Firefox blocking resource request from localhost

I am developing a site on my local machine using using tomcat and MySQL v5.5.24. Site works fine on Chrome, however firefox and IE are blocking javascript consistently for 20 secs on page onload. Every page on firefox from localhost minimum takes 20secs to load for different resources (css/js/image) . Other sites works fine though on firefox.
Same page when loaded using Chrome is loading under 1sec.

• Firefox blocks my page from updating - how do I enable updating?

I like to have MSNBC and CNN open during the day when I am at work. For some reason, there is now a message saying that Firefox has blocked the page from updating and I have to constantly click "Allow" for it to update. I have tried to right click to "Always allow" but that is not an option. I have gone to "Options" but I cannot find a way to always allow updating.

That's a security feature in Firefox.

• WRT1900AC: Can it block DNS requests?

Hello,
Can the WRT1900AC block DNS request from devices in a home network to public DNS service like GoogleDNS? Can anyone tell me what steps are necessary to accomplish this?
I tried to follow instructions found on the web but I could not add static routes under Advanced Routing, I got errors either about the network submask or the Gateway (mine is 192.168.1.1 and is not accepted). i don't know what to enter in these fields and also what Interface to select (LAN/Wireless or Internet).
My firmware version is 1.1.8.164461.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you,

Hi,
Thanks for replying. I haven't contacted support yet to confirm you suspicion, My cable modem is a Motorola SB6141. I have done some basic research that indicates that it is not capable of NAT.
However, I was able to configure a static route in my router, using the cable modem IP asgateway. After this my ping requests to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) started to fail. This is probably still not what I need. I don't understand why I can't save my router's IP as gateway as indicated here: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/193662-setup-static-routes-on-linksys-and-cisco-... This link alerts to a bug in Linksys routers but the error message I get is not "invalid static route" as indicated.
Thanks,
Luiz

• How do I defeat or whitelist the "Firefox has blocked this site from loading another web page" function?

Often when I click a link within a web page, a message bar appears at the top of the page saying "Firefox has blocked this site from loading another page" or something similar. This happens frequently on banking or credit card sites. This is particularly annoying because it seems to disturb the operation of the link when I have to click the "Allow" box on the message bar. I would prefer to create a whitelist for this feature so it would not interrupt my banking operations. Failing that, I would like to know how to toggle the feature on and off. Failing that, I would like to know how to defeat the function.

See:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Thanks. "_gallery" is empty
Have you tried re-syncing as Larry suggested?
I'm sure it will work, but I'm perplexed as to how this could happen.
Do you find that iPhoto now launches faster? Perhaps it's because my web galleries are gone?

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
* On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
* Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshooting extensions and themes article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.

• Firefox is blocking my ProtecTools from inserting IDs and passwords, what should I do?

This is my third time to ask this. The Credential Manager program ProtecTools is being blocked from entering my IDs and passwords. The program is running on my computer and I am "logged in". I need to know if there is a compatibility issue with this like with Norton. Please advise. Thanks.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

• How to stop firefox from blocking secure info from reaching non-secure web page? It's causing purchased products to not be delivered

This is a new problem that is showing up not only in my software but many others. My software uses PayPal to process online purchases. PayPal is an secure site. When the customer returns to our site they land on a thank you page. The thank you page must receive the ipn message from PayPal to know what product download page to load for the customer so they receive the correct products, which they just purchased.
FireFox is blocking this information from the secure site to our unsecure site and causing the customers not to receive download information.
FireFox used to work well with our product delivery system but the latest update is causing all kinds of problems. To you have a fix for this inconvenience you browser is causing customers and companies who use a third party processing system?

• Firefox keeps blocking my webpage from changing to a new page - I don't want it to do this. How to I stock the blocks?

