Firefox does not show photos in incoming email that show in IE

I receive an email to my gmail address that contains embedded photos. The text is displayed but not the photos. Accessing the same email with Internet Explorer shows all the photos

Firefox does not trust a specific secure website that I know is secure, but it does trust other secure websites. Also, Internet Explorer trusts this website and Firefox on another computer trusts this same website. When I try to connect Firefox tells me that it does not have a valid certificate (even though I know one exists) and that I would have to make an exception to connect. Is there some way I can correct this and get the proper certificate into this particular Firefox program?

It is possible that the server doesn't send a required intermediate certificate.
Firefox stores intermediate certificates that servers send for future use, so if you have visited a website that has send such a certificate then you won't see an error if you visit a server that doesn't send that intermediate certificate.
You can inspect the certificate chain via a site like this:
*http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.

Starting suddenly 3 days ago, thunderbird does not want to pick up emails that I can see in gmail

I turned on my computer and opened Thunderbird email in the morning. Rather than the usual bunch of new emails only the few active emails that I had left the night before showed up. I checked later in the day and still no new emails.
I went directly into gmail and found lots of new emails. I went back to Thunderbird and requested new emails. None showed up. I closed and then reopened Thunderbird. Still no emails. Later I asked for new emails again and they appeared.
This issue began around the time that some new updated version of Thunderbird occurred. With the new "option" that appeared from Thunderbird each time that I clicked on a new email. Once I selected to received each new email the "option" no longer appeared.
Help? I really hate gmail email protocols and really love Thunderbird email operations - but I have to receive them ...

I have had the problem of Yahoo! mail freezing (my computer freezing) with Firefox right after I boot up my computer and sign into my Yahoo! mail account. I have to either shut down my computer or use Control + Alt and press Delete to eventually bring up the Task Manager option. Then, once the choice for Task Manager comes up, I can click on cancel and Yahoo! mail and my computer have "un-frozen." I have followed all the recommendations for updating Firefox, clearing caches, checking if an Add-On is the problem, etc., as well as all the recommendations on Yahoo! help pages. Nothing has improved the situation to date. Firefox info says the problem is with Yahoo! Yahoo! says it is a browser problem. I just want the problem to be fixed.

Facebook says that firefox does not re cognize other web sites for tagged photos.

I have firefox and when I get on facebook and use my profile to view photos that I have been tagged in. they do not show up. all comments show, but when I click on view photo, it tells me that firefox does not recognize other web sites and wants me to approve them. this has never happened to me till I updated to this fire fox.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

I have installed Adobe Flash but firefox does not show as plugin

I have downloaded the most recent versions of Firefox (30.0) and Adobe Flash Player. The Adobe website tells me my flash player is installed and current but Firefox does not show it as a plug in and a site that requires flash player (google finance) to view charts does not work. The place for the chart remains blank after telling me it has loaded.

When a page is using a plugin, usually an icon similar to a piece of Lego appears in the address bar. You can click the logo to check that Flash is allowed to run on the page, or approve it to run if it isn't.

Does it matter whether you view it in a regular tab or in a private window? To view in a private window, right-click the link > Open Link in New Private Window.

I have some problems with embedding from flash based content because firefox does not show the embedded content.
Last week and the time before everything went fine but now the Flash based player of Soundcloud doesn't work anymore.

If I use the "data" URL I can see the player but I dont know why there are problems for a week with that embedding?!

I notice a space in type="application/ x-shockwave-flash" in not working flash objects.
Firefox also needs the movie name specified via a data attribute in the object tag instead of via the param tag. With those changes applied you should see the Flash animations (works for me).

Firefox does not show full websites

Suddenly, Firefox does not show complete websites. IE does just fine.

What do we do? Some sites show fine, some like this - a list view, or whatever. And it's not online issue, as like I said - IE shows same sites just fine.

Hello ukrkoz, if you have the same issue again try to clear cookies and cache. Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".

#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Firefox does not show up in the start up menu after dowloading

Every time I download Firefox I look in the start up menu and I can't find any file of Firefox. I have to download it every time I want to use the internet.

I'm not sure why you don't have a "Mozilla Firefox" desktop shortcut after you download and install Firefox. You said that Firefox does not appear in the "startup" menu. You should be looking in the Start '''All Programs''' list for a Mozilla Firefox icon (you may need to scroll up or down). If you don't see it, open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox folder and then right-click on firefox.exe and choose either "Pin to Start Menu" or "Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut) if you want a Desktop shortcut and it's missing.
