Firefox crashes on Coby MID7022 with Cortex-A8 proc (ARMv7 )

Firefox for mobile successfully installs on my MID7022, running android 2.3.3 gingerbread. When I try to start the app, it shows firefox logo with black background and then crashes back to home screen. I have read the reqs on https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android and my device clearly meets the hardware and os reqs which can be read at http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=10576&pcat_id=1013

when I start firefox my desktop starts flashing on and off and when it returns there are splotches missing color. firefox then either crashes or runs but with the colors muted and images distorted.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

Firefox crashes/closes on websites with flash

This started yesterday when I was prompted to download and install the 3.6.7 update for Firefox. After restarting the browser, I get a message that it was not installed correctly, and then it closes without warning. It does not give the usual message that there is a problem and Firefox needs to close.
After experimenting, I've noticed that this only seems to happen when trying to load websites that include Flash content. Gmail and Youtube cause it to crash immediately. Other websites, like Facebook and certain forums will load initially, but will crash on certain pages, where there is probably a flash video or other application.
I tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode, but I still get these crashes. When I go to about:crashes, I get no reports of the recent crashes.
I still can't update Firefox to latest version, so I still have 3.6.6. Every time I try, the installation fails. I do have the latest version of Flash.
I believe I've tried everything suggested in the Knowledgebase, so if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Open up computer case, unplug and take out the processor fan cooler and wipe out all the dust, speccially in the heatsink, with a soft little brush and compressed air spray (also check power supply fan). I discovered this solution after weeks of trying all software related recommended steps and nothing worked, adobe flash player was still crashing in firefox, chrome and opera even after completely uninstalling flash and installing latest version 10.2.152.26 of the plugin. I realized this was the problem when pc started to crash unexepectedly when not playing flash videos. So, EUREKA, that did the trick for me. Hope it does for you.

Firefox crashes after I open with a message, oops how embarassing, and asks which applicaiton to keep open or start new session. I opt for new session and it crashs

Firefox crash when change language with ctrl + shift how to fix it

I know that there is key combinations in firefox starting with ctrl + shift. I wonder how to disable this combinations instead of language change

It would be better to disable the Ctrl+Shift combination to rotate the installed languages and instead assign the specific key sequence (Alt/Ctrl+Shift+number) to select each keyboard layout to avoid such issues.

Firefox crashes on print request with "prop res DLL no loaded" - Why?

This only happens with the Lexmark (which works fine with older versions prior to 4. upgrade.
I can print with a Brother printer. Only happens with the Lexmark.
I am running XP.
The web site doesn't matter. I crashes whenever I request Print from the Bar or Menu.
I can't use 4. unless this is solved. How do I get the older version back?

I had the same problem with a Lexmark 1270 and solved the problem following the advice of char49, as follows:
goto c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\Lexmark_x1100_seriesf27b and copy lxbkprpr.dll to c:\windows\system32
The only difference to the above, with my printer, being that I selected: /Lexmark_1200_series8142 and copied the file: lxczprpr.dll
As there are so many printers in the Lexmark family, I would suggest that the first four or more characters represent the make and model and therefore one should find and copy the file containing: prpr.dll

Firefox crashes when printing file with Ctrl-P or after print preview

this latest version started crashing when doing e-mail prints. No dump files generated.

Hmm, it started happening again, and this time the suggestions above did not fix the problem. Last time, setting another printer as the default worked.
This time, changing the default printer didn't help. Neither did clicking the "reset Firefox" button.
I also tried shutting down and restarting the Minolta BizHub that I am trying to print to.
I can print fine to another printer.
It worked fine since June 24, my last post.

