    Please try to re-install your firefox browser or maybe you must get the latest version of mozilla firefox browser, here >> [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new]
    And you can try to re-install your Adobe Flash Player too and get the latest version here >> [http://example.com http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/]

  • After installing Firefox 6 Vimeo does not seem to properly recognise the browser and the Adobe Flash Player.

    I automatically upgraded to Firefox 6. Whenever I try to view a video on Vimeo I either am told that:
    'The video cannot be played with my current setup' and to switch to a browser with native H.246 support or to install the Adobe Flash Player.
    or
    That no mobile version of the video exists.
    I have the Flash player installed and have reinstalled it. I have also reinstalled Firefox 6.

    From what I can tell, the problem is not Silverlight, it is the flash plugin (10.3). I uninstalled and went back to FLASH 10.1 and Netflix, flash videos, flash based applications, etc all worked again on my brand new computer. Very unfortunate and frustrating.

  • Error installing the flash player in firefox 3.6.8 (win7)

    It downloads but when the red adobe box pops up, the install button is greyed out and never lets me complete the install. I have disabled the anti-virus (avg) but it refuses to install. Same computer 1 moth ago with XP3 had no problems. Have any idea what's up? TIA

    Vista and Windows 7 users may need to right-click the installer and choose "Run as Administrator".
    Also, you must check the small "I accept license" box for the Install button to become active.
    Windows users/IE, be sure you also update IE. IE uses a different Flash version. You must do both downloads/installs to completely update your system for Flash.

    However, i have not been able to use Internet Explorer
    sometimes any .exe after this bug happens.
    along with not just videos but other sites using flash player
    related material. The only way to repair my computer temporarily is
    to restart my computer and restrain myself from using flash player.

  • 8/20/2014 - Beta - Flash Player 15.0.0.130

    The latest Flash Player 15 beta builds are now available. Beta builds can be downloaded from labs.adobe.com.
    New Features for Flash Player 15:
    Relaxing Stage3D Render Target Clear
    In previous versions of Stage3D, after switching the render texture through Context3D::setRenderToTexture, you were required to clear it before drawing. In this release, we're removing this limitation and optimizing the use of render textures. This change will allow you to further optimize and reuse depth and stencil buffers between different render textures.
    Improved support for browser zoom levels - Windows 8
    Flash Player now has improved support for browser zoom factors other than 100% on Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x.  Devices, like the Microsoft Surface tablets, default to a zoom level of 150%.  In the past, this could cause problems with Flash Player and some 3D content.  With our new implementation, we can now scale the content and 3D buffers to keep everything aligned.  In addition, Flash Player introduces an option to render to an increased Stage3D back buffer, rather than scaling, on browser zoom to keep the resolution of the rendered content high. This option allows to the stage3D buffer to change in size in synch with the change in the browser zoom factor.  Developers are notified of this change with a new ZOOM_FACTOR_CHANGE event.
    Flash Player Fullscreen Orientation Change - Windows
    Flash Player will now detect and appropriately scale your content to fit best in a fullscreen display when your device orientation is changed.  This change is specific to Windows and is implemented across all browsers.  We're focusing on providing the best tablet experience possible.  A resize event will fire when in fullscreen mode and the device orientation changes.  Developers, if your content does not resize, you will need to handle the resize event appropriately.  Additional details will be made available in a separate blog post.
    Hardware video decoding on Chrome (PPAPI) for Windows
    We're pleased to announce that hardware video decoding is now enabled by default for Chrome users on Windows.  This feature will drastically reduce the CPU usage and improve performance on supported videos players.  We're working closely with Google to bring this feature to OS X and will provide additional details when available.
    Automatic software fall back with StageVideo
    Flash Player 15 now supports a Software version of StageVideo that provides an automatic failover to the software version when hardware StageVideo is not available. To leverage this automatic failover, the swf apps need to be compiled for Flash Player 15 and above.
    When the swfs are compiled for Flash Player 15 and above, and when hardware StageVideo is unavailable, the app will get a StageVideoAvailability event as earlier, but instead of being "Unavailable" it will ALWAYS be "available", and the reason will always be "noError". The app will no longer need to implement a Video object failover as the failover is automatic inside flash player. The apps can still choose to use Video object instead of StageVIdeo if needed.
    Hardware StageVideo availability is dependent on a number of factors, including:
    Browser hardware rendering support: If available, all wMode based apps will support hardware StageVideo. If not available, wMode=direct based apps will be the only ones that will support hardware StageVideo, unless there are other exceptions, like the ones mentioned below.
    IE11: IE has an accelerated pipeline and the FlashPlayer is HW accelerated in all wmode, so StageVideo should always be available. Note that the decision to use the HW accelerate rendering pipeline reside in IE.
    Firefox: There is currently no HW accelerated pipeline available in Firefox on windows and only wMode direct will have StageVideo available all other wMode should generate a unavailable event.
    Chrome: Pepper has HW acceleration in all wMode, but some restrictions apply. For example Chrome will refuse to use HW acceleration on Windows XP and it has its own driver blacklisting mechanism. It is also possible for the user to disable the HW acceleration in the settings panel. Chrome exposes a somewhat useful page to allow one to see the status of its gpu acceleration: chrome://gpu/
    On Mac:
    Safari: All wMode should expose StageVideo
    Firefox: All wModes should expose StageVideo
    Chrome: All wMode should expose StageVideo, with the same limitations as the windows version.
    Driver version: Certain older drivers may not support hardware StageVideo
    User settings: If a user turns off hardware acceleration, then hardware StageVideo will not be available
    Full Screen: Hardware StageVIdeo is always available in Full Screen mode.
    When the hardware StageVideo fails because of browser support, wMode, driver version or user settings, starting with Flash Player 15, SW StageVideo will be used automatically without needing any configuration or code in the app.
    Testing Focus:
    Hardware Video Decoding is now on by default for Chrome users. If you experience playback or stability problems when watching Flash-based video, please report them to the Beta forums. Including the output of the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag) would be especially helpful.
    Fixed Issues
    Corrects an issue introduced in Flash Player 15.0.0.100 beta. Videos now play as expected when "Enabled Hardware Acceleration" is unchecked on Mac (3796536)

