Firefox crash after viewing file properties in file choose window.
Crash ID: bp-7d3212dd-2a69-4f80-abc6-a37842131119
This is a problem with the better privacy add-on. Try disabling it then try again. You should report this to the dev.
For now you can try similar add-ons.

Firefox crashes after few seconds
I have WIN 7 64bit , since last update i.e 33.0 version, i am facing a problem that firefox crashes after few seconds . I troubleshoot the same as mentioned on your site but it doesn't work ........
kindly help .......We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click Help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Restart with Add-ons Disabled''.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>
[[Image:Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win]]
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] article to find the cause.
''To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
Can you also try disabling hardware acceleration to see if that fixes your problem? You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
#Open Firefox ''Options'' window as follows:
#* Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options''.
#In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.
#In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
#Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
* [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
* [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
If the above did not solve it, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box. (Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the ID's. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like)
<br><br>
Thank you for your help!
If you don't have enough time to go to that page and collect the crash reports:
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to sync my IPTC Core "date created" with my File Properties "Date File Created" for m
I am working with a massive file of images and part of the issue is that I need to match the Date Create in the IPTC Core to that of the File Properties "Date File Created" for each image. Is there a way to do that automatically?
The date data is complex. Read through this post and see if it sheds any light on your question. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1171910

The latest flash player release is 11,0,1,152.
Can you upgrade to this version and see whether the crash stil exists?
Go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install flash player.
In case you need direct link to installer/uninstaller, please go to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360#3952360 to find them.

My computer crashes repeatedly and I get the message pages are not responding do you want to stop, and/or shockwave is not responding do you want to stop. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3, I am having the same issues whether I use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. My HP Pavilion Desktop has 504 MB of Ram and I am using high speed internet connection. Because it was crashing so much, I used the uninstall program for Flash player to uninstall Flash, I checked my registry and removed anything I saw that was Flash. I then uninstalled Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, then I reinstalled the most recent versions from their websites. I did the same for FlashPlayer and Shockwave Flash. I went to the Adobe website and had them check to see if it was working and it shows I have FlashPlayer 10.3.181.36. The page that shows which version of flash player goes with Windows XP states that I should have 10.3.181.34 (This is what I thought I had before I updated, I was having the same problems). When I went into my computer to see what version I have, it shows 11.5.9.620 Activex and both Flash Player and Flash Player Object is listed as 10.3.181.34. My firewall for Windows is set to medium. I also am running Norton Internet Security. It takes anywhere from 3-6minutes for some of my games to load, and I have to refresh at least 3-4 times in order to play. When I do start to play it freezes frequently and I use escape to free it up. This has been going on for a month. I have no idea what to do. I am not very computer savy and I have been learning as I go. -

Since loading the newest version of Firefox on my computer running Vista Home edition Firefox crashes after several hours of inactivity. If I leave the browser open and return in a few hours, Firefox hangs and a control/alt/delete pulls up "Firefox not responding" and I have to close the application. Upon opening it again I get the Firefox box of oops, do you wish to open a new session or return to the old one. This problem never happened in earlier versions. Also, you tout the newest version is faster - not so on my computer.
if you use vista, try install sp2, and if the problem still there , try google chrome 10.x to see whether it is better, sometimes these sort of problem only happen to some specific websites, and esp. during rush hours of internet, i.e. night hours from dusk to mid-night.

using the latest Firefox Beta, after opening Shambhala.org site, the flash window shows up as a blank rectangle on subsequent sites. I am using Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard. The only way I can get rid of the blank rectangle is to restart Firefox.
That sounds like a known problem on OS X. From the known issues section of the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0b5/releasenotes/ Firefox 4 Beta 5 Release Notes]
"Plugin content can be rendered incorrectly leaving blank white squares over web content. Scrolling or switching tabs will often fix the problem, although sometimes you must close the tab which contains that plugin content (see [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=592453 bug 592453])"
This should be fixed in the next beta. -

When I try to enclose a file in gmail or hotmail, firefox open a new windows but I can't do anything... crash !!!
In Safe Mode Firefox crash again. In fact, it hangs, the same that in normal mode. As it hangs, the Mozilla crash reporter doesn't come up or isn't available.
I have installed WinDbg. All ok until I try to reproduce the crash or hanging. When I want to enclose a file, the dialog box "Files load" hangs. I can't capture the code, I can't do anything, the WinDbg isn't work then. I have to restart the computer.
The code when firefox is running until the computer hangs is:

Firefox crashes when trying to attach a file to gmail compose
Vista 32 laptop. When trying to attach a file to a gmail compose, explorer dialog pops up and then firefox crashes. Happens every time, and started (I think) with version 16 or 17. Updated plugins, went through troubleshooting on help menu, tried safe mode. All to no avail. IE works fine.
This report is about the Flash plugin:
*bp-f13d802e-81d7-48fb-b101-ecdd22130310 3/9/2013 8:00 PM
Make sure that you have the latest version of all plugins.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

'''eshbach''', Did you try updating the Trusteer Rapport software and did it fix the problem with Firefox crashing when downloading a file or saving a page?

