Firefox crashes whenever I try to access Google Docs

Every time I try to access my documents in Google Drive, the following error message appears and then Firefox crashes:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: https://docs.google.com/static/document/client/js/3813695421-kix_main_i18n_kix_core.js:405
I have a PC, Windows 7.
I'd really appreciate some help! Thanks in advance.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Reset all settings

Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

  • ITunes crashes whenever I try to access the store?

I have Windows 7 and the latest version of iTunes. Upon startup, iTunes prompts me to sign in twice, and closing the first prompt will only have the second one brought up seconds later. Signing in has the same effect. This is annoying, but not the important part.
The important part is that whenever I try to access to iTunes Store, signed in or not, iTunes crashes.
These are the Problem Details from my Control Panel's Action Center.

    Thank you for any help.

I'm sorry, but it still doesn't work. I deleted all Apple software off my computer and redownleaded the latest version of iTunes, but when I tried to sign in I still got this error:

Like I said in the title, everytime I try to access the iTunes Store a pop-up shows up, saying "iTunes has stopped working". Then there are two options underneath:

I am on a Windows 7 Gateway laptop with Intel Premium. This problem started a couple days ago, just after I finally gave in to go from my version 10 iTunes to the "new and improved" version 11 iTunes. The version 10 worked like a dream, no worries, very quick. Now, all I can do is use my iTunes library. If I just wanted a library I would be using Windows Media Player (jk, iTunes is better). Anyway, my point is, right after installing the new version of iTunes, this problem began. I've looked all through the Apple Support Pages, and tried a couple of things recommended, but nothing's worked so far. If anyone has a clue on what I can do, help would be very much appreciated. Also, if your suggestions don't involve downloading anything, that would be wonderful. Nevertheless, if they do, that's still okay. I'm desperate at this point, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I logged on as an administrator and deleted iTunes files. I then redownloaded the file as an administrator and the Store is working smoothly again!

  • Firefox crashes whenever I try to open a link from Facebook? I need somebody involved in the upgrade to help me, I don't want to go to a forum and post a question to a load of people when I have no idea if they are qualified to give me advice!

I updated Firefox to the latest release on 1/8/12. Now every time I click on a link to go to youtube, zynga or other links on Facebook, Firefox crashes. I would love to be able to go back to the Firefox I had before 1/8/12, but I cannot find out how to do that. I have almost zero knowledge of computer software and how it all works, the "error reports" and the mumbo=jumbo that people talk about on the "forums" mean nothing to me, I just want an edition of Firefox that works so I don't have to go back to using IE8.

I'm sorry, but simply posting links to pages full of technical information will do nothing to help me. For example, I have no idea what safe mode is, or how to achieve it. I need step-by-step instructions in the form of "an idiots guide to"......

  • Firefox crashes when I try to access the 'tools/Add-on menu'

I am trying to determine which add-on causes firefox to crash.
When I click on 'Tools', then "add-on', it crashes every time. What can I do to find out which add-on is faulty?

To check to see if an add-on is the culprit, follow the procedure in the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.
Something else you can try, open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see the [[profiles]] article. Now close Firefox and delete extensions.cache, extensions.rdf and extensions.ini, when you re-start Firefox those files will be rebuilt. This may help if one of those files is corrupt.

  • Firefox crashes whenever I try to attach a file in Gmail

I've tried updating flash, resetting everything, etc. Every time I try to attach a document in a Gmail message the browser crashes and I have to Force Quit.

Ok two things based on the crash report and the steps you took right before the crash:
    # Try to disable scrolling acceleration and restart Firefox. Does it continue to crash?
    # Try Safe Mode and do the same task as above with email and the pdf [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
    # Also pdf.js may be helpful to read pdfs in the meantime. You can change the default reader in the Preferences/Options > Application menu of Firefox.
    # Try to clear out the downloads folder and update flash to version 14 (that should do it)
IF it crashes again please also provide the new crash signatures and we can take a look :-) Sorry for the crashing :-(

  • Firefox crashes whenever I try to start it

Yesterday I went into the Apple store to address another issue I was having with my MacBook Pro. After getting that resolved, I found today that when I went to use my Firebox browser, it kept thinking it had to recover a past website that I had gone to, which I no longer wanted it to recover anyway. I told it not to, and it went to the regular homepage. I then noticed that Zotero, an extension for Firefox, was not working on my computer, either, and it said something about a script running. When I did some looking around online and decided to download some Firefox updates, it then crashed and will not open. I've tried calling Apple, and they don't know what to do. I also tried uninstalling Firefox and installing it again, and that doesn't work, either.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
    See:

  • Whenever I try to access Google or Facebook I get a box with Chinese ? characters and another line of the same. ?

