Firefox crashes when signing out from the "New Improved Yahoo Mail"

I reluctantly switched to the New Improved Yahoo Mail yesterday, from Yahoo Classic, every time I sign out Firefox crashes and I get an error message. I have filled out the information and selected restart or quit, and another error message says that the report could not be submitted. I resisted converting to the new Yahoo, all their other upgrades did nothing for me.
Using Firefox on a Mac Book Pro, Hughes net satellite internet connection.

I have exactly the same issue. Reluctantly switched to New Yahoo Mail, downloaded latest firefox as of 13 Sep 2011 and every time I try and sign out of Yahoo it crashes. I'm also using a Mac Book Pro. Is there a fix yet?

  • Signing out from the Cloud?

In CC Preferences|Account here is an option to sign out from the Creative Cloud.  What happens?  Is it permanent? Does it restart upon re-boot?

You can sign out, and you can sign back in. If you stay signed out, it might be a problem when the Adobe bot comes by to check your subscription (not sure), so staying signed in is probably the best policy.
Signing out allows you to install the CC apps on a second computer. But I haven't tried that yet.

  • The New BT Yahoo Mail is terrible (email heading:"...

I received an email about a week ago asking me to upgrade from BT Yahoo Mail Beta to the newer version.  The title of the email was "We're Upgrading BT Yahoo!  Mail".  I was happy with the switch from Classic to Beta because it enabled me to use the chat function in the browser, which is great when I am not at my own computer.
I thought the new email set-up would be more of the same, but better, but it is SO TERRIBLE.  It looks like a cheap version of hotmail - I stopped using hotmail because it was such a depressing mess.  BT Yahoo! mail Beta was light-coloured and clutter free, so it was easy to see when I typed.  On the new version there are so many applications and menus that there is little space to actually VIEW the messages!    I'm not even thirty, don't need glasses and even I have trouble reading my messages now.
Also, sometimes ads bleed into my messages so I can't read them, and I can't close them down, so I have to close down the whole page and start again.  The messenger service, rather than being better, is worse.  Before if I was in both (messenger in BT Yahoo! mail and the messenger) you could only be in one at a time.  With this, I can be checking my email and chatting on the messenger and messages will also be popping up in my mail browser which is completely annoying.  Also, it keeps interfering with my messenger, minimising it while I'm still using it!  In the end I have to close down my emails if I want to chat to people.
The whole thing is completely counter-intuitive, and I cannot find basic instructions about how I can change back.
In the email that prompted me to change it said that "You can switch to BT Yahoo! Mail  Classic by clicking the link in the BT Yahoo! Mail options page" but there is no such option once you've already updated, it would seem.
I emailed to complain and ask to return to either Yahoo Beta or Classic (yes, i'd rather not be able to chat through my browser than continue to use this monstrosity) but got a response that instructed me on how to change back...from Beta to Classic!  I WISH I was on Beta.  Obviously the customer service agent had no idea of what version of yahoo I was on, so I emailed again.  I asked to be responded to by email, but because I inadvertently left my telephone number on my email signature they called me.  i screen calls from unknown numbers and when i checked my messages I was instructed to call them for them to help me.  NO WAY.  I've recently read comments from other dissatisfied customers and all they complain about is spending half a hour talking to Indians they don't understand.  And I refuse to have someone remotely access my computer to do something as simple as changing my mail settings.
Surely, there is a link I can click, or a set of instructions I can follow to do this myself?  I despair.
If you read this before upgrading DON'T UPGRADE.  Switch back to yahoo classic if you have to.
Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to get back to Beta or Classic without having to talk to anyone or let anyone raid the technological equivalent of my underwear drawer?

I to am trying to find out how to change back to Classic.  BT's helpline wasn't helpful.  I was told there is no option to go back.  I miss the rolling calender at the bottom of the page on Classic.  I never missed an apponitment.  Now the emails to remind me come to late to be helpful.  The new callender set up is awful, as the days when something is happening are never hiliighted.  So I have to flick through the month in order to find out in adavance if I have an appointment. So I don't double book.  I hope a BT Tech reads this.  There must be a way of going back to old reliable Classic email
In response to a question put to the Helpdesk I got a call today from a gentleman whose accent was hard for me to understand - I kept having to tell him to repeat himself- but the gist I got was that I would have to be patient, there are lots of problems with the new BT Yahoo Mail, but they hoped to have them ironed out by the end of the month
I asked if it was possible to switch back to the old Beta or Classic and he showed me how: you need sign out and then to change the screen resolution to 800x600 (which the new BTY Mail doesn't support) and then when you sign back in you will be given the option to revert back. When you then change your screen resolution back to how it was, the old BTY Mail remains. Just tried it and it works :-)

  • Restore My used Device without sign out from the previous ID

I bought a used iPad Mini  from one of the shops and i do not know the new way about restore without sign out from apple ID of someone else I make a restore for it so it is lucked now with unknown ID and I returned it to the show and advised me to contact you , now my ipad is lucked so I need your support please if you need any information about me I am ready & responsible for any thing .
    Best regards.

