Firefox crashes repeatedly when I bid on Ebay

1) Firefox crashes repeatedly every time I make a Bid on Ebay
2) Each time it crashes there is a crash report generated to Mozilla
3) Mozilla takes forever to load up as compared to Microsoft Explorer

I usually have 3-4 tabs open which I am saving to read later. But I loose them all the time when firefox crashes or when another appliaction opens firefox to download something and it will discard all my tabs. This is incredibly annoying, is there a way to save my tabs ? or get them back when there is no "restore session" button ?

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

  • Firefox crashes and when attempting to launch after the crash it won't and throw and error msg that js.3250 can't be found- but same file is in Mozilla directory. I must then download new 3.6.8 and lose all tabs.

    # Question
Firefox crashes and when attempting to launch after the crash it won't launch; throwing an error msg that " js.3250 can't be found" - but same file is in Mozilla directory.
I must then download new 3.6.8 and lose all tabs and history.

I have a similar problem. Recently my FF8 has been crashing a lot. It regularly locks up an entire core of my PC and often just shuts down. It has just done it a moment ago and when it started back up it did the whole "this is embarrassing" thing and asked me if I wanted to reload my tabs. I deselected the one that I was trying to view as I suspected that it may have been the cause (unlikely; it was node4.co.uk) but anyway, let's skip it just in case. Click on the button to restore and up pops my homepage only. So all of my other tabs, which I was using for work incidentally, are gone.
This is not the first time this has happened on FF8. It happened a lot recently on FF6 I think it was (so hard to keep track now, Mozilla) and I switched to Chrome as a result, but it turns out that it crashes even more than FF6 did. FF7 was a vast improvement but FF8 is so unstable/unpredictable for me at the moment that I think I'd rather use IE9 than this. It's driving me mental, clearly! I wish I could kill the process manually and have it retry restoring tabs. Hey, there's an idea Mozilla; give us a menu item that allows us to restore the session to how it started to try again or at the very least get a list of the pages we were looking at. They don't show up in Recently Closed Windows and the Restore Previous Session is greyed out too. Gah! Help!

Alright, well what I recommend doing is a fresh install of Firefox.

#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from [https://www.mozilla.org mozilla.org] (or choose the download for your operating system and language from [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ this page]) and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and click the close button [[Image:Close 29]]).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.

  • Firefox crashes when placing bid on ebay US, not ebay Canada

I'm using Firefox 3.5.12 in Windows 7. Everytime I confirm a bid in ebay, Firefox crashes. It does not do this if I place the bid through ebay.ca (Canadian ebay). The bid does get placed. I've included the last two crash IDs

Crashes the second I purchase on Ebay. When Firefox reopens, it brings me to the purchase page again making me think the transaction did not go through. Later I find out the transaction did go through.

This is all very confusing and frustrating. You recommended that I install the latest updates for:
    1. Shockwave Flash security (but do not tell me the number for the latest update)
    2. Java Plug-In version 1.6.0_07
    3. Flash version 10.0
However, you do not tell me how install these. I also woke up early so I could access your Chat service from 6:00 - 7:00 am Pacific time but it is not available. I have also not been able to find a contact phone number to get my problem resolved. I regularly purchase on ebay and have had this problem for all 3 purchases I made in the last week. I need to purchase several other items in the next few weeks before I leave the country for 2 months. I need to get this problem resolved immediately. If someone can call me, my phone number is 720-***-****.
    Thank you.

  • Firefox crashing repeatedly, usually when opening a webpage

For a few weeks now I've had problems with Firefox crashing on me. I did have version 6, I believe, but I downgraded to version 3 in the hopes that it would be more stable. I am still having the problem in 3 (I did try going back to 6 briefly, but the crashing happened again almost immediately). I've tried troubleshooting it myself, but I just don't know what is causing the crashes. I've updated all of my plugins. For me, the crashes happen most when I am going to a new webpage, either in the same or in a new tab. It seems that midway through the page loading, it triggers the crash. This happens in a diverse range of webpages, from Twitter to a Wordpress blog to the main page of Google. It usually will crash a few times in a row (I try to restore the session) and then stabilize again, but then will crash again a few hours later. The only thing to have changed recently that may be causing it is some firewall settings on my computer (I'm using Firefox on a work computer). If you could help me, I would really appreciate it.

Try to set the Flash plug to click-to-play by setting the permissions for Flash to "Ask To Activate" in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins".
That way you can activate the Flash plugin when you need it via the Lego block icon on the location bar.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Custom plugin crashes repeatedly when closing tabs

    Hello,
Our company has a custom plugin which we install onto firefox in order to connect to its API.
lately a customer complained that our plugin is crashing repeatedly. all i have to go on is this crash report for now:
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/ff38c405-4289-4b72-a82d-fd67a2141208#rawdump
    can anyone help with this?

The first crash reported seems to be crashing in visual studio. If you are using this to create a website, try a new profile to see it has to do with the interaction with your plugins. [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]] though if they are needed, this might not work. Disable the plugin [plugin PageHook Version:6.0.0.0 Filename:nppagehook.dll ] as this was reported as the culprit of the crash.
A bug has just been filed for this the second crash and will need further investigation. However it does look like it is crashing in the plugin operation. It is it possible, can you please try to disable you plugins to see if it crashes again.
Since this also happens when closing tabs and the first crash is hanging please see these steps to prevent hangs: [[Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix]]

  • Firefox crashes, then when restarts, it doesn't go to the page where it crashes. It is blank, so I have to reboot

Firefox is crashing but restarting to a blank page. I then have to start all over again. Information on the crash is sent to Firefox on the crash, but it doesn't explain why it is not reopening to the place where the crash occurred. I am not getting the message that sorry we can't open this window and that shows the open tabs that can be closed.
Recently upgraded to the 10.0.2 and this is when it started doing this.
The help information doesn't say why FF is not reopening.

    Hey Bridgette,
Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
There is also a lot of useful stuff in the [[Firefox crashes]] Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues this article] as well.
    Hopefully this helps!

    * It could be helpful if there is a diagnostic program/add-on which control all
    installed add-ons.
    * It could even be helpful If I can type/write more as 1500 characters in a

place the output of the 'terminal' (Sessionstore) in the same message.
    * It even shall be helpful if there is a list (like in the early days of the Windows-

    **: IA__gtk_clipboard_set_with_data: assertion `targets != NULL' failed;
Firefox: 10353 says me nothing, so..... there are errors enough, but the

  • The first time I try to load video on BBC website, firefox crashes. When I restart it, the video loads. This happens EVERY TIME I start a new internet session. WHY?

I am using a mac, and every time I turn it on, load the BBC website on firefox and then try to load a video there, firefox crashes. I select restart from the two options provided, and when it reloads the BBC page, I can watch that video and any other on the site without problems. Then, if I shut the mac down and turn it on again, the problem once again occurs. Is this just a bug in firefox?

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