    Thanks Clark for addressing my problem.
    I was out of town, just returned today. Hence some delay in my reply.
    The application being at an enterprise level and huge, I am not sure how to share a simplified source.
    The complexity of the elements getting created in the application may also cause error in rendering at that zoom level.
    Let me find out some way out of how to share more details on this.
    I will be able to share the swf link with you after discussing the confidentiality terms with the concerned person.
    I appreciate your patience.
    Have a good day!

    I can't speak to YouTube's internal logic, but I think that they look at your connection quality and attempt to suggest the best option for current conditions.  Given that there's a lot of stuff between your house and YouTube, transitory congestion and performance issues can arise.  When selecting the highest video quality, you're consuming more bandwidth.  If a bottleneck anywhere on the route between you and YouTube prevents the stream from coming in faster than it's playing back, it is going to stop and start as the video rebuffers.
    You can try rebooting, as "if in doubt, reboot" are great words to live by.  If any of the hardware or software running on the computer ended up in a wonky state, rebooting will typically solve that.  YouTube itself provides some good stats about the available bandwidth in the "Stats for Nerds" right-click menu option.
    Anyway, not all YouTube videos are encoded the same way, so having an exact link to a couple videos that demonstrate the specific problem you're experiencing would be very helpful.
    Thanks!
    P.S.  I've updated the subject to provide a more useful handle for people experiencing similar issues.

  • Flash player does not work with Ie or Firefox with win 8.1?

    Flash player does not work with Ie or Firefox with win 8.1 64, If i try and play a video I get the message to install Flashplayer.
    If I try and install it it says it is already installed. Your onsite  installer says it is not applicable to my machine.
    I have followed all the normal steps re enabling addons and active filters etc.
    all to no avail Pc is Dell 6 months old, Flashplayer has never worked on this machine. Last MS update mid Dec 2014.
    Version of flashplayer is 15....03.......

    Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer.  There's nothing separate to download or install.
    Firefox requires a different version of Flash Player (the NPAPI plug-in), which will be served to you if you go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer using Firefox; however, there are some unique stability issues related to Firefox on Win8.1, and you're probably better off using Google Chrome if you want a more optimal experience with Flash Player.
    For problems where IE isn't being detected by sites that require Flash:
    First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
    Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
    You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

