  • Firefox crashes when I try to upload photos onto a Snapfish site or when I'm in email I try to open or attach a document.

For a couple of months, I have had trouble with Firefox crashing anytime I am using Hotmail and I try to attach or open a document, or if I try to upload photos onto Snapfish.

In the address bar, type '''about:crashes'''<enter>.''' Note:''' If any reports do not
have '''BP''' in front of the numbers, click it and select '''Submit'''.
Using your mouse, '''mark''' the most '''resent 7 - 10''' crash reports, and

Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift><br> ''(Mac Options)'' ''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

  • Firefox crashes when I try to watch a movie type youtube, has just installed nero and Nikon software on my computer

Firefox crashes when I try to watch a movie type youtube, has just installed nero and Nikon software on my computer. This began shortly after I installed my new CD burner with Nero 9 burning software, about the same time I also installlerade my new Nikon camera software ViewNX2, I ran Avira scan and Microsoft Egan virus scan and they say everything is good in it, he reported a few times, I ran Avira scan of your computer and Microsoft's own Virus Scanning and they say everything is good in it, he reported a few times, tried again now and the sound is heard all the way but the image is still, therefore gentle freezes, got no number on the bug report so I can not say that. Also ask your pardon for errors in language that may be present but hope you understand anyway!

update your video card driver from the GPU maker's web site (not MS).
Possibly not as pertinent with a MacBook than with a Windows system...  Drivers normally come through Apple for Macs.
Likely Chris missed that you mentioned you're running OSX, Stephen, and this is the Windows-specific forum.  You might want to ask on the Macintosh-specific forum...   http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/photoshop_macintosh

  • Safari & FireFox  freeze when I try to upload a file from my hard drive.

Safari & FireFox freeze when I try to upload a file from my hard drive. This just started happening in the past couple of days. I haven't installed any software, or made any updates (that I can remember.) When the browser freezes I can't "force quit" them. I have to manually shut the computer down are restart it. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...
Safari and Firefox box.... it could be a problem with the hard drive itself, not your browsers.
Just to make sure, boot from your install disc, run Disk Utility to Verify and if necessary, Repair any errors Disk Utility reports.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
(In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first from the installer menu)
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*

  • Firefox crashes when i try to save or download

firefox crashes when i try to save or download and also if i try to go to option in tools

    Hey divyakarelia,
Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
There is also a lot of useful stuff in the [[Firefox crashes]] Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#w_firefox-crashes-when-i-start-it this article] as well.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Firefox crashes when I try to download a file

    Hi!
I run Firefox Nightly 8.0a1 (2011-07-08) on Arch Linux 64-bit with Gnome 3, and I'm having problem with crashes when I try to download files. This doesn't happen in the stable version of Firefox (5) which I also have installed on my computer.
It's possible to open the download manager as long as there are no entries in the download list. But if I start a download of something - the download manager opens with an entry (the current download) and Firefox disappears. It instantaneously vanishes from both the monitor and the process list.
I have tried to remove the downloads.sqlite file from my profile folder, but it didn't help.
I have also tried to rename my whole profile folder to something else, and then created a new, empty profile folder with the name the first one had. When I then started Firefox, it recreated all the default content to the profile folder, so I ended up with a clean, unmodified installation. But it still crashed when I tried to download files. So it doesn't seem to be a problem with the extensions or similar.
    Suggestions?

Downgrade to an older nightly that works for a week or so, then test again to see if the bug's still there. In the mean time, report the bug on Bugzilla if it hasn't already been. There's really nothing you can do about bugs in nightlies.
(A similar sort of bug that triggered 60 seconds after opening, every time, was what got me out of using nightlies as my main browser.)

  • Browsers crash when I try to upload anything

Anytime I try to upload anything onto my facebook, youtube, or filedropper account, with any browser, it crashes. All of my software is up-to-date and I've tried restarting my computer and the same thing happens. And when I try to upload photos to facebook via iPhoto, the pictures are uploaded...sorta. They appear all distorted like they got wet and were dragged across a canvas or something. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you have not already or recently, be sure to run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk Permissions+.
Did these actions work before as expected, when using this iMac with this system installation?
As a test to better isolate the cause, create a new admin user account in System Preferences Accounts pane.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
Log out and log in to your new account. Use the new account and try those things causing problems. Does it work properly in the new account?
If it does, the cause is likely to be something in your current user account. If it does not, the cause is to be something at the system level, or possibly hardware-related. In this case, it seems more likely to be software-related, at either the user or system level. Once you know that, it will be easier to do additional troubleshooting.