When working in several different programs (Auctiva is one) I get a message that Firefox blocked my webpages attempt to direct me to a new page. Sometimes I can click allow, but sometimes the message is gone so fast i have No Option. In most cases this page switch is necessary for what I am doing to happen - in Auctivia my listing won't post to eBay for hours if it can't switch pages. How can I stop Firefox for blocking these page switches. It is happening more and more. I have adjusted everything I can think of in settings, but nothing helps.

additionally the kodak clean print icon to rt of the amazon icon. a pop up widow appeared requesting
an up grade for a pdf adobe program. as these update windows are as common as can be i complied it asked to restart, ok but when firefox rebooted it was a new version 19. the navigation bar had morphed

• Every 2nd request from WTC fails

Hi there,
We are using WLS 10.0.1 integrated with Tuxedo 6.5 and have this strange situation where every second request sent from WLS to Tuxedo fails with "TPESYSTEM(12):0:0:TPED_MINVAL(0):QMNONE(0):0". There is no other associated message.
Our call sequence consists of:
ApplicationToMonitorInterface connection = tuxedoConnectionFactory.getTuxedoConnection();
Reply reply = connection.tpcall(requestMapper.getServiceName(), requestMapper.getTypedFmlBuffer(),
ApplicationToMonitorInterface.TPNOAUTH | ApplicationToMonitorInterface.TPNOTIME);
process reply
connection.tpterm();
The tpcall is throwing a TPException on every second invocation. The amount of time (seconds or minutes) that passes between invocations seems to be irrelevent. I've tried various combinations of flags passed to the tpcall, including zero, with no apparent difference.
I turned up WTC logging to try and troubleshoot the issue. Log fragments are pasted below.
Note that the same reader thread "ExecuteThread: '4'" appears to be used for both calls, suggesting that they are both making use of the same TCP connection.
A tcpdump of both calls reveals (apparently complete) outgoing request and incoming reply data in both cases. However, it looks as though WTC gets its input stream out of sync and (possibly) reads left over data from the 1st call. WTC ditches the connection when the 2nd call fails, so the 3rd call starts off with a brand new connection again.
Any ideas?
Please excuse the bulk, but here is the trace from the successful call:

Hi Todd,
Thanks for responding.
The Tuxedo developer here has provided me with the following information:
The Tuxedo version is 6.5 and the patch level as seen in the last line of $TUXDIR/udataobj/patchlev file is "389. CR093934 TUX 6.5 > HP-UX 11 64-bit /Domain is unable to connect to 32-bit domains"
The OS, Tuxedo is running on is: "HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/800 485721183 unlimited-user license"
In the Tuxedo ULOG file, I can see that the MTS service has received the request from WTC and the response being logged as well, without any error. However immediately after the request is completed, error messages is logged. The extract of this message is shown below:
130843.focdevapph001!GWTDOMAIN.4780: LIBGWT_CAT:1130: INFO: Disconnected from domain (domainid=<WTC_OBF>)
130843.focdevapph001!GWTDOMAIN.4780: LIBGWT_CAT:1354: INFO: Retrying domain (domainid=<WTC_OBF>) every 60 seconds
130843.focdevapph001!GWTDOMAIN.4780: LIBGWT_CAT:2005: INFO: Receive connecting request from remote domain (domainid<WTC_OBF>)
130843.focdevapph001!GWTDOMAIN.4780: LIBGWT_CAT:1128: INFO: Connection accepted from domain (domainid=<WTC_OBF>)

• Flash Player update request from Software Not. Valid or bogus?

I keep getting update requests from Software Not to update Flash Player 11 to higher #.  Is this a valid request to update Flash driver?  The request does nothing when selected and no programs are in the "HP STORE" to assist with install.  I have Win. 8, IE 10 with updates turned on for both.  If this is a bogus application I want to block it.  The pop in notice appears multiple times daily.

Flash Player for IE 10 in WIn 8 is "embedded" by Microsoft, and you don't update it outside of Windows Update, so, the odds are the notices you see are fake. If the notices appear in your browser, you need to look into another browser like Firefox, that uses add-ons like AdBlock Plus (not comaptible with IE - it doesn't work with ActiveX controls).
If you're seeing the update outside of the browser, you've likely got "adware" that's causing it.
