Firefox cant find a server after updating. other browsers can. tried all suggested fixes, any suggestions?

keep getting this when trying to access the internet. only started happening after updating to firefox .36
Running windows xp, firefox has been working great until now. ive tried all the suggested fixes, firewalls etc.
Chrome and explorer are working fine but im a firefox fan and dont want to change. any help would be gratefully appreciated

This does sound like a Firewall issue. Are you running any security software on your PC?

I have an Appl,e AirPort Extreme Base Station (Simultaneous Dual_Band( MC340LL/A. After updating the software, no devices can connect via wifi.
As suggested in another discussion area, (AirPort), I reset the AEBS to factory defaults. On the TV, I went to >Settings>General>Network>Configure Wireless>Wireless Networks. I could then see the generic "Apple Network xxxxx" on the TV. From my MacBookPro, I verified that I could connect to the TV by launching iTunes and noting that the TV was now visible in the "Devices" menu. Went back to the AEBS and ran through the "Setup" routine. I did NOT use the "Previous Settings" but instead, saved the old settings profile, created a new wireless network and new settings profile and enabled WPA2 Personal encryption. I then went back to the TV and went through the "Settings" routine again (as noted above). This time, after entering my WPA2 password, the TV connected to the network and problem was solved. Thanks.

Safari and firefox 'cannot find the server' for every other page that i navigate to, unless I turn Wifi off and on. Once i reconnect to the network, the page loads, but after loading a few more pages, the same thing happens all over again.
This happens each and every time, on different Wifi networks, in different locations. On the other hand, I don't ever encounter this problem when I tether my laptop to my mobile phone's 3g/2g network using Personal Hotspot. How do I fix this?Try this DNS server ...
Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS
Click + and type:
208.67.222.222
Click + again and do the same.
208.67.220.220
Click OK.
Quit and relaunch both your browsers to test.

Since downloading the most current iTunes software I am no longer able to print an insert (label) for a jewel case. I click on print, choose jewel case and then it doesn't matter which option I choose for the insert it will only print the songs over each other in a 1 inch section so that it can not be used or read. If instead of clicking on the jewel case I click on list it works fine and prints an appropriate list. I have always updated the iTunes software the first time I am offered to do so and I have never had a problem printing the jewel case inserts. Since this issue is not about a piece of hardware iTunes help will not help me.
Did you ever get a response?

I wiped out my mail icon in my dock, I guess I deleted it totally? I can not locate it anywhere. Does anyone know how to recreate the mail icon so I can get to my incoming mail? With out having to restore my OS?
Thanks,Yes, I think my GF some dragged the mail icon into the trash bin and emptied the trash. because the bin has nothing in it? I think that could be why i can't find anything of a mail folder or icon?

my 3gs has no service after updating from ios 5 tried resetting network settings, resetting all settings and restoring from back up on itunes.
telus cant find any network problems and apple is difficult to deal with.please help 3 weeks with no phone and $70 a month not happy.I have been having a similar problem for the last few days.Without warning the signal will just completely duck out leaving the device searching for several minutes before settling on a no signal message.
Sometimes restarting the device, toggling data and 3g settings or toggling Airplane Mode will set things right. However, a lot of the time I've been left without a working phone.
I don't believe this is a SIM issue, as I had to change my SIM only one month ago for another signal related problem. Again any help would be appreciated here as well. -
Firefox cannot find a server that it has gone to easily in the past. Also it will lock up or can not find a page with in a web site ie like with FoxNews and you want to read and article. Firefox cannot find it. Sometimes I can not even log on to FireFox.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. I am troubleshooting an issue occurring on a family member's pc. Immediately after changing their "search" settings from "Yahoo search" to "Google search", they found that Firefox was unable to load any webpages. After troubleshooting the problem, I found the "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can" help page, and attempted each of the solutions listed. None of those solutions fixed the issue. Also, I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox; the issue persists. However, the 'new' version of Firefox remembered the tabs left open when the 'old' version was deleted, so some temporary files likely persisted.