  • 4/28/2015 - Beta - Flash Player 18.0.0.107

    The latest Flash Player 18 beta builds are now available.  Beta builds can be downloaded from labs.adobe.com.
    New Features for Flash Player 18:
    Improve Flash Player Install Process
    We have had consistent feedback from our customers that they prefer not to shut down their browser(s) to simply install Flash Player. This feature attempts to remove this requirement whenever possible. On the Macintosh, the installer will no longer display a dialog to shutdown the currently running browsers or applications that are using Flash Player. In most cases, the same is true on Windows. However, on Windows, if a user is performing a "re-install" of the same version of Flash Player, the installer will require that the application using Flash Player be closed so that files can be unlocked and overwritten.
    Once the installation is completed, the user is notified that the browser may need to be restarted to use the newly installed version. This restart requirement is dependent on the browser. For example, Mozilla Firefox does not require a restart. Simply refreshing the webpage or opening a new tab in Firefox will detect and use the new Flash Player version. Other browser may end up using the previously installed version of Flash Player until a restart is performed. We will continue to work with the browser vendors to remove this restriction and reduce restarts as much as possible.
    Audio APIs added to Flash Player NPAPI
    We have added the ability for NPAPI compatible browsers and applications to query the player and detect if audio is currently being played and the ability to mute. This new feature will allow applications to alert the user if audio is being played and give them the ability to mute, even if the Flash content does not.
    Stage3D - Standard Extended Profile for Desktop
    In version 17 Standard Extended Profile was introduced on iOS and Android devices which support GLES3. In version 18, Standard Extended Profile support is added for Flash Player and AIR Desktop. It is represented by a new constant ‘STANDARD_EXTENDED’ in the Context3DProfile class. This constant can be used in the requestContext3D and requestContext3DMatchingProfiles methods of Stage3D. The “standardExtended” profile can only be accessed if the swf version is 28 or more.
    Browser Zoom Factor for PPAPI Plugin and non-Win 8x ActiveX
    We've introduced a feature that proposes scaling of Flash content in the web browser in response to web page zoom factor change. This feature was already present for Internet Explorer on Window 8.x.  In Flash Player 18, it now supports PPAPI (Opera and Chrome) and Internet Explorer on Windows 7 and below.

    While I'm not going to go through the re-installation again to test this, can you go to this page
    Adobe - Test Adobe Shockwave and Flash Players
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
    to make sure you didn't just move the old / uninstalled versions back into place?  I used the installer and it put things where they were to go.
    I was having lots and lots of problems (still having a few) and did the following:
    1) ran shareware app: iDelete QT and Flash Caches
    2) ran Adobe's uninstaller
    3) repaired permissions
    4) ran the installer for latest version
    5) ran the permission repair again
    largely seems to work now.
    I never needed to dig in the trash to get out files, and most people aren't reporting that which is why I ask that you verify the version...
    and, I had run the installer several times trying to diagnose/get around problems.
    Either way, best of luck and thanks for sharing what worked for you

  • Trying to find out which line of AS2 code is causing flash player crash in firefox & chrome browser

    Hello,
    I have a flash movie (AS2) created for the website visitors' registration and this flash movie is longer in size than the browser's window height so that site visitors need to browse down using browser's vertical scroll bar to see all of the contents in the flash movie.
    When users click the submit button in the flash movie then
    Firstly, the AS2 code attached to the      on(release){    event scrolls the html page back to the top (because the user must have scrolled down to view the flash movie content at the bottom of the page and I want the html page to go back to the top of the page)
    getURL("javascript:window.scroll(0,0)");    // this is the AS2 code I have used for scrolling the page back to the top. I suspect this code is causing the flash player crash in firefox and google chrome
    and also tells the _root of the flash movie to go to and stop at a frame named "StartEnteringData".
    _root.gotoAndStop("StartEnteringData")     //making the _root of the movie to go to the "StartEnteringData" frame
    this.gotoAndStop("Start")                                  //making this movieclip which contains the registation form to go to the first blank frame labelled "Start"
    The "StartEnteringData" frame on the _root of the flash movie has AS2 code for entering the registration data to the database by using loadVariablesNum( ... )
    Here's my question.
    Almost everytime the user/visitor click the Submit button, the firefox browser users and google chrome browswer users see the Flash Player CRASH...
    This doesn't happen often with the website visitors using MS Internet Explorer.
    I have read some www articles (by searching google) saying that Adobe Flash Player in Firefox and Chrome browsers crash a lot.
    But, for my flash movie, everytime the visitor clicks the submit button, flash player crashes. Therefore, I guess it is the AS2 code that I'm using (associated with the on(release) event of the submit button) is causing the flash player crash rather then the flash player compatibility with Firefox and Chrome browsers.
    So, someone please tell me what's causing the flash player crash.
    Is there a better code to make a web page to go back to the top?
    I am also using the codes shown below on the first keyframe of the main movie. (_root)
    //For custom flash right click menu:
    var myMenu_cm:ContextMenu = new ContextMenu();
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.zoom = true;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.quality = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.print = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.save = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.loop = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.rewind = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.play = false;
    myMenu_cm.builtInItems.forward_back = false;
    _root.menu = myMenu_cm;
    //For tiling the flash movie background with bitmap picture
    import flash.display.BitmapData;
    var tile:BitmapData = BitmapData.loadBitmap("pattern");
    this.beginBitmapFill(tile);
    this.lineTo(Stage.width, 0);
    this.lineTo(Stage.width, Stage.height);
    this.lineTo(0, Stage.height);
    this.lineTo(0, 0);
    this.endFill();

