I develop my web site with a html editor. When I use preview, everything is fine. If I use Explorer, everything is fine also but if I use Firefox to display the page, the images and text are not where they should be.

If you use MS software to generate page code then make sure that you disable VML (MS Office) code in the web authoring settings. Otherwise only IE will be able to display that website properly.
You can see VML as green comments in the View > Page Source.

The mouse that came with my Mac does not have a right click feature. When I try to highlight and click, it just opens the link I don't want anymore. What I want to do is remove unwanted links from the top bar. For example, I no longer use GoodSearch or myEarthLink, but I can't delete them. There are also some links that never should have found their way up there, and I don't know how they ended up there, and I can't remove them either. I've read through a ton of questions and answers, and I can't find one that addresses the problem. With my Safari browser, all I have to do to remove an unwanted link is to click and drag it to the trash. It doesn't appear to work that way with Firefox, to my chagrin. I hope this better explains my question. Maybe that will give you a better insight into a solution.

You can make the collages easily if you have iWork. Just open a letter sized page in landscape mode and drag the photos onto the page, rotate and postiion as necessary. Then do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save PDF to iPhoto to get a 200 dpi jpeg version of the Pages page into iPhoto. From there you can add it to your book and use a blank page with the option to have an image as the backbround.
If you have a 3rd party image editor that supports layers you can create the collage with it.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

I would say all types. Any kind of document/ file that has multiple pages, I can't get to the next page.

Turn the page like a book - Not up and down

I need to make our company catalog into a app. When I tested one section (about 30 pages) in the Content Viewer on the iPad I had to scroll up and down to go from page to page. I need it to scroll side to side like turning the page. We are only going to have a vertical app. When I looked in the help and tutorials it looks like I need to make 1 page per article to do it that way. Please tell me thats not the case, the catalog is 280 pages. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Jumping to the top of the page like on iPhone

You don't realize how much you need or like a feature until you have it and then it's gone. I love on the iPhone that you can tap the top of the screen to jump straight to the top of the page. This of course works in Contacts, Emails and nearly everywhere on the iPhone, but I especially like it in Safari. But now when I go on the Macs, I often want to do the same thing and I can't. I know this isn't a big technical problem, and I must seem like a perfectionist, but I just found it efficient and would like to be able to do the same thing on the computer.
Is there a shortcut or anything?

My Logitech mouse has a scroll-wheel that takes me up or down my Mac screen as fast as I spin it. My trackball does the same. On a really long page, it might not be as fast as a tap. Have you tried Option/Command up-arrow? It seems that that takes me to the top of the page ASAP. Down arrow does the opposite. Thanks for the question because I didn't know I had that feature until now.

Why Firefox doesn't read keyboard input properly on Windows when chained deadkeys are involved?

I'm trying to customize my keyboard layout on Windows. I have finally installed my new layout. However some of key combinations doesn't work on some applications. One of them is Firefox. It seems it doesn't handle chained deadkeys. And for some reason RightAlt + Q which sould produce "\" produces some wierd combination – this parcitual wierd issue is specific to Firefox. I can send an installer of the keyboard.

The issue is related to firefox 3.5 but is also seen in firefox 3.6 the images rendered like a curtain effect if they are not preloaded and the page builds up in part rather than building all at once and showing

When we traverse from one page to the other and this is not different php pages, its the same html page only dom manipulation. to show different gui one after the other. Now on these screens there are some images that are preloaded like loaded upfront and some are pulled at run time when user visits that screen. All images that are pulled on run time show a curtain effect. This is problem number 1, we cannot preload these images since the systems are having only 250mb ram.
Now the other problem is that when the user goes from one screen to the other the entire screen builds up in one shot on ff 1.0.8 but on ff 3.5 or 3.6 it builds up in parts
Do we need to change some configuration in firefox so that the curtain effect is eliminated, Is there a setting in firefox 3.5 that can make the rendering more like ff 1.0.8 or ff 2.
Is there any different that you suggest we do our dom manipulations or some ways that we should not do if that is the cause of the issue. This is very urgent since we are loosing users due to performance problems

I get this warning when using gmail. I cannot find where to turn it off. There s no Preferences on the menu. Options, General Tab does not have it. How do I turn off the warning.

Firefox doesn't show ssl certificate form for add exception....no problem with other browser

I'm using a proxy server and when I go to gmaps (for example...but also youtube) I don't view the page to confirm the certificate (I've found a trick that consist to go on the maps, right click and press view image; after that I can see the exception ssl page but other element of the page like "satelite view" aren't visible......In other case the frame of the cerficate contained in the web pages is resized so I can't show the button to confirm the exception.

Hi dafunk, yes, only HTTPS sites are affected because Firefox only checks certificates for HTTPS sites.
The root certificate from the proxy service provider allows Firefox to trust all the fake certificates they issue, so that should be the only one your need. I don't know whether it is supposed to be pushed into Firefox automatically, but since it didn't work, importing is your next step.
I found some instructions on how to do it from unofficial sources. Maybe one of these will help?

I periodically have this problem and have just realized it occurs ONLY on the Wall Street Journal web page that I have stored in my bookmarks for Apple stock. It won't load the page (like today) and I then go through an hour of reading forums, Googling, searching thru my Options, and then suddenly, right now, the page loads as if nothing has happened. Grrr. And i have altered nothing in my Options, or Cookies, or History blah blah blah. I have other issues with the WSJ quote pages such as, and yinz won't believe this, but I've noticed in the past that for certain stocks that they've written critical articles about, the real-time quotes are erratic. I've written to them 6 times in one week and they've only responded with a brief generalizaton of "clear your cache" or some such nonsense. Seems to me they refuse to acknowledge their servers are goofy.

How to create a text editor, the one like header text in PO
