Firefox crashing on my MacBook?
For some reason after about half an hour of using Firefox, it will stop fully loading pages. I have to keep hitting refresh multiple times to finally get a page to display everything in the correct format, and then when I click on another link, Firefox wont fully load that page.
I tried reinstalling it, and upgrading to Firefox 3 (which is amazing), but that didn't seem to work. The only temporary solution I can find is restarting my computer. Should I completely delete it from my computer and then reinstall?

I cannot open Firefox anymore on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open Firefox, the start page appears during 7 seconds and then Firefox closes and opens a crash report. During these 7 seconds I can't use any button in Firefox. I deleted everything From firefox and Mozilla in my library and in my cache. After I did a reinstall from Firefox. But the problem keeps on existing.

I updated to the most recent form of Firefox and that didn't work. Then I restarted in safe mode, that didn't work. What else should I try?
Hello graceajaen, you can provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box. (Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the ID's. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like)

Why does Firefox crash every time I try to print?
I am running Firefox 31.0 on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.7.5. I was having issues with mysterious add-ons that added new buttons to the toolbar on both Firefox and Safari. I un-installed Firefox and the Firefox settings folder, then re-installed Firefox from an earlier version (18.0) which automatically updates to the latest version.
Every time I try to print any page on any website, the Print dialog box appears but Firefox crashes as soon as I click the "Print" (OK) or "Cancel" button.
I have tried running Firefox in Safe Mode, but the problem recurs. I tried resetting Firefox, but the problem recurs. I tried resetting Firefox's print settings, but there were no "print_printer" or "print.print_printer" settings in about:config and no lines beginning with "print_" in the prefs.js file. I un-installed and re-installed Firefox after deleting the Firefox settings folder, and still the problem recurs.

Firefox crashes after Flash videos play with black screen
Whenever I'm playing a video with Flash, the screen is black although the sound is playing. Then Firefox is crashing.
I'm using the newest Firefox Version (28.0) on Mac OS 10.9.2 (newer Macbook Air) and the newest Flash version. I tried Safe mode and deactivated my plug-ins to make sure it's Flash.
I re-installed Flash and installed but it didn't help.

Firefox crashes on pages with Flash content
MacOS 10.6.5 on a 2008 MacBook Pro
Firefox 3.6.13
See below for Flash Player version info
Well I just updated to a new version of Firefox (3.6.13) and I had Flash Player 10.1 installed. Every time I open any web site with Flash content, Firefox crashes. This happens with Yahoo Mail, CNN, New York Times, etc. So I disabled Flash temporarily, and my Yahoo Mail no longer crashed. Of course I can't watch any online videos now....
I tried uninstalling Flash Player 10.1 using the Adobe uninstaller, and then re-installing it. No go. I tried the beta 10.2... still crashed. Finally I found a version of Flash 9 for Mac on Adobe's web site, and that does indeed work. Of course it's an older version, but at least I can use Firefox. The bad news is that the plugin is used by Safari also.
Any ideas?I tried something else for now, since I'm using Flash Player 9 on my main system hard drive at the moment....
I have a bootable 48GB SSD in my ExpressCard slot. I often use it since it's faster. It has the same configuration of Firefox 3.6.13 and FlashPlayer 10.1, but it seems to have no problems. I right clicked a Flash animation and the hardware acceleration in on. Now why would it work on my SSD drive, but not my main hard drive? -

My Firefox crashes several times a day. I get update notices and try to update but the updates never load. I have a new MacBook Pro with no other issues. I have even tried deleting my Firefox and downloading a new ap. This is not working. I have been using Firefox since its inception and prefer it to Safari, but I am about to give up.
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded

Firefox crashes when uploading/downloading files from/to 'desktop folder'
Hello
I'm hoping, that you can help me!
I'm using Firefox 28.0 on MacBook Pro Mavericks 10.9.2
Firefox crashes/freezes when I try to upload/download files from/to my 'desktop folder'.
I't only happens, when I use this folder. Download to 'download folder' or any other folder works fine.
Download to 'desktop folder' when using Safari also works fine.
I't only happens when desktop and firefox tries to communicate.
It's very annoying when I accidentally forget, that the bugs is there, and I have to force quit and start all over again. And sometimes I don't even have a choice, because 'desktop' randomly opens as default folder, when I try to upload things.
Thank you so much in advance!
Kind regards ElizabethHi ESwan,
I am not a Mac user so not the best person to attempt to assist but here goes.
I am presuming that info such as
PID: 1695 Event: cpu usage (microstackshots only)
Relate to the Mac OS X crash & event logging and reporting.
What we need are the ones that Firefox itself generates and submits for processing by Mozilla Firefox

From what you say the crashes occur after a certain action and I am hoping that you will be able to use the easy method as in the article linked above. Navigate to about:crashes by keying ''about:crashes'' into the address bar. You are loolking for the ones starting wth ''bp-'' Paste two or three of those into your next post. Include the bp- part but not any link information before that. After they are pasted into the forum the forum software changed them to be links. -
I’m currently running Firefox 18.0.1 on a 13” 2011 MacBook Pro 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8GB or RAM that is running OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. I have been living with this problem for over a year and this same computer has had this problem while running OS X 10.7 and I think even 10.6. The problem also existed with earlier versions of Firefox including versions 17, 16, and possibly 15, it’s been so long I can’t remember.
The problem is that Firefox crashes (or something within Firefox crashes) and the screen “goes white” and by that I mean all the graphics and layout of a page like YouTube disappears and even though the links are there, none of them work. The page is just made up of text and broken links. Reloading the page does nothing so I have to close Firefox and restart it. (No reboot) On relaunch everything is back to normal and may last a few minutes, or it may crash again right away. Generally if I launch Firefox and use it and then go use some other programs, when I come back to Firefox it will then crash. Is this a Java problem? Is this a javascript problem? I really don’t know what it is but it has persisted through several operating systems and different versions of Firefox running on different operating systems. I’m stumped and can’t find anyone who’s ever seen this problem. Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
I should add that this problem is present on ALL webpages, not just one or a few. Safari works fine on the same machine and visiting the same websites. I have screen caps of the crashed pages but I don't know how to post them here. Please type about:crashes in the URL bar and provide us with the latest crash ids. Please do not make a screenshot but instead copy and paste. Thanks!

Although this might be difficult if the video is crashing before you were able to access the settings menu.