Firefox crashes on pages with Flash content

Well I just updated to a new version of Firefox (3.6.13) and I had Flash Player 10.1 installed. Every time I open any web site with Flash content, Firefox crashes. This happens with Yahoo Mail, CNN, New York Times, etc. So I disabled Flash temporarily, and my Yahoo Mail no longer crashed. Of course I can't watch any online videos now....
I tried uninstalling Flash Player 10.1 using the Adobe uninstaller, and then re-installing it. No go. I tried the beta 10.2... still crashed. Finally I found a version of Flash 9 for Mac on Adobe's web site, and that does indeed work. Of course it's an older version, but at least I can use Firefox. The bad news is that the plugin is used by Safari also.
Any ideas?

I tried something else for now, since I'm using Flash Player 9 on my main system hard drive at the moment....
I have a bootable 48GB SSD in my ExpressCard slot. I often use it since it's faster. It has the same configuration of Firefox 3.6.13 and FlashPlayer 10.1, but it seems to have no problems. I right clicked a Flash animation and the hardware acceleration in on. Now why would it work on my SSD drive, but not my main hard drive?

I have made sure that I have all the most recent plugins and extensions and I am not running any custom theme. I have completely un-installed and re-installed Firefox and flash to no avail. JYOuyang: I have the correct plugin for Flash. My problem is not the "Flash crashed" icon, which would be generally acceptable, but FIREFOX crashing, usually rather dramatically. I have since regressed to Firefor 3.6.3. I am still using Flash 10.1, the newest version. This no longer causes Firefox to crash. Now then -- if the same plugin causes no crashes in the new version of Firefox and does cause crashes in the prior version, it is not exactly a humongous leap to conclude that maybe, just maybe, there was a bug introduced in Firefox 3.6.4? I mean, it's not as if a major feature of 3.6.4 was a significant change in how plugins interact with the browser or anything... oh, wait, there was, wasn't there? Hmmm. Saying "It's Adobe's fault!" rings a little hollow when the 10.1 plugin works correctly in the prior version of Firefox. Any kind of host/plugin model relies on a contract between the host and the plugin, and when there's a crash, it indicates one side or the other broke that contract. Under the circumstances, it's difficult not to suspect the blame for this lies on the Firefox side. Firefox crashes once a day appears to be connected to npviewer. I must kill all npviewer processes after crashing before restarting firefox. What is this?

I am using linux, CentOS release 5.10, and firefox 24.8. This has been occurring for various release of firefox for the past 2 years. All of firefox crashes replacing the window with many small icons associated with npviewer processes. I cannot restart firefox until the npviewer processes are all killed. As I kill each npviewer process, a npviewer icon also dies. The number of npviewer icons varies.
I use gkrellrm to monitor the system bottle necks. Gkrellm indicates a sudden jump to 100% activity on eth0 at the time of the crash. The crash does not seem to be linked to a particular website.
I would appreciate any help?

Apparently, that file is a resource hog used with Flash. You could use plugins click-to-play to control plugins. The extension Click to Play Per Element can switch the control of plugins back to per item instead of per site.

ESET NOD 32 cannot scan past this point. I keep getting stuck at 56% at the following; C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\ Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\Pending. Is this a problem with NOD32 or with Firefox? Thank you.

I ran into a glitch on my system that I tried to fix myself. My NOD32 was always showing the yellow warning circle as my protection status when I started my computer. I tried to fix this every way I new how.

While using www.airset.com, within File App, I open a pdf file (which opens in a separate window, then close the separate window with the pdf fil ==> Firefox crashes consistently (with AirSet Connector Extension enabled). Crash does not occur if AirSet Connector is disabled. Gary

Greetings. Can you please tell me why a bookmark is not always saved in the chosen folder? Also, Firefox crashes shortly after opening, periodically. (Both of these problems have been happening with different versions for sometime now.)

The bookmark problem occurs when I am creating a bookmark. When it occurs, the page is saved to another folder that was recently accessed, and random other folders' names are changed to the same name as the folder where the new bookmark was incorrectly saved.
The browser crashes only shortly after I open it, and I am closing a tab.

Bookmarking with Ctrl+D will bookmark to previously chosen folder.
