Firefox deleted my downloads can they be restored?
I run Firefox 28.1.0 latest version. my tablet is a nook HD + software 2.20 I accidentally delete and yes on the downloads page. It was a complete accident. I have a neuromuscular problem. Is there any way to fix it?

Apart from this once you deleted directly from firefox download menu,you can't get back .
Uding any 3rd party like 'undeleter' might solve your problem

How were you syncing contacts? If you still had the iPhone 4 connected and the 6 at the same time, then you may have made a fatal mistake. I'm guessing that you were using a cloud service for your contacts?

If contacts are deleted on iphone 4s during an update ... can they be restored? and if so where are the stored now?
If they are no longer on icloud.com you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup by following this: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.

I have no idea what has happened to my bookmarks. The computer was turned On so that I could have it run its normal virus scan which was clean. The unit was powered off for several hours and after I start up the computer to do some work I tried to look up a reference in my bookmarks and they were all gone. Can they be restored?

I recently moved all my photos from iphoto to Aperture. I had several iphoto books and cards in my project file. When everything was moved to Aperture I can't find any of the books or card projects. Are they gone or can they be restored?
1 - without specifics I have no idea how to help
2 - the question was "are you trying to use them in iPhoto? " - it sounds like you are - to do so you will have to export them from Aperature and import into iPhoto
3 - for information on how to use them in Aperature then you need to ask about how to use Aperature in the Aperature forum as it does not involve iPhoto

II never use tabs at a desktop. Tabs in desktop Firefox are obstructive. Can they be eliminated? ever?
There seems to be a jackboot coercion to eliminate a multi-window view in Firefox to the point where, in the current iteration, there is a permanent single space wasting tab in the header.
Like many I have many programs open, spreadsheets, text and graphic editors, sometimes 2 or more browsers.
ALL are easy to find on the task bar until they are obscured by tabs.
I followed the gravitational pull toward tabs for mobile use.
There they can be justified.
They are counterproductive in desktop usage.
Even the developers tab-killers have been eliminated.
Do we all have to accept tabs like GMOs and fluoride?

For you less experienced home users with just one PC I will explain again.
There is a client base that prefers windows to tabs for business reasons, regardless of OS, and purely for ergonomics.
With several programs open, spreadsheets, graphic displays, sometimes 2 or more browsers, ALL are easy to find on the task bar until they are obscured by a browser with tabs open in one stack.
I see tabs as a current fad, useful for small screens on low res phones.
Tabs in apps on mobile devices is just fine.
There we use a finger or stylus.
On desktops, we use a mouse.
Current smartphones and tablets, have comparable resolution and utility to desktops.
They just lack power. That will change.
Firefox is the preeminent browser.
It is a mainstay of Linux and Linux appliances.
To push it toward "tabs only" as if just for phones is a mistake.
When MS Windows 8 is used in business it is used always in desktop mode, and with a mouse, not panes.
That's why business rejected it when released.
When the mouse disappears, tabs may become useful on desktops.
For now the mouse is here to stay, and so should the windowed browser.
As much as I dislike Internet Explorer, it has a simple "no tabs" option.
So should Firefox. -
upon updating my ipad to ios7.0.2 all of the go pro black videos show as gray and when you click on them they come up first frame but will not play. can they be restored or are they lost. they played perfectly in both i movie and camera role before upgrade.

The files that I'm trying to burn come from eMusic, and they are formatted mp3. Recently, (after the iTunes update to 9.2.3?,) they would not drag and drop from iTunes into Toast. From several different discussions I've tried working around this by dragging to the desktop first then dragging and dropping to Toast, going to Toast from a programmer's homemade help window, " iToons," and today, after talking with Apple support, going directly to Toast from my eMusic folder. Alas, all recordings do not perform like they use to. Sometimes they play and sometimes not. There is one I managed, that is listenable, but sometimes I have to put it in my car stereo over and over again as it gets ejected with an error code, sometimes, finally it takes it... Some of the recordings on other disks I've burned are not clean - they have white-noise sounds creeping in... I use to have none of these problems. One time as I was listening to a CD that managed to play, and it just stopped playing... Is there an answer out there to get back to how it use to be? Thanks for you help. -

Yes, connect to your computer, go to videos, and uncheck the check mark for syncing the videos, then at the bottom click apply or sync.

You can't delete it. If you have restrictions set on your iPad, go to Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that Installing Apps is set to On. If it is and you still can't find the App Store app, swipe your screen to the right to bring up spotlight search, then search for App Store. If it's inside a folder, the folder name will appear to the right of the app.

How to stop Firefox deleting active downloads when the 'del' key is pressed?
I tend to remove old downloads from the download manager by pressing the 'del' key. Before the update to the new download manager, Firefox would not delete downloads when the 'del' key was pressed, *if* it was still downloading. This is no longer the case, and you can now accidentally remove downloads that are still downloading if the 'del' key is pressed.
Is there a way to prevent Firefox from removing active downloads when the 'del' key is pressed?'''<Control> J''' to open the download manager. At the upper right is a button;

I have lost all my contacts how can they be restored

My contacts got transfered to all my devices except my ipad. As they were not wanted on one iphone they were delteted from that device but fortunately icloud wasn't on on my ipad. So all of my contacts are still there but I cannot get them back onto my mac or my other iphone. I tried a sync and it showed all contacts being restored but when I checked the iphone about 100 out of 1000 were there. I also cannot find them on my mac.
Can anyone help?Your contacts will be in whatever program you have selcted to sync.
