Firefox crshed after downloading latest version. Cannot open Firefox8 either

After downloading FF9, it crashed. I reported the problem, but have not heard. FF 8 is still listed but I cannot open it. All I have is the FF icon on my desktop and clicking on it does nothing. How do I get FF back?Every time I try to open it, I get the same message"sorry FF crashed>>>>"

Right-click on the Firefox toolbar and select Menu Bar to show the menu bar.
Can you describe further the reloading issue please?

    EDIT:
    Steps
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
After verifying that iTunes is completely uninstalled, restart your computer and then download and install the latest version of iTunes.
If the issue you are troubleshooting is not resolved after following these steps, it is not necessary to remove and reinstall iTunes multiple times. Instead, you may find helpful information on the iTunes Support page, such as troubleshooting steps related to specific alert messages.
**try these steps, make sure you remove all components of itunes that it says and in that order specifically.
there are several other steps to try to solve the issue, but this is typically going to be the best option.

  • After downloading ios7 I cannot open any games

After downloading ios7 I cannot open any games. Help!

You may want to take a look at the restrictions section. Go to the settings app and pick general, restrictions. If that doesn't work
    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • HT201210 After downloading latest version of iTunes it will not open.  This error message is displayed;  The program can't star because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.  Then a second error box

After iTunes requested that I download latest version on PC it now will not open.  2 error messages appear.  first:  The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.  second:  iTunes was not installed correctly please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126).  I have tried reinstalling a number of times and restarting computer but no luck.

This happened to me today as well post installing the latest version of itunes.   I did a search on google for the error and came across a recommendation to :
Note: Start Windows in Safe Mode to complete any of the following steps if you're unable to access Windows normally due to the msvcr80.dll error.
If, and only if, you're receiving the msvcr80.dll is missing error when you open Apple iTunes, do the following: (skip this step if your msvcr80.dll error is occurring with a different program)
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs in this order: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, and finally Apple Application Support. If you have iCloud, remove it as well.
Uninstalling these programs in Windows is done from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Note: Songs and playlists in iTunes will not be removed when you uninstall the iTunes program or any of the other, already-mentioned Apple programs. If you'd still like to back them up, they're usually located in the My Music folder in Windows.
Download the latest version of iTunes from Appleand note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator. If you're not sure how to do that, see How Do I Open an Elevated Command Prompt? for help. That procedure shows you how to open the Command Prompt program as an administrator, but the steps are essentially the same for anything, including the iTunes installation package you just downloaded.
A general overview of removing and reinstalling iTunes can also be found here on Apple's site but the above procedure seems to work better in this particular situation.

  • Problem opening iTunes after downloading latest version

I have got windows vista. Been using iTunes for awhile, but after downloading the latest version of iTunes the other day, I'm unable to open it up. A box pops up with this message: "The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer versions of iTunes."
Anyone know what I should do?
    thanks, david

I live way out in the bush
I thought it was only New Zealanders and Australians who used that expression.
If you did the install "on-line" using the website-download-location, then the iTunesSetup.exe doesn't necessarily show up on the PC in any obvious places ... although you might be able to track down a copy in your Temp directory or your Temporary Internet files. If you did the update using Apple Software Update for Windows, ASU doesn't download the iTunesSetup.exe. Rather, it downloads the different components from the installer as seperate .msi files (iTunes.msi, QuickTime.msi, AppleApplicationSupport.msi and so on). You might find some of those in your ASU Downloaded Applications folder. (Launch ASU, and go "Tools > Open Downloaded Updates folder" to check for those.)
But probably best to get an iTunesSetup.exe from in town, I think ... the one in the Temp directory or the .msi files might be a bit damaged (one possible cause of the trouble with the earlier install. So usually it's safest to use a fresh one with this particular error message.

  • Spinning Beachball after downloading latest version

Ever since downloading the latest version of iPhoto last week, after I'm editing a photo in full screen and I click on the "X" to exit full screen, instead of exiting I get a never-ending spinning beachball. All I can do at this point is force quit. After reopening iPhoto, I find that my editing changes were somehow saved to the thumbnail of the photo I was editing, but when I click on the thumbnail to expand it, the previous non-edited photo appears. What could be going on?

    First to the spinning beachball:
Try delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    As to the other issue:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Downloaded latest and cannot open itunes.MSVCR8.dll is missin. How do I get it Back?

can't open itunes following download.  message tells me MSVCR80.dll is missing.  How do I get it back?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:

  • After downloading latest version, keep getting error message "The iTunes Library .itl file cannont be found or created"? The file never moved from My Music. Repeated attempts to restore previous version result in same message. Help!!

    Help!!

    Hello Whit1erj,
It sounds like you are not able to access your iTunes library.  With the error message you are receiving, you will want to first locate the iTunes Library.itl file.  These are the default locations for this file on a Windows computer, but if you dont find them here, you may need to search for the file:
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
    Windows Vista: C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
    Windows 7: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\
    Windows 8: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\
You can find the full article about iTunes file locations here:
Where are my iTunes files located?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1391
Once you locate the iTunes Library.itl file, you can make iTunes point to it using these steps:
Steps to create or choose a different iTunes Library file
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
You should see one of the following screens:
Then you can select Choose Library and navigate to the location of the iTunes Library.itl file.  You can find the full article here:
