Firefox crashes on Arun DC site each time I wish to view planning drawings

On several occasions I have accessed the Arun DC website to view planning applications. Each time Firefox crashes when I view drawings.
I have to use Internet Explorer which responds with no problems either viewing or downloading.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
*<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Command+0 on Mac)

You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to 1.0 (current default value is -1.0) to restore the behavior of previous Firefox versions.

Use this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface.

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Firefox crashes on some web sites because of Shockwave Flash plug-in

I have the latest Firefox running on updated Windows Vista SP2. Each time I go to my Google+ site, FF opens it and then crashes. I have located the problem for this crash to the Adobe Flash plug-in. When I disable the Shockwave Flash plug-in, crashes would stop. The Shockwave plug-in is updated to the latest version, and I even re-installed it, which didn't help. I have similar crashes on some other sites during searches. It becomes rather frequent and irritating. Please suggest some options how to deal with that.

Thanks for reply. I do have the updated version of Trusteer Rapport. It is really interesting - I disable Shockwave Flash, and the crashes would stop. Then I would enable the Shockwave and stop the Rapport, the crashes would also stop. However, when they both are active - Firefox crashes all the time on Google+ web site. I do not have the same problem with Google Chrome and IE-9, only Firefox. I will try to ask Trusteer forums, but doubt that they would be able to offer something. It looks like Firefox specifically does not like something.

  • Firefox crashes when loading .fr site

Firefox now crashes each time I try to load a new tab and a site in that tab. This has only happened since the last auto update.
I have tried removing the firefox folder in my library, so a clean version of firefox loads, but if i try to go to the address from before, it crashes.
Not all sites cause a crash, but many of my bookmarked sites do.

It isn't just a font thing with me because I have my fonts set to allow pages to use their own fonts. I have the same problems but with additions, It seems mine wont ever remember the last page it was on when i start a new page and it crashes for no reason while running. What I want is to go back before the last update. It ran fine then. Is it possible to roll back Mozilla? I'll be asking in a new thread. I just wanted to let you all know it isn't necessarily just a font thing causing this .

  • I can't get Firefox to open a new tab each time I click on a link or favorite. It keeps loading onto the current tab.

I went to Tools>Options>Tabs and entered a check mark next to the first entry, "Open New Windows in a New Tab Instead" but it still does not open a new tab each time I click on a link or one of my favorites. It used to way back in earlier versions of Firefox but hasn't for the past few iterations...am I doing something wrong or do I need to activate something else within Firefox?

'''''"I went to Tools>Options>Tabs and entered a check mark next to the first entry, "Open New Windows in a New Tab Instead" but it still does not open a new tab each time I click on a link or one of my favorites."'''''
That option only controls pages that would open in a new window based on the code on the website page you are visiting.
Firefox's default is to open a link or a Bookmark in the currently selected tab.
You have some options to have links and/or Bookmarks open in a new tab:
*middle-click the link or Bookmark (middle-click = press the mouse scroll wheel)
    *CTRL+left-click the link or Bookmark
*right-click the link or Bookmark and choose "Open in New Tab"
*install one of the following and set the options to automatically open links or Bookmarks in a new tab:

**'''''Tab Utilities''''' (a few more options than the "Lite" version): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-utilities/

  • Firefox crashing 6.0.2, a dozen times or more a day even after starting in safe mode, disabling add-ons and going through all the guides on Firefox crashes

I've done 3 uninstalls, 2 of them all the way, one keeping the customizations. I have reinstalled each time. I've updated my plug-ins, restarted in safe mode with everything disabled (including plug-ins and add-ons) and am going nuts trying to figure out why Mozilla keeps crashing. It ALWAYS crashes on the Firefox add-on page, it sometimes crashes on Youtube and Facebook and rarely on google pages. I have ran MalwareBytes, SuperAnti-Spyware, Norton scans and Norton Power Eraser, they all say that I am clean, my computer is clean and the worse thing they can find are cookies.
    Please help. Thanks!!

  • Firefox crashes immediately on certain sites and after a minute otherwise. It was working fine yesterday...

