Firefox cannot establish connection to server 127.0.0.1:1234
I want to open my bank's security and it says that firefox cannot establish connection to server 127.0.0.1:1234
I now know that a file " user.js " has been installed (probably by the Trojan) along with " user.js.BAK " in my Profiles Folder. The Support article on " user.js " says that it is never installed by default. Unless FF4 installs one (unlikely) the presence of this file explains exactly what is happening. It contains changes to the normal configuration and is read at every FF startup when it automatically transfers its content to another file in Profiles. This is " prefs.js " where all the preferences are stored. It also has a BAK file added by the Trojan: " prefs.js.BAK ".
The above Article says these files can be read by Notepad. But mine cannot. The BAK files display pure gibberish in Notepad. The parent files cannot be opened at all. They generate a Compile error. They seem heavily protected from interference.
Would somebody kindly tell me (1) What application normally opens BAK files; (2) Assuming I can do so, would it be OK to simply delete the user.js file and its backup?
Even if I have to rename them first?
With that gone, I can probably reset "prefs.js" either using "about:config" (which Preference?) or using the UI on the Tools | Advanced tab to select "No Proxy". But I am unsure about these next steps and would welcome corroboration.

Mac Firefox cannot establish a connection to the server at
I have a power PC G4 mac running OSX 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.10 and occasionally get the error message that Firefox cannot establish a connection to the server at ourhealthcoop.net or getshen.com and various others. How can I fix this and what is causing it? If it is a firewall, then how do I find the firewall and what do I do to "make things right"?
If Firefox cannot connect to any site, the problem may be a firewall blocking access. For details on that and other possible causes see [[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]].

Whenever I try to open Firefox it says cannot establish connection, maybe your firewall is preventing us from accessing the web. Even though I've let Firefox through my firewall, this message still appears. And whenever I try to redownload it, it just says installation failed. It does this with all installations... Is there something wrong with my computer? How do I fix it?
Sometimes you only disable the user interface of security software, but the firewall or anti-virus services are still running in the background.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Cannot establish connection - JDBC driver for MS SQL server 2000
Hi,
We are facing problems in connecting to SQL server 2000.
We have installed the latest version of the driver from followin link and following
https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/msplatforms > SQL Server > JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server (Version 3.70.10)
We have given the following entries in our communication channel:
JDBC Driver : com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
Connection: jdbc:sqlserver://<SQLserver IP>:1433;databaseName=production_info
Please let us know the procedure to find if the JDBC driver for SQL 2000 is installed from our SAP XI.
ERROR DETAILS:
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:sqlserver://<SQLserverIP>:1433;databaseName=production_info' using the JDBC driver 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:sqlserver://<SQLserverIP>:1433;databaseName=production_info': SAPClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver'
Please help.
Regards,
RehanHi Chris,
We have used the same because we have downloaded the driver from following location
https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/msplatforms ; > SQL Server > JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server (Version 3.70.10)
I have tried with both "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver"; and "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver";, but still I am facing the same error.
Service market place has given the driver as "JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server (Version 3.70.10)", is there a way to find out if it is for 2000 or 2005?
Thanks for your reply.

I'm getting a message saying that Firefox cannot establish a connection to google.
Something happened to Firefox yesterday - and now all I can get is a message saying that Firefox cannot establish a connection to google.
I searched for help via IE and I tried all the fixes suggested. I even restored my computer to an earlier state- that didn't change anything; set network settings to No Proxy; then I uninstalled Firefox, deleted all the program files, and then reinstalled - but nothing seems to work.
I really don't want to have to use IE, and I'm not technical enough to really know what I'm doing at this point. I'm afraid I might have lost all my bookmarks, screwed something(s) up on my computer etc.
This is SOOOOOOOOOO irritating and frustrating - can someone help me please.Sorry to hear about your bookmarks. When you uninstalled Firefox, did you tell it to remove your personal data? That unfortunately would be irreversible, so hopefully you didn't do that.
You mentioned deleting some folders. Your bookmarks and other Firefox settings data normally are stored in a hidden folder under C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox. I'm not sure whether you dug down and deleted folders under there. If so, please check the Windows Recycle bin and try to restore the Mozilla\Firefox folder to a safe location (e.g., Documents).
Did you use Firefox's Reset feature at any point? That would have moved your old settings folder to your desktop, inside a folder named Old Firefox Data. Hold on to that if you have it.
Regarding Google, I wonder whether your computer has contracted any malware infections that might be modifying your access. You could try the tools in our support article [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. Those are free and take a considerable amount of time to run. If they seem to finish quickly and require a payment for cleaning, you may have a serious infection. In that case, try the specialized malware cleanup forums listed in the article. -
Why Cannot establish connection.
Hi,
I'm a new for weblogic and jdeveloper, and now I try to deploy FOD (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html) on a Linux server(Jdeveloper is running on the same server),but the connection to localhost can't be established. When I check the connection to 127.0.0.1 on port 7101, it always complains like that:
Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed.
Cannot establish connection.
Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped.
Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.
Testing JNDI ... skipped.
Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped.
Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
but the website: http://127.0.0.1:7101/console can be accessed, anyone knows why?
Thank you.You are not able to establish a connection from jdev to the server right. If so you need to add an entry with the ip address and the hostname of server in the host file C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.

Network Adapter cannot establish connection
Hello. I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere: I have a database that can be accessed via JDBC from certain IP addresses but not others. The ones that can't access it give me the exeception: "Network Adapter cannot establish connection" The database machine can be PINGed from the client; the IP address of the database is used so it's not a name resolution problem; we are instatiating the driver correctly...AND it WORKS from other clients!
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks. If there are firewalls involved, connections on port 1521 have to be allowed.

