Firefox asking ID and Password again and again

Hi,
I don't know what happened yesterday that Firefox is asking for id and password again and again whenever i open central admin or any other share point site.Internet Explorer and Google Chrome are working normally but Firefox is not able to open a site and
keep asking for the credentials.
I entered the same credentials which i am using on other browsers such as IE or Chrome in the format Domain\User Name.
I didn't update any thing on my machine which might have caused this issue.
Urgent help require.

Hi,
As this issue is only related to Firefox, maybe you had made some settings for the Firefox.
You can enable the auto login or remember the password.
Open "about:config" in Firefox
Accept and Continue
Search for "autologin"
Double click on the "signon.autologin.proxy" to toggle it's value ( set to true )
Firefox will cache the username and password and as long as the cached ones are correct, it won't ask you for username or password.
What’s more, you can reset the Firefox to check whether it works.

When i enter my password to install a program and click ok, nothing happens. If i click install again it just asks for my password again.

When i am trying to install or change anything that requires admin privilages i'm having trouble. A box pops up asking for my password. I enter my password and click on the "Install Software" button in this window and it vanishes. The installer does not continue however. It just sits there and if i click on the install button again it asks for my password again.
I'm on a 2008 Macbook Pro with Lion installed.

How does one stop Firefox asking to update password on secondary signin pages?

Many websites use both a user name/password and a 'secret question' for sign in. The second part usually involves entering the answer to a randomised question, like 'mother's maiden name'; 'place of birth' etc.
Whenever this happens, Firefox asks if I want to update the password it stores. Obviously I don't because it will be changing my actual password, and the answer will be different the next time anyway. This happens on every sign in and there's no way I can see to tell Firefox not to; the only options are to update or 'not now'
I still want Firefox to remember the main user name and actual password, so how do I prevent it from asking about these pseudo passwords without disabling its recording of the main login details?

I just downloaded Firefox 4. However, it is not remembering any of my passwords, even if I mark the "Remember me" box. I have to re-enter my usernames and passwords everywhere! How can I get Firefox to remember my passwords again?

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Cookies' and the 'Site Preferences'.
Make sure that you not run Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode.
In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and some features like visited links and others are disabled and not working.
You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing".

How to save password and username second time after pressing by mistake "never for this site" option when firefox asked to remember passwords for gmail for first time?

By mistake i pressed "Never for this site" when firefox first offered to remember my login details first time on gmail.com. Now how can i save my username and password for gmail.com. firefox no longer asks me to save any new login details... How can i re enable that notification to save passwords.

I play travian it has password protected accounts firefox asked to remeber password i said yes on 1 server and no on another now every time i login its good for 1 page before it kicks me back to the login screen. any idea why ?

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Can Firefox ask for a password to allow access to the internet?

I need to control access to the internet in this workplace and require a password for access. Does Firefox have any way of doing that?

Mail is constantly asking for my password.

I enter the password and tell keychain to remember it, but an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, later mail is asking for the password again. The program has worked for a number of years without problem. Then a couple of months ago this started. It is happening on all three of my systems. Anyone have any ideas?

Open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Delete your mail password.
Open the Mail app. From the menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then select the Account Information tab.
Type in your password. You should be prompted to save that to a new keychain. Click Yes when promppted.
If that doesn't help, go to the Keychain Access menu bar then click Keychain First Aid.
Click Verify then click Repair if necessary.
Try adding the password again in the Mail / Accounts Information pane.

Mail keep asking me for passwords. Like every 5 minutes

I recently, a couple of months at least, have had mail demand passwords when retrieving email. I go to preferences and put in passwords and save. 5 minutes later, it asks me for passwords again. I threw out the plist preference file and recreated all accounts inputing all passwords. Ten minutes later, it asks me for passwords, again. This is getting frustrating. I am using OS X 10.4.11 and mail 2.1.3 (753.1). I have rebuilt the directory (disk warrior), repaired permissions and fsck'ed several times. I have rebuilt the keychains and am now out of things to do. Any Help?

When you "rebuilt the keychain," did that entail selecting "keychain first aid" under the menubar in Keychain Access,or did that entail finding any and all entries related to the offending mail accounts in your keychain and deleting them outright? If you've only done one of these things, I'd try doing the other.
BTW, are you getting your mail after each manual entry of your password, or are you unable to retrieve your mail altogether? If you are not able to retrieve your mail, then I would wonder if your password, back at the server, somehow got changed?

Why did my saved passwords disappear, and now even with private browsing off I cannot get Firefox to save the passwords over again. Care to help on this????

The most recent version of Firefox just loaded onto my computer and all of my previously saved passwords are gone. To top it off I went in to the Privacy settings and turned off private browsing in order to start saving my passwords again, and it will not save, it doesn't even give me the pop up to ask if I want to save it. Care to help here? I'm way beyond angry right now, some of those passwords were rather unique and I will have a hard time recalling them exactly so not looking forward to having to reset them...

You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file.
* reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
* delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

ITunes 11.0.3 asks for password again and again, have re-done my credit card details, have changed my Apple ID password, tried to log in and out of iTunes, none of thos seem to work, just keeps happening without end, please help

I have tried to re-install iTunes 11.0.3 at least 6 times.
I have also downloaded iTunes 11.0.3 at least 5 times.
I have changed my Apple ID password.
I have downloaded (again, I've done that many times) iTunes 11.0.3, then I switched off the iMac, then restarted the wi-fi modem. Switched on the iMac, loaded iTunes, same problem.
I tried to just switch off the wi-fi, did the same as point above, same problem.
Even tried to change the system date to 2038, this only seemed (although I doubt it) to fix the "not responding" issue which I had this morning.
The Apple ID password issue, where it asks me for the password loads and loads of times (probably 50 times or more), one after the other has been happening for about 3 days now.

iTunes Problem, can't seem to find a solution online.
I am running OS X 10.8.3 on an iMac, have just loaded iTunes 11.0.3 a few days ago.
Firstly, I'd open iTunes and it would immediately say it was not responding, I'd have to force quit, try again, re-boot, try again etc. I tried re-installing iTunes, changing password, everything to no avail, then changed my date to 2038, and voila it started responding (no, don't ask me, I just read in online and was desperate enough to try it). I have not been able to get rid of this problem: Whenever I try to make a purchase it asks for my Apple ID password, dozens of times until I give up and press cancel, cancel, cancel.
Why does it do this? I don't want to purchase anything because I can't keep typing in my password again and again. I'm not exaggerating.
As I mentioned, I have tried to re-install iTunes, about 6 times, and I changed my password. I still get the same problem.
Also, my iTunes still looks like the classical iTunes and doesn't have the new interface.

My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.

Hi,i am running linux mint.I tried to change the firefox folder from the file system with a new firefox folder cause i had a problem with one extension(download statusbar).So,after that i have problem,firefox ask me about profile and after some tests about it from me,firefox always says"this profile its allready in use,make a new profile or rename one profile".I don't know anything about profiles,first time i see that i can make a profile it's now.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

At the top of the iTunes Store window, you will see who is logged into iTunes. I'm guessing from your description, that it is your husband. If it is, click on the name to display the dropdown, log him out and sign yourself back in:\