If you don't need the Trusteer Rapport software, you can remove it. If you need the software, you can try updating it or else temporarily disable it to see if that stops the crashes.
For the record, here is the crash report from the ReportID you posted:

thanx 4 read it...Seems like a simple request. Win Movie Player does it. Nothing in QT Pro manual about this simple (I thought) task ??
QT is designed primarily for the simultaneous playback of multiple tracks or movies. The player app does not contain any internal "playlist" capabilities as such.
how do i simply play 3 or 4 avi files in succession, not all at once ?
Simplicity is in the eye of the beholder. There are several ways to do this. You could, for instance,
1) If the AVI compression formats are compatible with iTunes/your QT component configuration, you could place the audio and video data in an MOV file container, add them to iTunes, and place them in an playlist for playback.
2) You could create an Automator app which would play multiple AVI files or folders/subfolders of AVI files (in MOV containers) dropped on the app in a sequential manner.
3) You could create a "reference" movie (i.e., a pseudo "playlist) whose pointers point the the AVI files you want played in the order desired.
4) Use an alternative third-party player which includes an internal playlist.
And then perhaps repreat the sequence.
Easy, simply save the "Reference" movie mentioned above with the "Loop" option set.
In short there are many ways to do what you want. However, only you can decide which is the simplest for your purpose. -
ITunes 6.0.1 crashes after viewing Lyrics in Get Info
I can view all tabs in the Get Info window EXCEPT Lyrics.
If I select the Lyrics tab and then hit "Cancel" iTunes shuts down immediately. If I select OK after viewing the Lyrics tab, iTunes shuts down as soon as I perform any other action in the application (i.e select another song to view, play, etc.) BTW: It doesn't matter if there are lyrics in the input field or not. It also doesn't matter if I change or add any information in the Lyrics input field.)
Here's what I've tried:
- I deleted the .plist in Preferences. Didn't help.
- I deleted the iTunes_Library file and the iTunesMusicLibrary.xml file and rebuilt my library from scratch. Didn't help.
- I did all of the above and downloaded and reinstalled iTunes 6.0.1(3).
All to no avail. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas?
15 Aluminum PowerBook 1.67mhz Mac OS X (10.4.2)Hallelujah! Askjeevs nailed it! I am running W8.1 and just got an iPhone 6. Every time I tried to sync my 6 and restore it to the backup of my old 4S it would get through the 4 steps of the initial restore. I would get contacts, email accts, etc okay but as soon as it started step 5, copying Apps I would get this exact crash. My wife had no problem on her desktop restoring the phone. The difference was my iTunes library was stored on her desktop to save space on my laptop, and I was using my library through our home network.
After moving my library back to an external drive plugged directly into my laptop with a USB cable, and redirecting iTunes to use that library, voila! its syncing just fine!
Spent an hour on the phone with Apple this morning and they couldn't get me there. I found this while waiting for their callback but it took me several more hours to get it all configured properly. -
Firefox crashes after reboot of pc.
Hello, my firefox crashes every time when i turn on my pc and start the browswer. Then it works fine. But after reboot it does it again.
bp-c541ffc2-1eb3-4d34-97c4-334872140915This looks like it is crashing in an rpm file of your system, but there are also comments of others who have had also experienced this crash and they were looking at flash sites or their email. (not much else there) Are you also accessing a flash site?
If so, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in flash or check out to make sure the drivers are up to date: [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]] :
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
# Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
# Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
# Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
# Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know. -
Firefox crashes after trying to launch
So, ever since the first time I used Firefox, this is the only time it has ever been rendered unusable.
I upgraded my system and, when I tried to launch Firefox, all it can ever do is crash before being able to load anything at all.
I'm not sure what Firefox version it is because I only used apt-get upgrade, didn't monitor the upgrade, and was never able to check it but I think, it's 10.0.2. My system runs on Joli OS 1.2, by the way.
Anyone who can help me, please.
Right now, I am getting by with Google Chrome and I am not enjoying how I am unable to use those add-ons I've always had.May I suggest you look again at firefox crashes for instance it includes:<br/>

In the resulting folder will be a text file for each crash report you have submitted. Using the View menu, arrange them by date to find out which is the newest file; and double-click on it to open it.
[[Firefox crashes#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash]]_get-help-fixing-this-crash
N.B. use the selector button + <br/> so that you see the linux version from your XP<br/>
linux version link -> [[firefox crashes#os=linux]]
(You will then need to reset the mozilla cookies on your xp so that, by default, it goes to Windows versions of kb articles again in future)
