Adobe Acrobat Create PDF" for the Helper, for Selection, and Toolbar. which are labelled as disabled. They are marked to 32 bit and 64bit architecture but when I right click on any of the three add-ons the Enable and Disable selections are grayed out. The more information selection reveals this.
Name:                   Adobe Acrobat Create PDF from Selection
    Publisher:              Adobe Systems, Incorporated
    Type:                   Browser Helper Object
    Architecture:           32-bit and 64-bit

    File:                   AcroIEFavClient.dll
    Folder:                 C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\WCIEActiveX\x64
How do I enable these add-ons?

    Thanks Bill,
Yes, the plug-ins are there in "Manage Add-Ons>Toolbars and Extensions."  But, when I select any of the three Add-ons for Adobe Acrobat, the view that follows has the "enabled" and "disabled" buttons grayed out. No matter how many times I select enable, the add-ons remain disabled.
I think the add-ons only work for 32 bit Internet Explorer, not the 64 bit Internet Explorer, or maybe not even for Windows 8 64 bit.

  • The Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.0 extension/Firefox extension indicates it is not compatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  Where could I obtain a more up to date extension for Acrobat X Pro 10.0?

Hi - I am running Acrobat X Pro 10.0.0 on my Windows XP Pro SP 3 (32-bit) laptop and Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  When I check the add-ons manager of Firefox I am receiving notication that the Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF 1.0 extension is incompatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.
Is it possible to obtain a more up to date Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF extension please?
    Thank you and kind regards.

Many updates to 10.0.0 are available, so this is the first thing to try. I don't know if it will help, but there are vital security fixes there too.

  • Your latest update says Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.1 will be disabled, but I must use it daily, so what am I to do?

The above question says it all. I'm currently running Firefox 6.2. Don't know what other info you need. My dilemma is simple: I can't do my work without Adobe Acrobat. You say I MUST update my version of Firefox for security reasons, but you will disable Adobe (for some indeterminate period of time). What would you do if you were me? If you want to discuss my cell is: 317-439-0915. Thanks, Bill Stanley 11/9/11

    Bill,
You can achieve the same results as with Adobe Create PDF by following this procedure:
    (1) Click on the Orange Firefox tab in the upper left Firefox user interface (or else the "Menu Bar" if you have it enabled), then "Save Page As" followed by "Web Page Complete" in the menu that will appear to save the web page and associated/linked folder of files on your desktop.
    (2) Use the mouse to right click on the firefox icon for the saved webpage on your desktop.
    (3) In the context menu that appears, choose and click on "Convert to Adobe PDF"
    (4) The process takes a few seconds, but the pdf file should then appear.
    (5) Delete the saved webpage file from your desktop. (Just deleting the main file will put the folder that's linked to it also into the trash)
Unlike using the Adobe PDF printer from Firefox, this will preserve any embedded url links that were in the web page and have them appear as clickable links in the pdf. And unlike using the create pdf option and typing the url into Adobe Acrobat itself it will work for sites such as some online encyclopedias that you have to log into to access.
Alternatively, you could just use Internet Explorer, on which Create PDF 1.1 does work - except if you're asking then you obviously prefer Firefox.
Of course it would be better if Adobe would keep up with the latest versions of Firefox, but it isn't doing that. At least the procedure, though more awkward than just being able to click on the create pdf icon on Firefox, does produce the same result from Firefox.

  • Adobe acrobat-create pdf addon not compatible for firefox 37.2

after I installed firefox 37.2, the previous adobe acrobat reader, viewer and pdf creator are suddenly unable to use. the error message is "incompatible with firefox 37.2. If so, please ask adobe whether they are able to tell me where to install the compatible addon.
I would like to know how to update such addons. Or, maybe I should downgrade my firefox version to older ones just so I can use the addon. If so, please advise how to downgrade the firefox version.
    thank you.

I can't tell what version of CreatePDF you have, but version 2.0 should still be working. I think version 1.2 stopped working a while ago.
Your Adobe Acrobat plugin has a peculiar version number, according to your More System Details, of 15.7.20033. The expected value is 11.0.10.32.
Could you investigate that further by typing or pasting '''about:plugins''' in the address bar and pressing Enter. This should load a long page listing details about your plugins. If you use the Find feature (Ctrl+f) to look for '''nppdf''' can you find an entry with that version number? Is it in an odd location? The normal location for Adobe Reader would be similar to:
    * C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll
    * C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Reader\Air\nppdf32.dll
    What do you find?

  • Mysteriously added text downloading to Acrobat Create PDF Online

Working on Acrobat.com's create an online pdf web page I
downloaded a Word Document from my pc to Acrobat.com and opened the
Word document (on Acrobat's web site) to find the document
different than the original Word document on my pc.
The Word document (as well as the pdf conversion displayed
next to it) on the Acrobat.com web page mysteriously had an added
line of text showing a previously unknown date (January 9, 2006)
inserted before the body of the original text but under the
original page header. The font also looked slightly different
throughout the body and header of the document and the document
itself was extended to 3 pages long instead of 2. In the conversion
the now added 3rd page also mysteriously included the standard
header and footer and renumbered the first two pages to include
this new 3rd page (page x of 3) in the footer.. When I went back to
the original Word document on my pc nothing was added or changed.
I downloaded another Word document with a different page
header from the same pc to the Acrobat webpage and while that
document looks graphically slightly different there was no text
    added.
It seems that there must be some sort of embedded legacy date
code or script at the beginning of the Word document that while not
visible in either the reveal codes side pane, or showing up in any
way when working or printing the document in Word is somehow
revealed in the text of the document when downloaded to the Acrobat
site even before its converted to a pdf file.
    How can I manage this?

