Firefox crashes frequently in Win7 64-bit.
Firefox version 20.0 was crashing frequently. I upgraded to V21.0 and crashes continue.
Crashes are:
- Infrequent and not consistent. Happen on text-based sites as well as sites that use Flash.
- Cannot be replicated.
I have scoured technical support sites and, based on their suggestions, I have done the following:
- Upgraded Flash, Shockwave, Adobe Air.
- Started in Safe Mode - crash occurred.
- Uninstalled Firefox completely using Revo Uninstaller and reinstalled.
- Removed AVG Free using AVG removal tool and reinstalled.
- Updated video driver for ATI Radeon HD4200 video card.

My Firefox crashes frequently, but I the system can not find the reports to send for analysis.
My Firefox crashes frequently, The system goes to the grayed screen and sits there until I try to close it, then it says "Firefox not responding" and I close the program. When I go to "about:crashes" it says the report was submitted, but I never get any feedback and when I try to retrieve the report to look at it, the system can never find it. This happens at least twice daily. It keeps searching for a while, then displays the gratituous "Oh Noes. The report could not be located" message. I've included the latest crash report address.

Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com -
Firefox crashes frequently while using facebook,youtube,etc
I am using firefox 30 and my firefox crashes frequently when i use facebook,while watching youtube videos,closing a high-loaded tabs,etc and also shows "plugin-container.exe has encountered a problem and must close." and another problem is that while watching youtube or using fb plug-container.exe and firefox.exe both uses about 500MB of my RAM and currently I have only 1.5GB RAM which makes pc working slower. I had recently disabled hardware acceleration but the crashing problem still there.

What is causing software "hangup" and inability to print with Firefox 20.0 on Win7-64 Bit for PC?
Just updated Firefox with Ver.20.0 on a PC running Win7-64 Bit. Since doing this, Firefox seems on occasion to be slow/unresponsive requiring multiple clicks on a button to perform function. More of an issue is the fact that frequently get a message that document will not print since there is no access to printer. After exiting Firefox and then trying to restart program, get a message that Firefox is still running and either shutdown or reboot computer (which does seem to work). Have the same issue with a second PC running WinXP. Printer works fine with other programs, ISPs, etc.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Firefox crashes frequently. Especially on upload of files to server.
I am running the current Ubuntu Firefox, it appeared to be downloaded from the standard repository. Upon upgrading to Firefox 10, Firefox began to crash frequently.
I have not been able to find a rhyme or reason to the crashes but I do know that Facebook and the ANGEL course software used at my college will cause it to fail most of the time.
On ANGEL the issue is nearly 100% repeatable when uploading files. Facebook and all other websites, it occurs randomly. I haven't been able to find a consistent reason.
I am running Bodhi Linux 1.3.0, an Ubuntu 10.04 derivative.You may find Ubuntu forums more useful if you are not running a nnonestandard version of Firefox, ( if you do find a solution elsewhere, a link would be appreciated). Note also at the moment there seem to be quite a few crashes of Firefox 10 being reported, they may even have suspended the automatic upgrading to Firefox 10.

Firefox crashes on startup Win7
As of today, firefox crashes upon launch, safemode or not.
I've tried launching with shift, crash.
I've tried launching with commandline: firefox -safe-mode
It will run with -ProfileManager. I created a brand new profile and launched with that one, crash.
Windows 7 x64, fully patched.
Recent scans done using a variety of virus, spyware, and malware products, including malware bytes, superantispyware, spybot, etc. No infections or malware found.

Firefox crashes frequently with signature "js_LineNumberToPC"
I'm getting frequent crashes of Firefox. The crash signature is "js_LineNumberToPC". I can't figure out an exact pattern as to when it's happening but I'm getting it multiple times a day primarily when using more robust web-based applications like salesforce.com, Drupal CMS, etc.

Firefox 11.0 32bit, Win7 64 bit, FP 11.2.202.233 64 bit install finishes, lists only 11.2.202.228
Hello---
I have Firefox 11.0 32 bit running under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1 with all current Windows updates.
I am trying to install Flash Player 64 bit Non-IE installer, version 11.2.202.233.
I close Firefox before installing, installation says it completes successfully, loads Firefox, says Flash Player is working.
I load Add-ons Manager, check installed version of Flash Player, it lists as:
11.2.202.228
Which is obviously the previous version.
I have tried this repeatedly, with exact same result.
I have also tried the links available on Filehippo.com,
on the off chance the Bootstrap Downloader was causing the problem.
The full Non-IE 64 bit install package yielded exact same results as described above.
I would like to complete the install of the new version properly but it doesn't appear to be working.
I have no Antivirus products installed, and I am allowing the Bootstrap Downloader through my Software Firewall,
download and install both register as 100% successful so Firewall is not the issue.

BTW, As indicated below, I see Firefox reporting the older version of Flash when I go to the Adobe test page. Where do you see this in Firefox Add-Ons Manager? I cannot see any listing for Flash anywhere in there. Can you please be more specific. Thank you.

Firefox 11 Not Reporting Correct Version of Flash v. 11.2.202.233

Today (April 14, 2012) I installed the new Adobe Flash v. 11.2.202.233 on four computers (several Mac and several PC/Windows).
Eveything went fine except that Firefox does not seem to have the new Flash on any of the Windows PC's (it worked fine on Mac). That is, when I go to the Adobe test page (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/), it is reporting that Firefox is using the immediately prior version 11.2.202.228. However, all other Windows browsers (e.g., Opera, IE, etc.) all report the correct version on that test page.
And I checked Windows Programs and Updates and it shows version 11.2.202.233 installed.
So, why is Firefox 11 showing the old version? Anyone have any ideas and hopefully a fix?

I've updated my windows 7 & drivers, problem is not fixed with reinstalling firefoxHi DonGately,
I installed memory fox & used the setting you recommended, so far firefox didn't crash like it used to.

I've set up a custom desktop for a relative, installed windows 7, firefox 24, etc. Since install FF has been crashing multiple times a day. I cleaned the registry, uninstalled, reinstalled, scanned for spyware/viruses downgraded to version 19 and though 19 seems more stable, it has still crashed in the last 24 hours.
The only crash report I have is from the downgraded version:

I have the latest version of Firefox and it freezes and crashes. I was wondering if the other versions of Firefox I have downloaded is causing this. Can I delete the previous versions without affecting the current one?

Firefox keeps on crashing when I am checking my email in comcast.net. Been going on for a few weeks now. Still not fixed. If not fixed soon I will stop using Firefox. Safari works fine on my Mac. Len Perry - [email protected] see below

But the Casual games window, that was coming up when I tried to open aol mail, went away after I uninstalled all versions of Firefox (including personal customization, addons and cookies) and did a clean install of Firefox.