You've run into iOS 7's Activation Lock:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13695
Without finding out the credentials (Apple ID, password) of the previous owner, you cannot unlock nor activate the device for use under your own Apple ID. this is to prevent/deter theft of iPhones & iPads.
You need to contact the place of purchase to find out if they can contact the previous owner to have it removed from their Apple ID so it can be used by yourself. they can do it without having access to the device as outlined here:

  • How do sign out from my email on the iPad. I need to sign out from the mailbox that is opening up., How do sign out from my email on the iPad. I need to sign out from the mailbox that is opening up.

How do I owing out from the mailbox that is opening on the iPad.  Use gmail account. Need to sign out. I even went to the apple id website n changed the email n the ID as we'll as he password there but to no use. It will opens the earlier provided email account.

Not entirely sure what you want to do.
If you wabt to sign out of account in the Mail app, then it doesn't have the concept of signing out, if the account is enabled on the iPad then it is effectively always 'open'. If you want to view a different account that you've set up on the iPad then you can do so via the button at the top left of the Inbox to go up levels to a folder selection and then to account selection.
If you want to hide the account then see this work-around : https://discussions.apple.com/message/13127632?messageID=13127632
If you want to sign out of your iTunes account then you can tap on it in Settings > Store

  • Firefox crashes when trying to print with new hp 8500a printer

Is the HP Smart Web Printing extension installed in Firefox? <br />
orange Firefox button > Add-ons, then select Extensions <br />
If an extension by that name is there, disable it and see if that was causing Firefox to crash. Some users have reported a crashing problem related to that extension.
If not that, see this: <br />https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20crashes#w_getting-help-with-your-crash
Type '''about:crashes''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />

  • Why is firefox crashing my pc out of the blue?

I have a windows 8 Toshiba laptop. I've always used firefox for the past year since I got it, that's my choice of web-browsers but today something went wrong. I went open firefox and it crashed to the point where I couldn't even open the task manager to end the process. I had to shut the pc down improperly a number of times and turn back on to figure out that it only crashes when I attempt to open firefox.
I figured I would simply un-install Mozilla and re-install it and this problem would be fixed but that is not the case. When I tried to install firefox again, everything seems to go perfect up until it finishes the install and attempts to open the browser....and I'm back at the same problem......I have to literally shut off my computer because it crashes it.
I've tried all other programs on my PC and it seems to only be Mozilla that has this problem.

I was lucky enough to un-install firefox and stop having my pc crash. Everytime I tried to install it, it would finish and crash again leaving me without it even installed.
I could poke around in safemode but what would that really tell me? I've already installed a different web-browser.....considering I've probably lost all of my firefox bookmarks that I needed anyhow, easier to just start over.
    Thanks

  • Firefox crashes when any flash on the web.

Firefox freezes when the site is flash. After about 30 seconds to display the page without flash.
I tried reinstalling Firefox but to no avail. I reinstalled the flash, but also did not help. (I tried to uninstall the program.)

I don't even see your Flash plug-in the current version is 10.3.181.34
    * http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Watch out for crapware that may be offered along with Flash.
Fire Bug is problematic extension and should be disabled unless you are actively using it.
    Check your plug-ins http://www.mozilla.com/plugincheck/
Most of the bad bugs seem to have been removed from Flash, one problem though that might affect many is hardware acceleration, I turned it off through right-clicking in the adobe flash viewer and then through settings, but the option is in Firefox Tools > Options > Advanced > General, since mine is ''On'', the setting in Flash probably only applies to Flash.
Doubt that you would install a third party search , but
:KwiClick a search add-on and may interfere with Flash (Q836717)

  • Firefox crashes when browsing pics from my computer to upload to websites like facebook and blogger

When trying to upload pics from my computer to facebook or blogger, firefox will crash. It's sending error reports but I haven't heard anything back and the problem is ongoing. I recently upgraded to firefox 6 and am running Windows XP. It crashed when I am searching for a picture to upload, I never get far enough to begin uploading. I've walked through firefox trouble shooting and this is the "signature" I got mpvpxss2_imx.dll@0x50be
Firefox found 0 results for this problem. HELP!

take a look at the upload tool [http://www.clicktoapp.com clickto] clickto
with that one, it will perhaps work and is much more simple, by the way...

  • Firefox crashes when I click on the spell check function on a fanfic website

I tried to write a review for a fanfic on TTH and accidentally clicked the check spelling button on the page, I hit the X to close it and firefox promptly crashed.
I repeated it with random fic review pages on that site and got the same result.
I verified it on an identically configured firefox installation on a different computer.
no other website has elicited this reaction from firefox.

    Problematic plugins
Depending on your browser version and OS, Firefox may hang or crash because of a problematic plugin. Visit Mozilla's Plugin Check page (using another browser If Firefox crashes at startup) and update all outdated plugins to see if that resolves the problem.

  • I had the old version of Firefox, but when offered to download the new version of Firefox, I did so. After the download and the old version being gone, my system informs me that my computer is too old to support the new Firefox. Now I have no Firefox.

I just want the old version of Firefox back.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com
For the full system requirements see http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html
