Firefox disabled my adobe flash player

Firefox just out of nowhere decides to disable the flash plug-in without asking me. And everytime I go to a site that uses flash, I have to see this message (see link below.)
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/why-do-i-have-click-activate-plugins
So how do I reactivate the flash plugin without updating it? The reason I do not update it, is because when I update it, I get a constant pop-up error message. And when I uninstall my flash altogether, the constant error pop-up messages stop, but now I get the "you don't have it installed" message. And when I download an outdated version
So no matter what I do, I have problems with this. I don't want to have to keep clicking the "always activate plugin for this site" button, for every site I visit on the world wide web, because that is out-of-this-world annoying.
I'm getting really irritated by firefox, and their bull. I will not update because you can't keep up.

I told you what happens when I update. It won't play any video, and it keeps giving me an error message, that won't go away. It keeps popping up, even when I close it. That was a much bigger problem, and a huge headache. This problem does not exist on any of the other browsers that I have. So it's 100% a firefox problem, not a flash problem.

How do I Close Firefox to install Adobe Flash Player?

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only and a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox. On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

• How to Disable the Adobe Flash Player and Reader Updates

Ok, For the last two months or so, I have been plagued by the Adobe Flash Player and Reader updater that will not go away. That's not the worst thing though: Somehow, someway, the Adobe updater subverts my entire windows 7 machine and makes itself the most important program on my system, stopping all other necessary functions. After I just turn it on, the updater will suspend all Windows operations in favor of the updater getting its message out the Adobe "needs" updating. I have tried updating the stupid thing, only to find that after the update goes in, my whole computer locks up and I have to load a system restore point. This thing acts like a virus, and until someone comes up with a way to make it work properly, that's what I'm calling: Adobe creates and sells a computer killing virus. I want a sure fire way to disable the updater that will work, and that will never bug me again about updating the virus. After going through three different computer repair companies, many online forums and chat rooms and my own knowledge of how to disable programs, I have instructed my firewall to block all attempts by Adobe to update. This has to stop.

• Firefox for Android, Adobe Flash Player, and Samsung KNOX conflict.

Hello.
I have a Galaxy Note 3. If I go to youtube.com in Firefox, play a video, and click on fullscreen, Firefox will crash and a notification will come up with title "Prevention information" and description "An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system...". This notification is generated by "Knox Notification Manager", an app that comes preinstalled.
I know this problem is probably not exactly Firefox's fault, however some of other browsers are able to handle the exact same situation without any problem. Can you fix this problem, or is there a configuration that I can do to fix this?
My system info:
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (T-Mobile)
OS: Android 4.3
Adobe Flash Player ver. 11.1.115.81
Firefox for Android ver. 26.0.1

• Why doesn't Firefox run an adobe flash player slide show (no arrows to move to next/previous slide), but internet explore does?

When I try to run a slide show in Firefox, the first slide displays but the arrows to move to next/previous slide do not appear. When I try in Internet Explorer, the arrows appear. Flash Player is enabled in Firefox. There must be another setting I need to adjust. I am running Windows 7. I don't see how to access Tools menu item in Firefox. I don't see where I can check my Firefox version. It is the current version as is Flash Player.

• Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave crashing has disabled my computer

I have downloaded a second flash player and it is still the same. Firefox has been crashing daily for a few weeks. I noticed that your adblocker plus was updated 6/4. Since then I have almost no use of firefox, because the Adobe flash player 13.0.r0 and Shockwave crash notices are constantly popping up. Could that update have something to do with why the flash players are not working? Below are an example of the crash details.
Thanks for the help. I prefer your browser, but this has made it non-functioning.
In trying to fix it, a window came up that asked would I like to change it back to a previous working image, which was Windows XP. Although this computer is Windows 7, I clicked the box yes, and said I wanted it to work like Windows XP. I see in your Operating System below, that it reads Windows Xp, but this computer is actually Windows 7. I can't find that menu to change unclick and change it back, so that it is working as Windows 7.

