Firefox crashes everytime I write a facebook post

I just updated to version 28 (the latest version). Every time I try to write a post for Facebook, Firefox freezes and I have to restart it. This is annoying and I can not find a solution to it. Please help or tell me how to downgrade to the previous version.

Are there any plugins being used (i.e. is there a Lego like button on the location bar)?
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

When I try to attach a photo from iphoto to facebook or gmail or anything firefox crashes everytime. This just started happening. I have the most updated version of firefox and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it also. It only happens with iphoto. Why does firefox crash everytime I use it

Every time I use firefox regardless of what site Im on, it crashes every single time, I do not understand why. I have automatic updates on my computer that update once a week. I had no problems what so ever until Tuesday July 11th, after my computer updated, now I cannot use firefox for any thing. Can you please help, this is very aggravating?

ANYONE WITH NORTON SOFTWARE
Someone has already mentioned Norton in this thread. Please note there is a known issue with some Norton software sometimes implicated in Firefox 24 crashes. Norton themselves are asking for more information.

Firefox crashes when I open my facebook account. But when someone else opens his/her account on my laptop, then the crash never happens..

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Firefox crashes everytime i use the Microsoft Money Sunset program

I have Microsoft Money and have had to update it the the Sunset version as Microsoft are no longer supporting it. However, everytime I am using it then Firefox crashes. I dont have this problem with internet explorer. I need to use both Money and either Firefox or IE at the same time when I check my banking online. I am on a laptop using Windows 7 and I have Avast antivirus the free version

Hi, my firefox crashes everytime I rightclick on a bookmark/bookmark toolbar. Is there a solution to this?

The bookmarks + history data are stored in the '''places.sqlite''' file in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder Firefox Profile Folder]. It may be corrupted. You can try deleting it after exiting Firefox. There is also a separate dated backup of the bookmarks in the '''bookmarks''' folder and you can restore the latest backup via '''Bookmarks''' ('''Alt''' + '''B''') > '''Show All Bookmarks''' > '''Import and Backup''' > '''Restore''' after restarting Firefox. After updating to 3.6.16 Firefox crashes everytime...report sent via Crash Reporter

Downloaded update 3.6.16 and right after install/restart, Firefox crashed and continued to do so everytime I tried to open Firefox. I shut down and restarted the laptop, tried Firefox in safe mode, reviewed the issue on Microsoft Explorer on Mozilla support and general internet query.
Went to about:crashes and could not get help.
I'm now three hours into it and really upset.

Firefox crashes everytime I try to open a new tab

Since today, Firefox crashes every time without fail if I open a new tab (either using keyboard shortcut or the new tab button). This more or less makes firefox unusable. I tried to reinstall but didnt work. I also attempted to disable all addons. I'm not sure if I have to uninstall a plugin?

Opening an link from another page does not result in a crash.

I'm not clear on where you are seeing that text. When I view Google's cached page from the page found in this search

It doesn't match yours exactly. There is an iframe with a Google map in it in the "Hosting Analysis" section, which in your pasted page seems to be the "Site Server" section.

Firefox crashes everytime I close a tab; the internet said it was a Norton Antivirus issue, but I contacted Norton and they are not the issue.

Every time I close a tab, Firefox crashes. These forums hinted that it was a Norton issue (and that it had been solved) so I contacted Norton. Spent 2 hrs on support with them, including them remotely controlling my computer. Norton is 100% updated, and the crashes happened EVEN WHEN WE DISABLED NORTON. So, it is NOT a Norton issue. What can I do? This is very frustrating and makes it impossible to continue to use Firefox.

so you might want to disable all norton addons in firefox > addons > extensions or upgrade to norton 2013...

Firefox crashes everytime my Battlefield 4 changes maps.

Firefox crashes every time my Battlefield 4 changes maps (one game ends and a new game begins). The game continues on its own but Battlelog crashes. Here is the link to the battlelog page

Why is firefox crashing everytime i open it.

everytime i open the browser now it crashes and I cant open in safemode either as it crashes. same with IE. I can only use Chrome.