Network error could not connect to server 127.0.0.1:5900
I have created a virtual machine in VM manager from a template and when I try to view the console I get the error "network error could not connect to server 127.0.0.1:5900"
The way that I have everything set up is this.... I am using Oracle VirtualBox installed on Windows 7 and I have created a virtual machine in VirtualBox with Oracle Virtual Server installed and I have Oracle VM Manager installed on that same virtual machine. After reading some forums I found out that I needed to install TightVNC to be able to use the console from Windows IE. So, I have installed TightVNC on my OVS but I can not even tell if it is running. I have also made sure that in iptables that port 5900 is open. I have confirmed this by using nmap to scan my ports and port 5900 is open for vnc when my virtual machine in vm manager is running. I just can not figure out why I am getting the network error unless TighVNC is not running on my OVS. Does anyone have any ideas for why this might be happeneing. ThanksHi,
it seemed when you registered the OVM server to the OVM manager, it did not deliver the correct hostname, but the local address instead.
See if your /etc/hosts contains the hostname in the 127.0.0.1 line.
Correct the /etc/hosts, remove the OVS server and reregister with OVM manager.

Keep getting message when I go to you tube saying it cannot establish a secure server. What can I do to resolve issue?
We need more info to help. How are you accessing You Tube? In the You Tube app or through Safari? What have you already tried to do to fix the problem and what was the outcome?

I cant update my mibile always i got the same message. An error occurrd during updating and sime times cannot establish connection ?!!!!
Hi Martha Leal Tapia,
Yes this issue was resolved. I had to add the below two parameters in the instance profile and continue the installation.
icm/server_port_1 = PROT = P4, PORT = 5$(SAPSYSTEM)04, HOST = <full hostname as in the /etc/hosts file>
icm/host_name_full=<full hostname as in the /etc/hosts file>
Note 1158626 P4 connection to ICM on machine with multiple IPs fails.
You can refer following SAPnote # 609603 for the above concepts although this refers to old release."
Thanks and regards

I just started learning ASP.NET through a book, and it asks to connect to "your" SQL server and explore a .mdf file. I've been trying to install SQL, but I only just now got a working installation, and even then it won't let me install the Management
Software. Whenever I try to connect, I get this error: http://puu.sh/7F2JY.png
This is exactly what I do to connect:
1) Open project
2) Navigate to the Server Explorer
3) Click on connect to database
4) In this menu, I can see me Machine name on the top part, which I think means that it's picking up my server runningh
5) On the bottom, it wants me to enter a database name. I think this may be my problem, as I have no idea what to do here.
Also, when I double click on the database file, I get this errpr (52): http://puu.sh/7F2Yw.png
I really don't know what to do here, so post any tips down belowHi,
Did you choose the correct Server name? It should be the machine name where you installed SQL Server on.
Is it empty when you open select or enter database name drop box in the Add connect dialog box in the Visual Studio 2013?
“Update: I re-installed, and then used both installers. Now I have the Server Management tools, but I still cannot connect.”
The screenshots indicates that the SQL Server is not accessible.
Do you mean that you are not able to connect SQL Server by using SQL Server Management Studio?
If so, make sure that SQL Server Services is started.
Please check out the following articles for details:

Cannot establish connection (updated)
I am trying to connect to an oracle 9.2.0.4 Database on Windows Server in shared mode through SQL Developer on Mac OS X and get only:
Failure E/A-Exception: the network adapter could not establish the connection.
This is my working jdbc connection string (from a linux server with tomcat):
jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS_LIST=
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)
(HOST=xxx.yyy.de)
(PORT=1525)
(CONNECT_DATA=
(SERVICE_NAME=DATABASENAME.yyy.de)
(SERVER=shared)
I tried this one in the advanced tab with no success (the basic settings also did not work). I have a blank OS X Installation.
What is going wrong?
kind regards,
Sven
------------- update ------------------
trying to start sqldeveloper manually gives the following error:
Error: Java home /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home//bin/java is not a J2SE SDK.
Running Oracle SQL Developer 1.0 under a JRE is not supported.
If the Java VM specified by the SetJavaHome is actually a full J2SDK installation
then add 'SetSkipJ2SDKCheck true' to /Users/einstein/Desktop/SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/Java/sqldeveloper/jdev/bin/sqldeveloper.conf
I added this and SQL Developer starts (and looks the same like starting via the App Icon)
I used a small Java program to test the jdbc connectivity:
java -classpath .:../SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/Java/sqldeveloper/jdbc/lib/ojdbc14.jar TestConnection jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxx.yyy.de:1525:SID
this works !
But SQLDeveloper still cannot establish a connection ?I got it: the database server was not excluded in the proxy settings of the system network preferences!
Now it works ... -
My internet works fine with other programs such as IE and Safari. I've tried removing Firefox from Windows Firewall's list of trusted or recognized programs, then adding it back but it still doesn't work. I have also performed a full system can of my computer using an antivirus program and the results show that my computer is not infected by a virus.
Open your iPhoto Library package with the Finder.
look for a folder titled Import or Importing and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto to see if the message goes away. If there is no message check the contents of the Import folder to see if you want to keep any of those image files (usually they have not been imported into iPhoto). If you want to keep them then drag the folder into the open iPhoto window to import.

My internet connection is fine when I use Explorer (but I don't like Explorer). I have Windows Vista.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