I am using Windows XP Professional O/S and Firefox as my
browser. I get that the font options will change the file as opened
at Acrobat that may change the layout,
    but,....
how do you explain the mysterious extra date 'string' that
appeared at the start of the word document as it showed up at
    Acrobat's website?
Since this is standard out of the box Word and included fonts
(garamond 12) why does this do this.

  • Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF Chrome Extension Doesn't Work

The extension was installed when I installed Acrobat Pro XI and worked fine until Chrome was updated to version 29 or 30. The extension is enabled, the drop down works, but it doesn't do anything when you click on the drop down choices.

    Hi Ajlan Huda,
The error is encounterd when I am logged into an https (Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer) website.  To try this on your own you need to logon to an secure website.  I am assuming that you might have an amazon.com, gmail.com, facebook.com, linkedin.com, or some other secure online account that you can try this with.  It will say https in the address bar and have a green padlock indicating that secured content is displayed.  I will show the workflow attempting to convert a linkedin.com profile as an example:
I then click on the convert to Adobe PDF toolbar / extension in Chrome to convert the webpage to a PDF.
The Conversion to PDF progress pops up and looks like the progress cursor might stutter or restart a few times:
The output of the PDF shows a logon screen instead of the secure webpage content:
I also checked the "Webpage Conversion Settings" and "HTML Conversion Settings".  Changing the 'Embed Mulitmedia Content' or 'Disable Multimedia Capture' do not seem to fix the problem
Thanks for your help with looking into this, I appreciate it.

  • Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 2.0 plugin problems

    Hi..
I'm not sure if this is a FF problem or Adobe but thought I would post here anyway.
I've recently installed the latest version of Adobe Acrobat and the process involved installing the FF plugin. When I allow the plugin to be installed, it messes with the FF layout. Some other third party plugins get removed from the toolbar and have to be added again and I've also noticed changes to my bookmarks toolbar.
I had a backup of my profile saved so have been able to revert things to how they were but I would like to know if anyone else has noticed any issues when adding the plugin to FF and more importantly, how to fix them please?
    Thanks..
    Nick :)

It looks to me, the FF plugin caused some misunderstandings / commotion / contention battles)?) within the browser.
I can not comment on side effects, but note that FF21 displays PDF files in a native mode, i.e. without any need for Adobe software and/or plugins. So uninstalling the plugin should at least remove the cause for problems - which it did, as far as I can tell.

  • Chrome Create PDF Extension Doesn't Convert Secure Web-pages (Acrobat XI)

I still cannot convert secure webpages in Google Chrome using the Acrobat XI Create PDF Extension.  This is annoying when for example I checkout from a site and I want to convert my receipt to a PDF, however it simply does not work.  see other posts for details:

Re: Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF Chrome Extension Doesn't Work
Is anyone else having this problem?  Is Adobe even aware or addressing the issue?

    Hi
Thanks for reporting the issue. We are able to reproduce this issue and we have reported it to Acrobat Engineering team. Now Acrobat engineering team will investigate it.
You can try creating PDF with Firefox or Internet Explorer as a workaround.

  • Create pdf extension not working in FF and chrome.

I have the latest versions of FF 37.0.2, chrome (Version 42.0.2311.135) and acrobat 11.0.10. Chrome plug in gives an error saying use 11.0.9 version or higher and FF plug in is enabled yet it doesnt appear on the toolbar.

    Hi
    For Firefox:
    1. Please click on the below icon in Firefox and click on "Customize" option.
    2. A screen similar to this will open:
    3. If you are able to see the Acrobat - Create PDF icon here, then you can drag and drop it to the above toolbar and click on "Exit Customize".
If you are not able to see the add-on, can you please share the screenshot of the same window?
    For Chrome:
Can you please tell which Windows OS version you are using?
    Thanks

  • Firefox 22 won't open PDFs

Ever since updating Firefox/Mac to v.22, the built-in Firefox PDF viewer won't open PDFs. Any PDF link automatically downloads the file.
I've set the Applications control for PDFs to "Preview in Firefox". I've also reset the mimeTypes.rdf file, but none of this has helped. The files download to my HD. Firefox won't open PDFs on its own. I've had to resort to installing the Shubert plugin to get PDFs to display. It works, but I'd rather get Firefox's native reader to work.
Is there, perhaps, a setting under about:config that might need changed? I don't have to enable Java, do I?
    Firefox 22/Mac OSX 10.6.8
    Thanks.

If Portable Document Format (PDF) is set to "Preview in Firefox" in the Applications panel, as shown in [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer|this KB article]] for Windows (Mac OS will be similar except for your default PDF viewer application ...Preview?... and available PDF Browser plugin, Shubert's)
    And, if the issue isn't
    *a downloader add-on
*another installed add-on (I see you have the Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF extension disabled; you also have [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ PDF Viewer] extension v 0.7.1 installed and disabled. I would uninstall PDF Viewer since it's now built-in to Firefox, since Firefox 19) or
*other profile issue (you could also try [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles|creating a new Firefox profile]] for testing)
    Then:
Another possible route you could take would be to file a bug report at bugzilla.mozilla.org since your issue may be related to a change made in Firefox 22. For example, see these possibly related bugs (fixed in Firefox 22):
    *[https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=738967 Bug 738967] - pdf.js doesn't work for embedded PDFs
    * [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=855666 Bug 855666] - Firefox Nighty 22.0a1 opens blank page instead of calling the third-party PDF reader plugin