If that doesn't work try Try to disable Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 and above by adding the line ProtectedMode=0 to the Flash "mms.cfg" file located in one of these locations: [46]
(Windows 32bit) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
(Windows 64bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
For example, on a Windows 7 64-bit system, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, copy the file "mms.cfg" to the desktop, open it in Notepad, add a new line
ProtectedMode=0
and then close Notepad, saving your changes. Next, go back to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, rename the original file to "mms.cfgBAK" (to save it as a backup) and then drag and drop in the modified "mms.cfg" file from the desktop. [47] [48] [49]
Note: To re-enable Flash Protected Mode, either restore a backup of the original mms.cfg file, if you saved one, or else re-edit the mms.cfg file to remove the
ProtectedMode=0 l
line you added. Updating Flash Player or installing a newer version does not automatically re-enable Protected Mode
Flash has been a pain since day 1 and Mozilla is currently working to replace Flash with Shumway. Unfortunately it's in the Nightly channel, doesn't come activated automatically and it isn't quite ready for normal usage. I just tested Nightly yesterday with Shumway and it wouldn't play.

• Why Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 not working appropriately in Firefox 13.0?

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bits Pt-Br
Firefox 13.0 (Adobe Flash Player Plug-in) 11.3 r300
IE9 (Adobe Flash Player Active-x) 11.3 r300
In time: In both browsers (Firerox and IE9) Adobe Flash Player is slower than normal and in Firerox sometimes it crash.
My System:

I too have an 8GB RAM and quad core processor on my desktop and my laptop it is an Intel Quad i7 core, 8GB RAM. When there was any sluggishness, it was not Flash, but something else causing the heavy CPU useage because it was fighting with Flash.
On my computer, I went into FireFox Add-ons, then checked the extensions and plugins. The one problem I had was with a Real Player plugin. It allowed the recording and download of any video, with an App style button that appears above the the video itself when the cursor is placed there. For me that was disabled by FireFox because of conflicts, but even in the disabled state, it caused Flash issues. When I uninstalled the extension or plugin, Flash worked fine.
It may be the same, or another plugin or extension that is causing the issue. FireFox sites say to disable, but that proved useless to do because disabling for the RealPlayer plugin made no difference, it had to be removed completely to see the difference.
If no greyed out ones, then uninstall all the plugins and test FireFox. If all works great, reinstall one by one and each time test FireFox with Flash. You will likely find which one it is and know what to do from there.
I know it is a bit of a hassle, but from the experience I had so far, Flash was not the issue, it was from another plugin.
If it is Real Player, then disable the plugin by:
Close Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer if either is running.
Click "Start," click "All Programs," click "Real" and click "RealPlayer." (Or click the RealPlayer shortcut to open it)
Click the "RealPlayer" menu button at the top-left corner of the RealPlayer window and click "Preferences."
Click "Downloading and Recording" category near the bottom of the list of categories at the left side of the preferences window.
Uncheck the "Enable Web Downloading and Recording" checkbox by clicking it.
Click "OK."
Re-open Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.
Worst comes to worst, uninstall real player completely or if there is another program that installed a problem plugin to FireFox, install that.
Let us know how this worked out.

• Adobe flash player either hangs or crashes in Firefox

Adobe flash player either hangs up the web browser Firefox or crashes within Firefox. This has been occurring for about a year even though Firefox and the adobe flash player have been updated and upgraded many times over the last year. Multiple crash reports have been sent to either Adobe or Firefox (I am not sure which one actually gets the crash report) but it appears someone knows about this issue since I seem to be getting more pop up boxes from Firefox now when the Windows 7 system seems to hang (no response from mouse when I try to close the Firefox browser window). The pop up box states that Adobe flash player is not responding or in a loop so when I respond to the pop up window to cancel the task all the flash player displays in all of the open Firefox browser sessions crash. However, if I use google chrome and the same ESPN videos that use Adobe flash player so far I have not seen the same issue of hangs or crashes. So, is this a known issue with Adobe flash player and/or Firefox or has it just never been fixed correctly?

I use Firefox, which is a leading browser, I think we'd say, and I think I had far fewer plug-ins until I updated to the new Adobe Flash Player today. As for your challenge to come up with a plugin, I'm a poor sucker who's developed nothing more in my lifetime that Word and Excel docs. I'm totally at the mercy of what all software developers throw at the public. As for crap on my computer, I've tried to get rid of everything I can, crap or not, just in case it could affect Adobe Crash. Do you see anything here that looks suspicious?
