  • Mac OS X - Firefox will not load intranet sites. Sites will load in any other browser

    for my company's intranet site, Firefox will not load it. The site will load via Safari and Chrome. I have tried every solution outlined here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can?esab=a&as=aaq
    I have done all the obvious as well (reset firefox, cleared cache, reinstalled, etc.). I am now on a different MacBook with a clean install of Firefox and am facing the same issue.

  • Firefox can't load webpages

    Unfortunately the program does not work properly on iMac. The first address is loaded without problems. Therefore whatever. Then just spins and writes connecting. I read all the advice. Unfortunately does not work either. Using version 32.0.1. I disable the firewall, I don't have malware, etc. Both Safari and Chrome it works without problems. We can not have a program to need finetuning to load a web page. I am tempted to think it is a waste of time.

    Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
    to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
    updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

  • Firefox unable to load https sites

    Since Monday I have been unable to load up any secure site (e.g. that starts with "https://....") in Firefox.
    It says it's loading, but sits there for a few seconds and then comes up with a "Problem loading page" screen.
    The same sites open fine in IE.
    These sites worked fine in FF until this week. I haven't changed any FF settings, I have cleared all cache, done a complete reinstall of FF - all to no avail.
    I have no addons, and all plugins are disabled.
    I am running Windows 7 Professional.
    Help!
    == Operating system ==
    Windows 7 Professional

    PS. There are no firewall / proxy settings blocking HTTPS sites.

  • Since yesterday's (Nov 6th) update, firefox fails to load any sites from web (still displays html files from PC). I tried restore, didn't help.

    I've installed the recommended update yesterday (Nov 6th) but didn't restart Firefox. Since restarting the computer this morning, Firefox has failed to open any website from the web. The connection is ok, explorer loads the sites normally, Firefox opens tabs as normal, it's just that the content of the pages doesn't show up, and after a while we get messages like "connection timed out". HTML files that I have stored on my own hard drive display normally in Firefox.
    I tried "restore Firefox" but it didn't help.

    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Suddenly, Firefox won't load Netflix site

    Hi all,
    All of a sudden, completely out of the blue, Firefox will not load the Netflix website, or it takes forever for it to load. I have used Netflix streaming for over a year now and never run into this problem. I am using a MacBook, OS X 10.4.11, and Firefox 3.6.28, but am having the same problem when I try using Safari. A Netflix representative told me it must be a security issue because I am able to reach the Netflix sign in page just fine. The loading problem occurs when I actually try to sign in and get to my queue, personal page, etc. My internet is fine, and I'm able to load other websites as quickly as always.
    Any tips or suggestions? I have no clue why this is suddenly happening.

    The "Mac" FF users hang out in FF forums.  You should post there.

  • Firefox does not load any sites the first time, including Firefox itself, other browsers do.

    In the last few days I have experienced a problem logging on to nearly every site the first time. I get the message that the connection was reset....we have 3 identical computers in our home and I am the only one experiencing this problem. I can immediately try again and log on, but it is annoying to get that message with all sites, including Firefox itself, I have tried to clean out my cache and my cookies, but the problem persists.
    Also, firefox is locking up my computer frequently. As it is as I attempt to send this message. I will copy and past this into another message as soon as I restart my computer.

    Hi cor-el,
    Yes the problem has reappeared, so I tried bypassing the cache for my Windows computer as you suggested: Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button, or "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows) I then clicked on my bookmark (http://mdotnetpublic.state.mi.us/drive/ ) and I still see a blank screen and a spinning wheel. This seems to go on indefinitely. But like before I posted the question, when I click the reload button it forces the page to load right away.
    [running Firefox 32]
    I appreciate your quick responses, and look forward to more suggestions. I'll also search the support pages for information about my problem.
    Thank you.

  • Firefox can't load certain stuff

    live.com isn't opening/loading and can't see youtube comments while all that is working with Chrome. I did clear my Cache and Cookies but still the same..

    Safe Mode does a few different things, but usually the most relevant are:
    * Disables hardware acceleration, which can help with graphical glitches
    * Disables extensions, which may be interfering with page loading/rendering
    Do you want to review your extensions and see whether any can be disabled permanently (or removed)? You might need to exit out of Firefox and start it again normally.
    Open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
    Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Does that help with the problem sites?
