Firefox doesn't display links correctly where they are supposed to be.

I am using a Dell Venue Tablet running Windows 8. I try to load a web page and the links that are supposed to appear above a certain area, show up on the left side of the screen in a column, only in a text style format. The entire page itself isn't loading correctly. I've tried installing and reinstalling Java and that doesn't seem to work. It does the same thing in Internet Explorer as well. Don't know if this is a browser issue or something else?

The tablet is Win 8, but this computer is a Mac, Yes ?

Internet explorer doesn't display sites correctly unless they are trusted

This is an odd problem. On the reference image prior to it being sysprep'd and captured, going to certain sites (e.g. lifehacker.com) the menus, all pictures and advertisements display just fine. But once capture and deploy that image those sites stop working
the way they should. I made sure the unattend file was making zero changes to IE and I even disabled the IE configuration app that I made with IEAK to ensure that IE was being setup as is out of the box, but something is changing the way it operates and it
fails to work the way it did before it get deployed to a client. I don't have any extra add-ons and no tracking protection lists.
The big problem is it causes compatibility issues with lots of sites, such as menus not appearing when you hover like they should. I even tried building a clean machine from the Microsoft media directly and creating IEAK packages from that, a totally clean
machine. That didn't work either.
Anyone else have weird problems like this before?

Windows 8.1 IE 11. Yesterday I built a new image with all the latest updates released yesterday.
My "Base Package" of apps is:
Visual Studio Tools 2010
Chrome
Firefox
Adobe Reader

VLC Player
The reference image itself contains Office 2013. This issue only affects Internet Explorer in normal view, if you use Private Mode the same site that didn't work, works just fine. I've tried experimenting with not enabling any add-ons and using "Reset"
in IE, but nothing works.
I am using copy profile, but I can assure you the administrator profile works just fine with all sites in the reference image before it's sysprepped and captured. But then again IE works fine until after the first reboot when deployed to a client.

Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

Firefox does not display websites correctly. Images are missing or out of position.

Too much white space. How do I downgrade back to 3.6.3? I have another computer running that version that displays everything correctly. Text is also placed incorrectly. Even this Mozilla page has no images. Only white space with a fuzzy 'mozilla' in the upper left-hand corner.

The Fonts & Colours option worked wonderfully for me and now my pages are displaying the colour and images I expected to see. So very simple in the end. Is it related to the current upgrad? At least I will not have to trouble with attempting to revert to an earlier version.

Why do the links I click on not take me where they are supposed to?

I have a shopping site I go to all the time. I can go to order history, click on an order and then on an item within the order. It will take me to the product page. Just recently, when I do that in Firefox it will not take me to the product page. It says the item can not be found. I opened IE8 and went to the site and everything works so this is happening only in Firefox.
Seems like I've been having lots of problems recently with Firefox. I've already had to disable Site Advisor because when I had it on I couldn't use my back arrow.

Can someone please offer a reply of some kind on this problem?

Firefox is not displaying webpages correctly. Certain areas of the page don't finish loading. Recently reinstalled Firefox because it kept crashing. Put a personna on and this started. I uninstalled personna, problem still exists

It's Shaunn, the original poster. Thanks for your posting. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's having this problem.
Now that you mention it, I'm having the exact same problem on Facebook as well, when I play Family Feud.
I wish someone would investigate and post a solution to this problem. No-one from Playlist has responded, and no-one "Officially" from Firefox either.

Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on my blog, but other browsers are.

I have a web designer issue. Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on the header in my blog. Explorer, Chrome, and Safari have no problems. The page is in css but this particular section has html code o designate color. The code is as follows:

Though all other browsers display the light orange color designated, Firefox displays white. Strangely, if if retype the code by spelling out a color, Firefox displays it correctly. i.e.
blog
... will give me black. You can see the effect by viewing the link below and looking at the word "blog" in the header, which should be light orange but is not in Firefox.

Actually it also seems to work in the current Firefox 4 beta as it is.
The code is not right though - the correct syntax for the color attribute with hex values is with a # at the start, so:
color="#FF9966"
It might work in Firefox 3.x if you change that.