    by repeatedly commenting out lines of code you suspect are causing the crush and retesting you should be able to pinpoint the problem.

  • Flash Player - Disable Hardware Acceleration - Apple TV-Mac OS 10.4.7/Firefox

    Hello all,
    I have been going down a fun path getting my 1st Generation Apple TV (160 GB HD) to run Hulu natively (without PlayOn restreaming).  After fun times getting Firefox and Flash Player working, I blasted through setting up Hulu Widget to keep the video size small (Apple TV in 480p defaults to an 800x600 res).   Things look pretty good. I maxed out buffering/cache for all Hulu related sites within Global settings, this produced nice improvements.  I found a GreaseMonkey script that forces the Flash Player to always render Low Quality video.  This helps immensely at stopping stuttering with little trade off in quality.  My last piece to try to tweak video playback (aside from monkeying around with the OS X kernel) is the disable Hardware Acceleration.
    BUT, I am having a major problem with mouse support or something.  Everytime I bring up the Display settings via a Right Click, I cannot uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration".  Surprisingly clicking it 500 times still does not make it uncheck.
    I have searched high and low but have not found a clearcut way to disable it via script or other non-interactive means.
    I wonder if there might be a javascript that could be plugged into GreaseMonkey to accomplish the end goal.   This blog and Adobe document refer to the wmode parameter and how to use it to disable HA.

    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/fplayer10_1_hardware_acceleration.html
    I am thinking perhaps I can take the Low Quality JS (http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/38994) and replace "quality" with "wmode".  Am I on track?    It  seems "opaque" might be the right one.  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/127/tn_12701.html
    There is a case related to my question:  https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-5748
    Any tips, clues, pointers, commiserations?

    Hi, LOL at my screen moniker. That's interesting that the FF beta has an Option for that. The only problem, is that I have heard that each browser must UNcheck the H.A. I'm sure you'll find out.
    Hope that works at least for FF. Let me know if you have time.
    I've been checking out Apple TV and Google TV. Just saved the links and some info, haven't had time to go further. I'd prefer Apple TV over Google tho.
    I have a 55" HD Sony/Blu-ray Surround Sound Speakers, etc. I hooked up the VGA cable for Internet, and WOW on the Screen/Monitor!! Now I'm thinking about the iPhone 4 with VZ too, on their pre-order list for 2/3/11!
    Hard to keep up with the Technology, moving faster today for some reason.
    We are under the Snow & Ice warning, getting it now. Hope I don't lose power! If so, I'll be offline for sure.
    If I find anything on that H.A. for IE, I'll let you know.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • I use the latest Firefox 13.0.1. I'm using Windows 7. After a day I updated my Adobe Flash Player, suddenly it crashed and showed a blue screen. Please help me.

    My Firefox version is 13.0.1. I'm using Windows 7. Adobe Flash Player version is 11.3.300.265. A few minutes after opened the Firefox, suddenly it crashed and a blue screen showed up, it says there are unexpected error occured and forced my computer to be stopped. I need to restart the computer to see either it still show the blue screen or it just fine. After restarted, I use the Firefox once again, but this time, after about 30 minutes, it crashed again. The same blue screen showed up. As I expected, the new Adobe Flash Update crashes with the Firefox 13.0.1. Really need a solution here. Thank you.

    Hi,
    Blue screens usually indicate Windows system level problems involving device drivers like graphics card drivers, hardware errors (RAM, hard drive) etc. Malware may also cause this. Searching for the displayed error code would usually provide helpful pointers. The [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us Windows forum] would also be helpful.
