Firefox crashes upon opening, despite having tried all help suggestions and re-installing new version.

I have a MAC: 2006, but intel Core Duo; version 10.4.11
I have had some difficulties with my Firefox recently: crashing occasionally, not always loading a page on the first try, saved e-mails or passwords working off and on. I trashed my current version of Firefox (I was told by my tech guys to uninstall it and download a new version, but I couldn't find an uninstall package for mozilla, so I dragged it to the Trash) and I uninstalled flip4MAC, too. I tried to download version 4, but my system could not run it, so I downloaded 3. 16. 12 - it worked really great for a while, but then started to revert to its old problems and my tech guys said I might not have done a complete uninstall- I am a bit of a techno-peasant, so I may have not done it properly. In the meantime, I upgraded my Internet service with Bell and was going to download Snow Leopard- I have Tiger- to see if that helped, but after the upgrade, Mozilla won't even open at all; the window comes up with a tab that says "restore session" and it freezes immediately and then closes with a crash report and an icon in the apps bar called "Crash Reporter." I have copied the incident report and am including it with this email. Bell tech support says it is not their issue, it's mine, which I think is probably correct, but why did it completely crash after the upgrade?
I did go on Mozilla Firefox's website for support through Safari, and tried all the suggestions, but Safari's Mozilla Firefox only displays the search bar and not the address bar, so I used the tip to got ''library/,'' etc to get the crash i.d. I was able to get the i.d., but when I typed in the url with my crash id, I got an error message: File not Found. I tried it more than once, so I copied it from one of the reports sent to you guys and I only hope that you are able to use the crash info I submitted below (after Trouble shooting info).

I have one computer that crash every time I start Firefox. Ocassionally the firefox window will appear for less than a second and then the Crash Report Window shows up; most times it goes right to Crash Report Window. Then it is for some reason unable to send the crash repor; it keeps looping back to the crash report. I've checked my modem and router are operating correctly; I have another computer that's working fine. I've run scan for Trojans, viruses and still see the problem. I have a similar problem to the question of Ryan Vaught, (Firefox crashes upon open - won't send crash report; crash report info summarized below [MY] Firefox version: prior one to 3.6.7 Operating System: Windows XP Provessional). Mine is a bit different tho. Firefox seems to be crashing and my internet crashes right with it. When it does this, it also takes out some Win32 system .exe files. I too have ran AVG (Full Coverage /Purchased one) and then updated to Viper (Sunbelt Software) and it comes up clean of any viruses, etc. Once it crashes and I close Firefox, the crash report request comes up. When I hit send, it says it cannot be sent with no additional information as to why. I just updated Firefox to 3.6.7 and sure hope this helps, but it almost always happens when I am playing games that use flash. I can send a screenshot if you need it and feel free to edit my question if need be. I've checked my Viper settings and can get to all the websites so far trying to rule it out. Deleted my internet set up and then added it back as a new connection (hope that made sense), so I don't know who to be asking this question of, but hoping you may know the answer why I can't send the crash report. You didn't say what you've tried, but f the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

TS1440 A flashing question mark appeared when I started my MacBook Pro, I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked. How can I back up my current files so I can reinstall Mavericks?

I recently did a manual reboot after my MacBook Pro had frozen, and instead of the usual Apple and loading icon, it gave me the flashing question mark on a folder, which I've never encountered before. I looked up some possible reasons on my PC, and after reading that there's a problem with my HD I tried looking up how to back up my files so that I can do a clean reinstall of Yosemite (latest ver.). However, I've never used anything like Time Machine or anything else that could back up all my files, so it didn't sound like I could do anything about that at this point. I've also tried going into Disk Utility and attempting to repair the disk image. There was only 2 available, disk0 and the base system. I verified the base system, and told me there was nothing wrong (it didn't give me the option to repair anything either, on both available options). I don't think this is the right thing though, since my drive was called MacBook Pro HD. So basically this is the point I'm at now. Is there anything I can do that will repair my HD without erasing all my files?

Firefox crashes upon opening, and randomly - Windows XP.

What I'm experiencing is that FireFox crashes upon most start-ups. it also crashes randomly. Be it known, it has been doing this in safemode, too. It has been doing this before any plugins were installed, and it has been doing it since FireFox 12 or FireFox 13.
Oddly enough, my folder for where the crash reports SHOULD go is completely empty.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Tried all the suggsetions and still cannot see the remote disk in the finder window.

As noondaywitch says, "Ah! A remote optical drive, not a HD."
You need to download and install "Secrets"

It is a System Preferences addition and it will let you set thousands of under the table settings, including making your Macbook Pro beleive it should look for a networked CD/DVD drive, just like the Macbook Air.
WARNING: If you go crazy setting lots of extra stuff via Secrets, take careful notes so you can undo any damage you do, as it is unlikely anyone is going to guess you made changes via "Secrets"
Once you have installed Secrets, go to System Preferences -> Secrets -> Finder and set
Show remote disks 1 [X]
Show remote disks 2 [X]
You may need to restart the Finder before they take effect. Apple Menu -> Force Quit -> Finder -> Relaunch
As I am NOT in your situation, I cannot test this in advance, so please let us know if it works as suggested.
If that does not work, I did a Google search for "enable mac os x remote dvd" and came up with some alternate ways to enable this feature.