Firefox doesn't display some text on certain pages.

I've noticed that on some pages, Firefox doesn't display certain text. I have the newest version of Firefox installed and my flash and java are updated. The text displays fine on Chrome and IE. Please see my example in the screenshots of the stevenson.edu webpage. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this problem or if there is some sort of plugin I am missing to display certain content? Thanks.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

My motherboard went bad on my old computer, but the hard drive was OK. I purchased a new computer and hooked my old hard drive to it through a usb adapter. I would like to import or copy my bookmarks from the old hard drive to my new one, but I cannot find where they are. I was unable to determine this from searching articles on the web. Be advised that my old hard drive is basically nothing but a storage place for files at this point. My old operating system was windows XP, and my new system is Windows Home Premium.

List IPs/MACs of devices and switchport where they are plugged in

Hi there,
I'll be going out to an installation with a 6504 and a couple of dozend access switches to check for stuff that's plugged into the wrong port.
What I want to do is to create a list: what client-device (IP) is connected to what port.
Unfortunately there's no network management tool present on site that might help.
I have two ideas how to get there and perhaps anyone has done something like that before:
First, I'll scan the whole IP range of allowed adresses from the core. This will put all existing MAC adresses in the IP range into the core's ARP table.
Then read out ARP table and put all existing MACs in a file
Then prepare a script that works in one of the following ways:
1) centrally traceroute to each destination
for each [MAC from ARP table] do
ssh core-switch
traceroute mac MAC
Advantage: scripting is easier because I only ever log in to core-switch
Disadvantage: this requires to pass a variable (MAC) through from the script into the routine that runs in the called SSH-shell. Is that even possible?
I'm no scripting expert, so I'm not really sure...
2) locally collect all ARP-tables
for each [list of access-switches] do
ssh [Access-switch]
show mac address-table
then sort out everything where the ARP table does _not_ point to a local FE port (but to an uplink).
then enrich each entry with the name of the switch it was found on.
Advantage: no passing through of a variable into the SSH-subroutine necessary.
Disadvantage: have to enrich the data
Has someone ever encountered this problem before and perhaps has some smart script lying around? Any help would be apprechiated.

Open firefox and in the menu, go to:
Tools > Options
Choose the "General" section (light switch icon)
There should be a downloads block there. It says something like "Save files to [_____________][Browse...]"
you should be able to click on browse and see where the folder is located. Then hit CANCEL (so you don't change it by mistake before you have found it for sure)
Once you have found the files, if you would like, you can go back in and change the location setting to somewhere you would prefer if you do not like where they are saving to.

As of today, neither sample songs on the music store nor songs already downloaded will play correctly. They are stuttery and slow. I have iTunes 10.5 and have not downloaded any upgrades for anything recently. They were working last night. Thoughts?

I found a solution that worked for me. Here is what I did and where I found it.
"Looks like I tracked down the problem, it worked for me so I hope this works for everyone else experiencing problems. Go to your Task Manager and locate the program APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push)..... if you see this executing terminate the program and then startup iTunes and it should come up fine. You will see afterwards that APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) starts back up but this is fine as long as iTunes has already started.
I tried playing both music and syncing up my iPhone with no problems. Note if you shutdown iTunes again you will have to terminate the process APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) again. Haven't had time to see what in the world Apple Push is but this appears to have corrected the problem so that you can at least use iTunes and sync any device that needs to be synced.

Will applications update correctly if they are moved ?

With all the little applications being downloaded (especially games) will they update correctly if they are moved to their own (MAS) folder ?
Also the file size displayed in the store seems to be compressed and not the actual installed size, is that correct ?

My experience with the Mac App Store is that it is a bit more intuitive than some think. I have moved certain apps that to me are utilities to the Apps/Utilities folder. The Mac App Store realizes that they are there and has updated them there. Even if the app did not originally come through the Mac App Store.
For example, I had an older version of Text Wrangler than the version in the MAS. Text Wrangler was in my Apps/Utilities folder. When I "purchased" it from the MAS the MAS downloaded it and installed it in the Apps/Utilities folder in place of the previous version.
