Firefox asks for fonts everytime I open it.

Everytime I open Firefox, I get asked a bunch of questions about fonts for my external MY BOOK hard drive. It never did this before.

Mac OS X is inherently a Multi-User system, even when ther is only one User account.
Whether it asks depends on the permissions of the file in question.
If your login_id is the Owner, it will not ask.
If your login_Id is NOT the owner, then it will ask for proper authority to delete a file that does not belong to you, such as the Admin ID and password.

Firefox asks for user name and password even though the proxy auto detection

Sorry can't do anything more than offer support. We have been having this problem for months and support is clueless. Do you also have the migrating homepage issue? We can have 3 or 4 different homepage set-ups throughout the day. Between Verizon and FIOS, there isn't an employee in the corporation who cares about customer service. Since the failed email migrations dating back to Spring of 2011, we have had this login situation constantly. Our normal login count for a day is 12. We figure they are regulating traffic by having customers constantly login.

PDF is not opening in Mac Firefox, asking for save/download, I want to open it inside browser

Im facing an issue with Mac Firefox, when Im trying to open pdf file in FF for Mac, its asking for download/save rather than opening up inside browser window like other browsers do.

Mac Mail no longer asks for a password when opening gmail

When I try and open my email account the password box no longer pops up.Don't know what happened.I use gmail and it always worked fine.Can anyone help me with this?Thank you very much.All reponses are apreciated.

In Mail Preferences, Accounts item: I tried to delete the password (but that did not save). I got this idea from some Mail Help item that I cannot seem to find again. I cannot recall how I did it in Snow Leopard, but I had it set to ask for a password that was used solely for Mail. It would not download anything until I entered that password. Note: I am not on a network; just the single user of the MacPro. Thank you for any guidance you might be able to offer.

I have seen other users talk about this and make the same claim. Unfortunately, even if you didn't set a passcode, and the iPad is insisting that you did, unless you can successfully guess what the passcode is, you still have to follow these instructions and use one of the methods in here in order to restore your iPad which will then unlock it.

Firefox look for unknown page when opened

My home page is Netscape/Aol but when I open Firefox I get this "error msg" that says Firefox cannot find /C:/Program Files/WiCenter Basic/wmd/wmd.html. I then have to click my homepage icon to bring it up. Although I use WiCenter for my printing needs, I do not know what file it is talking about or where to disable it. In any case if I have preloaded my home page why should Firefox look for anything else?

I use a Macbook myself, I also use this key to move back and forth between pages and it works perfectly fine for me.. My suggestion to you is, try running Firefox in Safe Mode and if that doesn't work try to remove cookies since you've not tried that yet.

Firefox 4 opens a new firefox window for every tab I open

Everytime i open Firefox 4, all my old saved tabs are opened in their own new window in addition to being put on my tab bar. Each new instance of the windows has all access to all the other tabs from the original window as well

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

I need that firefox ask for my credentials (I use the pc at my w) to conect to internet, but in firefox 31 this option disappear, so I can't conect to internet

I have a pc in my work place with ubuntu 14.04, when I used firefox 28 every time i tried to connect to the internet, firefox asked me for my user and password, but when firefox updated to version 31, this option dissapear, so I cann't conect to internet anymore.

Firefox asks for a master password on startup, instead of only when accessing passwords.

I have a master password set, which is asked for if I go to a site that requires a password I've set, or if I want to check my passwords.
Lately, it's started asking for the password on starting Firefox. I can enter the password, or just close the box or hit 'cancel'. Doing any of those things lets me browse, but the latter two at least result in getting the "please enter the master password for the software security device" box again and again.
I DO want a master password, but I DON'T want it to be asked for when I start browsing.

Firefox Sync also requires a Master Password to get the user name, password, and sync key from the Password Manager (Software Security device).

Can someone please tell me the default Firefox settings for Fonts and sizes (the advanced font settings, too)? I started playing around with mine and now I just want them back to normal, but there's no reset button for fonts, just the zoom features. Help!

Under "Firefox," "Preferences," and then "Fonts and Colors" there is a setting that I would like to know the default for, as well as all of those that you see when you select the "Advanced" button for Fonts.

Why is adobe reader asking for a password to open my files

I don't know why but when I try to open most (not all) of my pdf files it is now asking for a password that I did not put in so I cant open them
why and how do I change this to open all my pdf files

iam trying to open a child dash board form a parent dash board ( i have converted them in to swf files and exported them to infoview) in infoview.while iam accessing the child swf file in Infoview it is asking for logon credentials..my architecture is like
infoset->crystal reports->live office->dash board

i dont want to enter login details while accessing the child swf file in infoview.
any help is highly appreciated...

App store asks for password immediately after opening

some strange behaviour I noticed recently: the App Store-app asks for my password *immediately after I opened it* (before I clicked on any app to install it ...).
Is this a new bug?

Login to iTunes on your computer and check for available downloads. You have something waiting to download that is too big to download on your phone. Once this downloads, the prompts will stop on the phone.
