Firefox automatically updated on my home computer last week and I have not been able to log on to Firefox since. I get a crash notice immediately.

It always updates automatically but this time it seems that Firefox won't work at all now. I cannot log in to even send this to you. I had to come to work to do it so I don't have a crash ID here because I didn't know I needed it. I have only used Firefox for several years now and am upset that this update messed it all up.I used to use Thunderbird also (which I loved) but I have over 750 e-mails that can't seem to download (they downloaded from the server, but couldn't get into Thunderbird. The first message took over 10 minutes...so I don't use it either because all my messages line up after those 750. Nobody can seem to fix that either)

I just upgraded to Lion and I have not been able to successfully complete a restart. I go to apple menu, restart. The computer powers down no problem and starts but it does not open the desk top. It remains a grey screen with the spinning icon. Any help?

I have just upgraded to Lion 10.8.2. I have not been able to complete a restart. I go to the apple menu, click on restart.The computer powers down and restarts but never opens the desk top. The screen remain grey and a graphic just spins. I have left this happen for as much as 15 minutes without it openning the desk top. When I power down the computer with the power button and start again with the power button. It starts no problem.

I just downloaded the recent Maverick Software Update onto my Macbook Pro 15" and when the download/reset finished, my screen was completely black and I have not been able to get it back since. Help?

My computer had been wanting to do a software update, with what I believe was the Mavericks Software, for a few weeks but I had been putting it off. When I finally decided to install the update onto my Macbook Pro 15" today, my screen went completely black and I haven't been able to get it back since. The computer still turns on, I can tell because my caps lock key still glows when I press it and my volume buttons still make sounds when I press them. However, I cannot see anything on the screen. I don't even get the grey start up screen when I reset my computer. I have tried the SafeMode Restart where you hold Shift while it is restarting and the Display Reset in which you hold Command + Option (alt) + R + P until you hear the start up noise twice, and neither have worked. Any other advice on what I can do to get my screen back without having to send my computer away to be fixed?

Last Thursday someone put a virus in my laptop and I have not been able to see or play any of the songs that I have purchase from itune. I had about 230 songs that I puchase from itune.

Not a good idea to post personal information on a public forum.
Good news - you have not lost your iTunes purchases. You can re-download them to your computer or to another computer that you have authorized your Apple ID to iTunes on as follows:
1.     Open iTunes and sign on with the Apple ID that was used to make the purhases
2.     Click on the iTunes Store
3.     Click on Purchased under the Quick Links sidebar on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store window
4.     Click on Music (or whichever media you are looking to recover), then on "Not in My Library". Then click on Albums or Songs, Most Recent.
5.     You can then re-download individual items as you wish, or select "Download All" at the bottom of the screen to download everything

Firefox crashes several minutes after opening every time I use it. I think Firefox was updated shortly before this started. Uninstalling and reinstalling have not helped. Updating all plug-ins has also had no effect. Would appreciate help fixing this.

Browser starts out working normally but within a few minutes it freezes, stops responing and I have to close it using Task Manager. When I open Task Manager, it shows two Firefox programs running with different icons even though I only opened one window.

iTunes saves out a new copy of the entire library file every time a change is made to the library. This is not new behavior.
The slowdowns I have seen like this have ususally been caused by:
A virus
or
Some anti-virus software is incorrectly interpreting the rewriting of the file and is causing a problem.
Either way, you should definitely update your anti-virus software and definitions to the latest, and run a full scan of your system. If that does not help, you may want to recreate your iTunes library.

You don't need to transfer anything; money isn't kept on the card but rather is tied to the iTunes Store account once you redeem the card. Just log into the iTunes Store using the account ID under which that gift card was redeemed.

HT1386 Recently Itunes updated on my computer and I have not been able to sync to my Iphone 4 since. Anyone else have this problem? I even uninstalled and re-installed Itunes and it still did not fix the problem.

HT201068 Since this update I have not been able to log in to my online banking account

When I try to log in to my online banking account I get caught in a cycle. I enter my account number, then my password, then I am flipped back to the first screen. I enter my account number, next my password, I get flipped back to the first screen and so on.
I called the Bank Tech support and there is something in the latest update that has created this problem.

Your bank tech support doesn't sound very helpful. Are they specifically saying that they do not support Safari Version 8.0.3? If so, did they suggest another browser and version (e.g. Firefox) that they do support on the Mac? Did they suggest/have you tried clearing history and cookies? To do that, open Safari and click Clear History and Website data on the menu named Safari.

Since 6 months, as soon as I open Firefox and type in a website, it just freezes. Its stops loading the website and also the whole firefox window freezes : it does not minimize and neither it pop backs. I have tried all the resolutions provided but none of them work for me.