Always crashing. Now unable to open it. Tried all the suggestions.

Firefox has been crashing all last year. A fresh reload of windows7 and firefox has not solved the problem. Different anti-virus programs have found no malware. Different "Pup virus" detectors have found nothing. I have tried every suggestion in troubleshooting, but still crashing. Now I cannot open firefox. I think that a clever infection has stalled the browser permanently. Will have to change to another browser, for reliability.

If it is malware you have not yet successfully found and removed two things to bear in mind are that

So just switching browsers may not be much of a solution. My suggestions are as follows

# Then run scans again with multiple and fully up to date tools.

I've tried all listed suggestions, and Firefox still crashes or hangs. Help!

I have disabled add-ons, reset Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, checked my firewall, ran Malwarebytes antimalware, checked my Windows for updates, reviewed everything in the action center. In short, I have spent countless hours trying every suggestion I can find. This is recent, and disabling. There are no new programs or changes since Firefox last worked well.
Firefox will open, but when I click on anything at this point, even the firefox tab at the top of the page, it does not respond. The page will not respond to any clicks, no matter how long I wait. The program just hangs and never works again. The program will restore any open pages I may have had, but nothing will actually work if I click on it. Back to not responding.

Note that there are a lot of specialized malware detecting and cleanup programs and each of them have their own purpose and can detect other kinds of malware and spyware. 
There is no program that can detect and remove all malware (Norton and other payed software won't do this as well), so it is important to run a scan with more than one program. 
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a good program to start with, but may not be sufficient.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Hi,
There's a few things you can check. Try these things:
- Open Fontbook and check to see if you have any duplicate fonts highlighted (they will have a bullet point to the right of the name). If there are any, select them and then choose Edit menu > Resolve Duplicates. Retry Safari to see if it helps.
- If not, download and run [FontNuke|http://www.jamapi.com/pr/fn>. Retry Safari again
- Failing that, log into another user account to see if that is affected as well. If you don't have another account, you can use System Preferences > Accounts > \[+\] to create one.
- If it works in the other account, go back to your usual account and move any fonts in 'Hard drive > Users > Your Username > Library > Fonts' to your Desktop. Retry Safari again.
- If the other account crashes as well, move any recently added fonts in 'Hard drive > Library > Fonts' to your Desktop. Retry Safari again.

Both Firefox & IE crash even when I have disabeled plug-ins. I have installed new version of Firefox and problem continues. Seems to be related to Flash, but not sure. Firefox will stay open if I go to a page like Google. Also crashes in safe mode.

Both browsers seem to crash when the web page wants plug ins to access pages. Simple ones like Google's home page, or these for example, work fine. I have run several scans with security software, including Malware (latest database), and they don't find anything.

The problem began because my computer had to be sent in because it wouldnt turn on so i had to get it fixed they replaced the motherboard this was the second time the motherboard was replaced and once they did that my firefox hasnt worked the same. I can go on google chrome but thats not what i prefer to use.
& when i right click on firefox it says troubleshoot so im assuming its built in to my computer. im not sure.
I tried the profile manager to create a new profile and that has seemed to work so far. No crashing but it does freeze when i got to facebook and then i have to click ctr alt delete to open task manager to end firefox. It happened twice, the third time i went to google, then twitter and it didnt freeze. I then went to youtube and it froze. So Facebook and youtube make it freeze. Any idea why it does that?

TS1389 I've tried all four suggestions and the problem still persists. On one song only, iTunes still asks me to authorize my computer, and I don't know why. What can I do to make it stop and let me listen to my song?

The song is "Invictus" by Lamb Of God. Nothing has worked so far and it's a little frustating. :/

I'm having this same issue as well even though my PC is already authorized and after trying the 4 suggested fixes with an Audiotrack that I purchased today...Beth Moore - Esther Series - Session 2 - Part 4.
It's also not allowing me to put the track on my iPod even though other files on the same album go on just fine. It's giving me an error stating that it's an "invalid file format".

Firefox crashes upon opening

I don't know why, but Firefox is impossible to use lately. Whenever I open it up, if it opens at all, it closes almost immediately without any crash report or error message. This has only started happening within the past day or so, for no rhyme or reason. I haven't changed anything or done anything different recently that could have casued this problem. It also does this in safe mode, so it isn't an extension. What could be causing this?

I've been having problems with Firefox for about 2 weeks now. Just realized today that my computer freezing and crashing was related to firefox. I'm using IE now, which I try not to use EVER, but I don't have any other choice. My computer is impossible to use when Firefox is running.

That is a MS crash report and unfortunately doesn't give any useful information.
If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

Firefox Crashes Upon Open

I installed Firefox 3.6.3 yesterday and have been unable to load it. It brings up the Mozilla Crash Reporter immediately. I perused your forums and tried several different troubleshooting tips (such as deleting McAfee SiteAdvisor) but had no luck. Firefox has never worked for me. I desperately need the program to work, as it is the one compatible with a certain program I am trying to use (Celtx, a screenwriting tool). I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.

From what I see, there is a bug out for your crash signature which is
