Firefox as plan B - just in case of unsatisfying ux

We are on planning our migration from Windows to Maverick.
For several applications there is a plan B in preparation.
Just in case the given and Maverick included of current build software
does not enable satisfying productivity.
The lack of productivity will occur if customization/personalization/expendability
will be figured out.
Expendability in terms of availability of wide spectrum of downloadable extensions/add-ons.
Following features are asked
- sending a web page to file disk for purposes for later off-line viewing
- cookie management and control
- create desktop shortcut to open page
- zooming in/out/fitting to window embedded pictures
- download manager, simultaneous download of multitude of files, preselection of file types
  to be downloaded
- embedded flash, javascript, java control
- flexible, customizable tabs
- session management, save/restore browser sessions
- session recovery after browser crash
- reopen closed tabs
How well is the chance all these requirements are fulfilled by Safari?
There are mac guys advicing Firefox for reasons closed to expectations as
described above. There are also mac guys advicing Firefox to be run rather on virtual machine,
due to stability and/reliability issues.
If to take Maverick of current build which will be the best option - Firefox direct on Maverick, or Firefox on virt. machine ?

Why does that happen? There are two things happening:
1. Number of times UDF is called
2. Different results
Number of times UDF is called depends on execution plan (as you already experienced) and on function being declared as deterministic. Results depend on UDF purity (you can read about it here). So if UDF, for example, reads/writes package state or sequence nextval or reads data from a table, etc. number of times UDF is called affects UDF return value. Another word "not pure" UDF can produce different results when called from SQL if optimizer decided to use a different plan.

  • Planned Delivery time in case of Scheduling Agreement

    Hi All,
Does system consider the planned delivery time in case of Scheduling Agreement for Vendor like in normal Purchase order and requisition?
I am doing the MRP run, but system is taken planned delivery time into consideration. I have one material that is Inhouse produced material for plant X and Y Plant needs this material for further making of a finished goods.
Y plant have scheduling agreement for STO from plant X. After MRP Run required Delivery date in plant X for Material is same as plant Y. but from Plant X to Y, it take 4 days to reach. So Ideally in Plant X this delivery date should be less than 4 days as plant Y.
Please look into the issue and reply if you have some answers.
    Thanks
    Pavan

Hope you have maintained different Planned Delivery times in plant X and Plant Y as per your requirement. For procurement in Plant Y the system would consider the planned delievry time maintained in Plant Y. If you want in-house production time to be considered with Basis date sheduling during MRP run in PLant X then enter the in-house production time approprietely. Else if ou want to consider the exact routing times then consider Lead time scheduling in plant X.
If the above are maintained properly then you should get the desired result.
    Regards
    Ramanujan

Unfortunately, Safari cannot be updated past 5.1.10 on a Mac running v10.6.8.
So, the options are to upgrade to a newer OS X or use Firefox or  Chrome.

If so, you can download and install Mavericks for free from the App Store.

  • How to Change Component on a SNP Planned Order ( Just 1 time )

    Hello,
We are trying to change a component on a SNP Planned Order just 1 time.
So we do not want to change the PDS since this is one time change only.
We tried changing it in R/3. Once we do that, R/3 shows new component but APO still shows dependant demand on old component ( May be because APO SNP Planned order is still connected with the PDS ) .
Then we went to APO and tried to change the component in /sapapo/rrp3. Here you can delete the old component but doesn't let me add new component.
Next thing we tried was to convert it to PPDS Order. Once converted, we went to change mode and tried to remove old component and add new component. It lets me do this. Only issue with this route is that, it puts correct start and end dates on the order dependning on the order quantity and so order moves the dates which we do not like.
Is there any other better way to fix this issue ?.
    Thanks.
    Ketan Doshi.

This being a very unique requirement, I would use one-off approaches usually not followed. You may need to explore the use of BAPI BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CREATESNPORDER. This will help you point the source of planned order to a PPM or a PDS that you may want to create in APO system on a one-off basis. PPMs can be maintained in APO, however PDS are usually CIFed from R3. You can try to create PDS (based on the new component) in APO system only using backend tables. Try do some little research on /sapapo/curto tables to create the PDS in APO. Then use the BAPI to point the source to this new PDS. (better you also try the PPM approach since there are no issues keeping the PPM in APO)

  • I have stopped too many scripts in Firefox and I can't open any websites in Firefox anymore. I just get blank pages. What do I do now?

3 websites gave me this message:- "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete." I chose to stop the script each time. However I have stopped too many scripts in Firefox and I can't open any website in Firefox anymore. I just get blank pages. What do I do now?

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox and any leftover program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps one by one:
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu) and confirm all upcoming messages.
#Now, uninstall Firefox by following the steps mentioned in the [[Uninstall Firefox from your computer#w_uninstall-firefox|Uninstall Firefox]] article.
'''IMPORTANT:''' On Windows, the uninstaller has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Make sure that you do '''not''' check this option; otherwise all of your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, user customizations and other Firefox [[Profiles|user profile data]] will be removed from your computer.
After uninstalling Firefox on Windows, delete the "Mozilla Firefox" program folder, located by default in one of these locations:
    * '''(On 32-bit Windows)''' ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox''
    * '''(On 64-bit Windows)''' ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox''
#Go to the Windows Start menu and click on "Computer".
#In the Explorer window that opens, double click Local Disk (C:) to open the C:\ drive.
#Find the "Program Files (x86)" folder or "Program Files" folder.
#* On 32-bit Windows, double-click the '''Program Files''' folder to open it.
#* On 64-bit Windows, you will see a "Program Files (x86)" folder AND a "Program Files" folder. Open the '''Program Files (x86)''' folder.
#Look for a '''Mozilla Firefox''' folder. If you find one, right-click it and select ''Delete'' and confirm that you want to move the folder to the Recycle Bin.
Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
#Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
#Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

    word!
    second that.
This is really hard to follow, even for us who keep an eye on every update and read every single post and have an imagination of update problems out there.
You tried to make digitalpublishing.acrobat.com (the "dashboard") the one-stop place for downloading and updating all necessary tools. good idea to make this the central point, because adobe.com download sections is a pain in the arse when trying to find updates for secondary tools like the DPS.
also, make it super-duper clear what version is the current and what versio are currently available. I already wrote about lining up version numbers months ago and you seem to get this working — but it is still a mess. 1.7 vs 1.1.7 vs. 2.0 vs. drop17 vs. 11.4.2.201111104_m_670635 7.5.5.16 (you can imagine where I took the latter from)

Hi Dann, did you delete to the Recycle Bin, or did you do a more drastic permanent delete (e.g., Shift+Delete) or empty the Recycle Bin?
''If you think it might be in the Recycle Bin:''
First, make sure hidden folders are viewable. You can do that using Windows Explorer or My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Look for the radio buttons to show or not to show hidden files and folders.
Now look for C:\Documents and Settings\''username''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles or some part of that path, or your actual profile folder, which would have had a semi-random name, typically ending with default, or the bookmarkbackups folder, which is the ultimate prize.
''If it's not in the Recycle Bin:''
To recover your old Firefox settings folder (profile folder), try using a utility like Piriform's Recuva:
    http://www.piriform.com/recuva
That needs to run ASAP before deleted files are overwritten.
The folder you're looking for would have had a semi-random name, but be located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\''username''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
By default, that folder is hidden. Make sure hidden folders are viewable. You can do that using Windows Explorer or My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Look for the radio buttons to show or not to show hidden files and folders.