For some reason, Firefox doesn't consider this a crash, so it didn't give me a crash report. Also, whenever this happens, a window pops up saying, "Firefox has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The annoying part is that the window appears to load correctly, but it freezes anyway. I'm using Vista and Firefox has been updated to the most recent version. Thank you for your help!

    Nuxar,
I don't know what you mean by VPN/Proxy? Where do I go to change this?
What I did do after reading your reply was I went to:
Tools>Options>Advanced>Connection Settings. I found the proxy @ "Use System Proxy Settings" and changed it to each of the following NO PRXY and AUTOMATIC PROXY SETTINGS. This didn't help me I kept getting the same crash error as at first. Each time I tried to change the proxy setting I found that when I went back to check that it had defaulted back to "Use System Settings"
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks Nuxar,

  • My Computer crashes (blue screen of death) each time I open adobe acrobat 9 pro

I sent the dump file to my IT person and below is response:
Both of your crash dump listings list the fault of your crashes as FNPLicensingService.exe  This is normally installed as part of an Adobe product (Reader,Photoshop, etc.) but it could also be part of someone else's product. (The code is actually written by FLEXnet Publisher and sold to other companies). Have you installed any new Adobe products?
If XP machine try START->RUN then SERVICES.MSC and enter. If Win7 do START then SERVICES.MSC and it should find it and click it to run it. When the Services windows open look down the list and see if its listed, if so then see if it is running. If its running it should have a highlight to stop it, stop it and see (1) what program quits running and (2) see if it starts automatically again (check it every so often through services.msc).
Should be something installed recently installed it or is conflicting with it
I have uninstalled all programs from the past month.  I tried to uninstall acrobat 9 and the computer crashed each time.  Any Ideas?

Let me known if, deleting photos from the iPhone camera, the problem disappears. I have this behaviour and I suspect it is a Iphone serious bug...

  • IWeb uploads entire site each time I publish

I have 3 sites in iWeb .. 2 are working fine, but one of them uploads ALL the files each time I publish ... There are no errors showing ... all ok .. but always shows a red page somewhere once published. If I click publish again, it uploads everything and takes over an hour because of the video and media ... any suggestions?

I have 4 sites that I am creating on iweb 08
You're posting in the 09 forum.
To accomplish what you want , you should consider doing this :
    Go to :
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/
where ~ is your Home drectory and duplicate the domain.Sites2 file as many times as neccesssary.
Give each file a descriptive name.
    1. Double-click a file to open it in iWeb.
    2. Delete the Sites you do not want, leaving the one you do want.
    3. Do Save and quit iWeb.
Repeat 1 to 3 with another file.
You can now edit and publish each Site without the others.
For your convenience, drag the folder to the dock. Next time click it and choose the file you want.
For even more convenience, skip the steps above and buy --iWeb-- iLife 09. Then you can publish the Site of your choice independent of the other Sites in the file.

  • Firefox crashes facebook, tumblr and youtube several times a day having to reset firefox atleast once a day

I will be surfing on the websites stated in the question and all of a sudden, the page will go all wonky and even if i refresh, close the window and reopen or even restart the computer it will still be unable to be used and it's like a plugin is missing and nothing can be clicked and its rendered unusable. It happens multiple times a day and the only fix is to reset firefox which gets really annoying after a while.

  • When I go thruFirefox to get to Ebay it works great but then if I place a bid on Ebay the Firefox crashes. This is the only time this happens.

I sign onto Ebay though the Mozilla Firefox and all goes well until I actually place a bid and confirm the bid. Then Firefox crashes and I have to start all over again. This is very annoying when I'm bidding on something.

Final Cut Express was discontinued about 18 months ago, before the release of Lion (10.7).  It is no longer a supported product and was never supported on Lion, nor on Mountain Lion.
While some FCE users have had success running FCE on Lion, many have reported problems including problems with chroma keying.   I do not recall any solution to the chroma keying problem, but you might try searching this Forum to see what others have discovered or tried.
Final Cut Pro X is the app supported on Lion & Mountain Lion, and the future direction Apple has taken.  Since your computer lab has already moved to Lion (10.7.5) and presumably will move to Mountain Lion in the future, you should begin the process of moving to Final Cut Pro X.  I appreciate there are implications for cost, training, inconvenience and re-doing lesson plans.  But technology moves on and at some point we need to move with it too.
