Firefox can't load certain stuff

live.com isn't opening/loading and can't see youtube comments while all that is working with Chrome. I did clear my Cache and Cookies but still the same..

Safe Mode does a few different things, but usually the most relevant are:
* Disables hardware acceleration, which can help with graphical glitches
* Disables extensions, which may be interfering with page loading/rendering
Do you want to review your extensions and see whether any can be disabled permanently (or removed)? You might need to exit out of Firefox and start it again normally.
Open the Add-ons page using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that help with the problem sites?

  • I can't load certain cd's into itunes

I can't load certain cd's into itunes, I get error code 4900 when i ran diagnostics.

Thanks for the suggestion. CD's are clean; no finger prints or dust. Still can't import into iTunes. A little background-- I had iTunes on a PC previously. When I transferred the library to my MacBook, I noticed some CD's were not transferred. This is one of the CD's I had in iTunes on my PC, but is now not in iTunes on my MacBook. Why can I not add this and some other CD's to iTunes on my MacBook?

The crash reports indicates the crashes may be caused by a file named mcbrwctl.dll, that file is part of McAfee Site Advisor. Try disabling the McAfee Site Advisor to see if that stops the crashes.
To do that, in the Tools menu select Add-ons to open the add-ons manager. Select the Extensions panel, then in the list of extensions select McAfee Site Advisor then click on the Disable button. Re-start Firefox to complete the process.
For info McAfee Site Advisor has caused various problems with Firefox for quite a few people.

  • Can't load certain part of website with Safari or Firefox

Hi, I am having trouble loading certain part of this website:
    http://stat.fundservice.net/index/index.html
I get a "?" in a box in Safari and blank in Firefox.
Can somebody help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

It seems like this site is using ActiveX controls, which is a proprietary piece of software invented and solely used by Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
If this site weren't in Korean, I'd suggest sending the webmaster a quick little email, telling them about the one out of four people not using IE.

  • Firefox has trouble loading certain videos on certain websites.

My Firefox is doing some weird stuff on websites with videos things in the site. For example about half the youtube videos I try stop at 1-3 seconds in, say the video is fully loaded, and doesn't play the rest, and won't load no matter how many times I refresh and clear my cache. Other sites seem to work fine, but on some if I try to skip to certain parts in a video the image freezes and/or switches to a weird blocky green, but the sound keeps playing. I've tried uninstalling my flash, re-installing it, tried earlier versions of it, but nothing works, so I'm thinking it's Firefox that's messed up. I'd test with my internet explorer to see if it works, but it's so outdated that sites aren't even compatible with it, and my computer is too old to update it for some reason.

  • Firefox won't load certain pages

My Firefox browser has not been able to load certain web pages for over a few months now. The web pages that it wont load involve my college information portal website where i have to access my class information, my college email, and various credit card sites and banking sites. I have tried deleting cookies/ emptying the cache, installing multiple plug-ins/add ons and nothing has seemed to work so far. When it attempts to load one of those pages, the screen it just all white and there is no movement of the loading bar or anything of that matter. If anyone can help me solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Browser can't load certain pages

I experience this problem with Safari, Firefox and Netscape. Certain pages -- ESPN is a good example -- load halfway and then stop, and all I get is the spinning rainbow ball. I always have to force quit. This started a few weeks ago. I assume it's a plug-in of some kind, but reinstalling Firefox didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hello there,
Do you have a style sheet [ CSS ] you are using in Safari-> Advanced Tab? if yes set it to none, and see if that helps.
Whilst in Advanced tab check your network settings & make sure you've no proxies checked on.
In " View " Check your Text encoding try using Unicode.
Have you tried a restart,if the puter that can help.
Have you run permission repair and see if DU reports any errors.
In Utilities Disk Utility, First Aid tab. do not bother with verify perm.
do run repair permissions. Stay on the left side of the Disk Utility
< [ not repair disk ] if you know already, sorry.
Good Luck, I hope something helps..

  • Does anyone know why safari and firefox won't load certain pages

    Hi
I can't get safari and firefox to load certain pages.  For me it's a website programme that i'm using.  I can get into the programme but then certain pages won't load.  This suddenly happened about 3 weeks ago with Safari.  I then loaded Firefox and it worked fine for a few days and now i'm having the same problem and it's the same pages that won't open.  I also have trouble getting other sites to load completely, such as this site.  It's so frustrating as i can't finish building my website and my laptop is only new!
    Help someone, if you can
    Julsea

Hi again and thanks for replying
I can go into their website, cloudaccess and use that properly.  I just can't use my own website properly.  When i say website, my site isn't yet built.  The site i'm trying to access is the backend of joomla.  I can't load it and use some of it but not all of it.
I can access the site through my old laptop (and use it fully) which is a windows one but i can't access it via this one.  I thought it was a cloudaccess problem but seeing as it's only my mac i can't access it through, i'm presuming it's my computer.  I also tried it through firefox and explorer on my windows laptop and it was fine.  It was ok on this laptop until a few weeks ago when it suddenly wouldn't load properly

  • No web browser (firefox included) will load certain web pages on a Mac. "Unable to connect."

I try to go to those pages. Immediately (without loading or any wait) I get an "unable to connect" message. On Firefox, it says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.cj.com." On Safari, it says "Safari can’t connect to the server." Yet I can access these websites using a PC which is on the same wireless network.
What is going on?! I don't know where the problem is. Is it the network, the computer, a firewall? It's making me crazy because new sites keep getting added to this "blacklist," often sites that I need to access for my business. This is very inconvenient.
== URL of affected sites ==
    http://www.cj.com, www.cracked.com, www.ezinearticles.com

If this happens with both Firefox and Safari, it may be a problem with the internet connection on your mac. Do other internet applications work (mail, etc)?
Check the Airport menu on your mac and confirm that the icon isn't greyed out or has an exclamation mark.
