I am using Firefox v 13.0.1 (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical 1.0) on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Whenever my system resumes from standby I am not able to open/load any webpages in the Firefox session that was already running before the standby. I don't get any error message, but the page doesn't load at all. If I close the session and start a new one everything works fine.
Not necessarily: rv:1.9.2.8 indicates a Firefox 3.6.8 version
*Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/4.0.1
You can check for a possibly corrupted user agent.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

Firefox cannot open any web site except facebook
firefox cannot open any web site except facebook.when i browse other site except facebook, it automatically open facebook.
Does Blackberry Link install any add-ons into Firefox? You can check here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category<br>
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Also, does Blackberry Link create any Windows network connections? To make sure Firefox isn't randomly choosing dysfunctional networks, check your proxy setting here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network > "Settings" button
If you have Auto-detect, try either No Proxy or Use system proxy settings. -
Cannot update Firefox from 3.6.3 to 8.0
I've tried repeatedly to do this but it will not load up.
Now I cannot open new websites. What happens when you download and run the installer? (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/)
Are you really running 3.6.3? You should update to 3.6.24 ASAP - http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Your user agent string may just be set incorrectly. See below
* Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
* If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
* Filter = general.useragent.
* Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
* Then restart Firefox -
How to make Firefox to open only ONE website
Hi,
I was wondering if there is any way to make Firefox to only open '''ONE '''website so that users cannot browse to other websites on the internet. Also to block users so they cannot edit the options etc. I need this as I am doing a project working on healthcare.
Regards,I do not know exactly what you are doing or what problems you envisage, but possibly it will entail you looking at your server security, and what information that presents on the internet and on your LAN. You should also consider what permissions and software users have, otherwise they could merely use an alternative browser or reconfigure or reinstall firefox.

[email protected]You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
*Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
*Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
*Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

I have a few domain computers that cannot open any webpages, 90% will not open. MSN CBS ABC NBC none of these pages will open. nothing loads on the page, it says connecting to.. If I click work offline, the page will load minus and video or pictures. just a format and wording appears.
I have cleaned cookies, reset to default, safe mode, rebooted, checked the firewall, checked the domain controller, re-installed, turned off IP V6, I followed every troubleshooting guide i can find. i check the network settings, check proxy, checked DNS, If i click help and try to get an update from Firefox, it just sits there at like 2.5 KB and says downloading forever.
The pages will set there and spin for hours. no error, no timeout.. just says connecting to ....(which ever page).Hello, any luck in [http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true windows safe mode] ?

Firefox cannot open pictures in F/B, but Internet Explorer does. Why?
While surfing Facebook.com I was unable to view pictures on any sites I visited while using Firefox 3.6.13. I exited Firefox and opened Internet Explorer 8.0.6+, and all photos opened without any trouble. How can I view pictures on Facebook.com while using Firefox?
It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right-click context menu while saving an image.

Why will Firefox not open links on website I create with Dreamweaver?
When i create a link to another web page, I cannot open the link in Firefox. I can in IE, but not in Firefox. I am working in Dreamweaver CS6
Such code should be working.
Do you see the correct URL popping up at the bottom of the screen when you hover such a link.
If that isn't the case then right-click the link and use Inspect Element to check what Firefox sees at that position.

After updating to Firefox 6, I cannot open Firefox at all. Nothing happens when I try. I went to Control Panel and tried to remove Firefox, but my system tells me that Firefox is already running, please close to continue. I do not have another copy running. Everytime i type in www.google.com I get this:
The connection has timed out
The server at www.google.com is taking too long to respond.
I have a laptop which runs firefox and opens google just fine. I have cleared my cache and cookies and tried all the other suggestions on the forums with no luck. I even tried getting there through a proxy server but had no luck.
HELP?!?You have to delete your cache and cookies: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Calendar/thread?tid=7151a96597e7c798&hl=en
I tried deleting various subsets of cookies and, in the end, deleted all cookies. After that, everything worked OK.