    This is what I get:
    您的网站未备案或为添加白名单
    此页面由傲盾防火墙自动生成
The first line appears in a small yellow box with the other line in the body of the page. No other characters, although several of the characters are "highlighted" like they were a link

I am not a Vista user. I am assuming the icons have changed to a firefox icon because you or; some application or other user; have set the default option for those file types to open with firefox.
You will be able to change that in your registry settings but it is far safer to use some other option. I am not sure how to do that in Vista.
RealPlayer.exe is an executable file, that is it is an application presumably a media player, if you try to open it with firefox; whicjch is what happens if you click its firefox icon; it will just give you the options to open or save the file. If you use the open option it may work as intended.

  • Firefox crashes whenever I try to upload an image to the web.

For the past week, I've been trying to upload images to various sites, including Facebook and deviantART. Each time, Firefox stops responding, and then crashes. I have updated to 3.6.13, so it's not an outdated server. Any ideas?

Can anyone please help me? At this point I'm ready to just give up and use internet explorer. I don't understand why this is happening.

  • Firefox 3.6.23 crashes whenever I try to do a Google search. I have Windows 7 as my OS. What can I do?

Firefox 3.6.23 crashes whenever I try to do a Google search. I have Windows 7 as my OS. What can I do?
Error reports have been sent to Mozilla when system has crashed.

I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.5 - and exactly the same problem. It seemed to start with Firefox 3.6.12 and 'latest' Flash upgrade (both done at the same time). Ive tried going back to the previous versions, but makes no difference.
Seems to be on 'auto-play' news video clips within the BBC news website, the loading info is 'stats.bbc.co.uk' as the dots spin - then crash...
Very annoying - is anybody looking at this Mozilla?

  • I get a security warning whenever I try to access anything

I get a security warning whenever I try to access anything - even a Google search. Just started within the last few days and I haven't updated or anything like that. If I click "Continue", I can then proceed - but it's annoying.
Can't see anything to turn off that might help.
    Any ideas ?
I'm using Firefox 25 and I don't want to update as I will loose some addons I want to keep.
    Regards,
    Robert.

For freecorder, you need to update to freecorder 8 (http://www.freecorder.com/)
You also need to update wondershare, http://www.wondershare.com/convert-video-audio/firefox-youtube-downloader.html
You have a lot of add-ons that all do one thing (download youtube videos) maybe try to condense to just one that works really well?

My "Hanging with Friends" app keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app, restarted my iPhone, and even restored my iPhone all together, and nothing is working. How can I get this app to work again?

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Contacts crash when I try to access old smart lists

I have multiple smart lists in Contacts that are hold-overs from Address Book.  Whenever I try to access them (click on them in the left bar), the program crashes.  I cannot even delete them, because simply highlighting them (even using the keys to cycle down to them) causes the crash.  Is anyone else experiencing this?
This is doubly disappointing because I hoped in Mountain Lion they would have fixed the smart list problems from Address Book.  I sought to make a list of contacts that were not in other lists, and this smart list structure never worked properly.  I had long conversations with their support people who acknowledged this was a problem that they would have to solve.  It appears they did not.
Is there a way for me to delete smart lists that are in Contacts without actually accessing Contacts?

I am having a similar problem, related to Contacts, not with old but with brand new Smart Groups.
This morning, I tried to add a Smart Group using the OSX 10.8.2 Contacts app, but upon hitting OK, the program froze.
Your suggested list of steps to remove the offending smartlist begins by exporting the contacts to a separate file. Since, at the moment, the contacts app is unable to load without freezing immediately, the option of exporting the contacts to a file is not available.
How bout the simple solution of having a program that works?  If I create a smart group it should just work!  Not cause the freezing of the app!  OK now having said that.  Any suggestions for how to either use Smart Groups or Eliminate them (perhaps using third party apps to clean up the Smart Group mess?).
    Thanks
