Firefox crashes all the time, even in safe mode

Firefox keeps crashing, even in safe mode. I've tried updating my graphsic accelerator, disabling it; i've updated all extensions, windows and firefox.

That is a problem with "Constant Guard" from Comcast (PInvokeCalliWorker; bug 684748)

This just started a few days ago, when it updated to 33.0.

I have run a malware scan and it found nothing.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still crashes
I've tried to create a new profile, and profile manager won't start

The latest version of Firefox is currently 33.1.1 - can you try updating to the latest version then see if the crash still happens?

Firefox Crashes all the time

I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled removed all the plug ins I also made sure that I deleted the programs folder and everything. I even uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash and it is still crashing all the time.

Extensions
Problematic extensions may cause crashes. Start in Firefox Safe Mode and click "Continue in Safe Mode". This will help determine if an extension is causing the problem, since Safe Mode disables all extensions.
Note: If Firefox also crashes in Firefox Safe Mode, then an extension is not the problem and you should skip to the next section.
If Firefox no longer crashes when you run in Firefox Safe Mode, go to the Add-ons Manager Extensions list, click the Disable button for every extension, and restart Firefox normally. If the crashes no longer occur when you run Firefox in normal mode with all extensions disabled, one of your extensions was causing Firefox to crash. Try re-enabling them one at a time, to find the problem extension.
If disabling all extensions and restarting Firefox in normal mode doesn't resolve the crash problem:
In Firefox 4 and above, Firefox Safe Mode also disables hardware acceleration, so the problem could be a video device or driver issue (see below). Try unchecking the option to use hardware acceleration in Firefox ("Tools -> Options -> Advanced / General").
Firefox Safe Mode also disables the JavaScript JIT compiler. In Firefox 4 or above, try setting javascript.options.methodjit.* preferences to false in about:config ( see below).

Firefox crashes all the time. I have a hard time getting on my own site

Why is fire fox crashing all the time. I can't even get into my own web site, and when I do get in My plugins crash, but only on fire fox on EX it works fine. but I don't want to change, I would have to readjust my site of over 2000 pages, I have checked my plugins and they are all up to date, Can you fix this problem

I changed Java settings and now Firefox crashes as it opens, even in safe mode; how can I fix this?

I was trying to change settings to access the comments section of Slate.com. Right or wrong, I changed a Java setting from -1 to 2. The setting was in about:config and I believe it involved some sort of max. As I cannot open anything, I am not sure.
When I made the change, firefox crashed immediately, Every time I have tried to reopen, even in safe mode, it immediately crashes again and will not reopen.

Sorry you are having problems.
For future reference. Those of us that mess directly with about:config soon learn how to recover from mistakes and what it is sensible to backup. Occasionally backing up your entire profile for instance can be useful and would have probably given you a quick solution of copying over the file from that backup.

Ok on to the subject of trying to get Firefox back as it was:
Find your profile and the file ''prefs.js'' and rename that. (The renamed file is a potentially useful backup.) Firefox is then forced to regenerate the file and will reset your preferences to the default. You can then re open and use Firefox. Next try to get it back to normal.
Trying to manually edit the file ''prefs.js'' is normally a bad idea. However if it is a single pref change it may be possible to directly edit the prefs.js file (whilst Firefox is closed) to get everything back to how it was before . You have the renamed file to work with. Probably best to test all this out in a new additional profile then you only break additional test profiles not working profiles essential to Firefox.

ILifeMediaBrowser makes Safari and Firefox crash all the time

Hi, Safari keeps crashing on account of iLifeMediaBrowser (which I don't know what it is), and when I tried to switch to Firefox, it did the same.
What is iLifeMediaBrowser and why is it acting out on my computer today?

Hi there - sorry for the long delay in responding. I downloaded Camino and this worked fine for a couple of weeks. But then for no apparent reason this stopped working as well, just like Safari and Firefox I just got the spinning ball of death everytime I tried to open any of them. So I had a look at the Lbrary preferencies files that I have been reading about on this site. I deleted a few files and the Safari icons folder, then restarted the G5 and suddenly Safari for the first time in months kicked into life!!!! hurrrray!!! alson Camino began working again but curiously Fire fox still will not. Anyway I am really pleased. Thanks everybody for the help. If it happens again I have an idea now of what to do.

Firefox crashes all the time, adobe flash player is the cause. What's going on?

I've tried everything !!! All the solutions mentioned in the troubleshooting pages , to no avail.
I am ready to move on to another browser. Please help.

Me too But '''only with Firefox'''. It's a Firefox problem. Adobe flash works fine on IE Chrome and safari just not with Firefox for some reason.

Firefox crashes on start-up, even in safe mode

Back in March/April 2012, Firefox started crashing for me on start up, possibly after the automatic/remote installation of MS security patches. After that time, I've not been able to start Firefox without it going directly to the Mozilla Crash Reporter. I've tried everything I could think of including safe-mode, uninstall/re-install, uninstall/back-up profiles directory/wipe profiles and all registry entries/re-install. This continues to fail since version 11(?) through 13.0.1. Even Sea Monkey crashes same manner. BTW, clicking on the "Details" button in the Mozilla Crash Reporter has no effect for me. I was trying it to help fill in the Troubleshooting Information box below as I can't get to "Help > Troubleshooting Information" as Firefox doesn't start.

What was the location of the file?

Firefox crashes on start up. Crashes in safe mode as well. Tried steps on articles. Was watching adobe flash player when it crashed first time.

That one does not seem to give any useful info at present.
Malware is one common cause of crashes, and that may produce variable crash reports, it is probably worth doing full scans with multiple tools/software to try to rule out the possibility of malware.

Besides trying in safe mode did you also try disabling all plugins whilst in safe mode. (If it crashes before then, are you able to create a new profile and try that ? ) Also if crashing before about:crashes may be entered have you seen http://kb.mozillazine.org/Breakpad#Location_of_crash_reports

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Firefox crashes immediately upon opening, even in safe mode

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled twice. There's no add-ons or any extras whatsoever installed.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

Safari and Firefox Crashes all the time at launching

Here is the report, i reinstalled firefox and safari, firefox is working but very unstable, and safari still out of order
at launching i get a message : the problem may have been caused by the libfreetype.dylib plug-in.
but while searching in spotlight, no file with this name.
can anybody helpppp pleaseeeeee????
