Firefox doesn't print Flash apps

I can't get Firefox to print Flash applications. IE and Opera
do it fine, but not FF. Just blank white space. I've found lots of
posts throughout the internet where others have had the same
problems, but NO solutions. Is there any way to fix this???

Matulga,
> This is the official Flash forum, right?
Yes, it is; but forum answers are provided by volunteers,
comprised of
professionals and amateurs alike. Not all questions are
answered,
unfortunately. Sometimes this happens because a question
hasn't been
clearly stated. Sometimes it happens because no one on the
forums happens
to know the answer. In this case, for example, the issue is
that Firefox
fails to print Flash content. I saw your question, thought to
myself, "Hmm,
that's interesting," and tested a handful of Flash sites in
Firefox. I was
able to print Flash content just fine (same in IE, but that
wasn't a problem
for you either). I tested a handful more and did find pages
where the Flash
content didn't print -- but then it didn't print in *either*
browser and I
assumed it was due to the way the Flash had been embedded. So
I don't have
an answer to this question, which is why I didn't answer
right away. I can
only speak for myself, of course.

  • Why Firefox doesn't load flash?

I've had this problem in the past and I had to move to Opera for a while but got solved I don't know how. Today when I turned on my PC today the flash updater appeared like always and I updated it. Then I go to youtube and I can't see the video. It was fine yesterday. Then I realised no flash content was loading. It just shows an empty space where the flash thing should be. I tried uninstalling flash and firefox and installing a previous flash and nothing works. What can I do? Oh, I use firefox 4.

Well, yeah... right after I found the problem I tried uninstalling/installing again both firefox 4 and the flash player without any success. Then I returned to firefox 3,5 to write here then I noticed the flash was working again. That's the computer I use at my office. At home I still have a perfectly working firefox 4 because I didn't do the update that made it fail. Both computers run Windows XP but I don't remember if the one at the office has SP3... I know the one at home does have it. The one at my office tells me now to get firefox 4 but I don't want to because I won't be able to play flash.
Oh, one last thing... recently I can't put attachments on my hotmail e-mails and it only happens with firefox. On IE and Opera it works fine.

  • Firefox doesn't recognize FLASH after update, no matter what. Also says to update plugins but there are none to update listed?

I have downloaded & re-downloaded FLASH, but after I updated my Firefox to 22.0 it no longer recognizes FLASH is installed on my computer. It also keep telling me "Some plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection." When I check the plugins, the 3 listed are up to date, and the other 3 are marked "research" - which doesn't allow you to update them. I cannot discern that any of those are what is being blocked. When I click on Details, it brings me to a list of "Modules bloqués" and it's all listed in French...which would be great if spoke French or lived in France, but alas California is in the USA. My Java is updated, enabled & not blocked in any way. My Shockwave Flash is disabled & it will not give me the option to Enable it; I also cannot find a way to reinstall it or find a plugin to help me. !@#$%! So frustrating that this new "update" is useless. I hate 22.0.
    What do I do now?

Your System Details List shows that some plugins are blocklisted and Flash is included:
    # plugin.blocklisted.flash: True
    # plugin.blocklisted.java: True
    # plugin.blocklisted.nppdf: True
Which version of the Flash plugin do you have installed if you check that in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > > Plugins?
You will have to update Flash to make it work.
You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.

  • [SOLVED]Firefox doesn't detect Flash plugin on a fresh installation

I have tried the package in extra and the package from AUR, but firefox still doesn't register the flash plugin. I'm probably just missing something here..
    [tapio@Pochi flashplugin-alpha-64]$ ls /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
    libflashplayer.so
Is there something extra I have to do other than installing the package? I looked at the old wiki page for using nspluginwrapper but I couldn't see anything that looked relevant..
Any help would be much appreciated.

Try to log out and back in so that the scripts in /etc/profile.d/ get called.

  • Firefox doesn't handle Flash

Whenever I try to load a video in YouTube, the audio plays but the video and the video controls do not load. I can get the videos to work on Facebook, but when I right-click and select "Settings" nothing responds to mouse clicks. Firefox also cannot load Chatango or several other sites that use Flash but some Flash objects will load but not respond to mouse clicks. I tried downgrading to several different versions of Flash and also tried a reinstall of Firefox with no luck. However, this has not been a problem for Firefox on the other computers I use, even though I updated Flash on them.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kdzttdcb%28VS.71%29.aspx
with firefox, and print it, also i do first PRINT PREVIEW, the zones with code (preformated text), are printed only up to 1 page, if the zone is longer than 1 page, it is not printed. with IE i can print complete the same page

    Every time Firefox opened

    Morbus, tks a lot.
but the article refers to upgrade to 3.0, and i'm using
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3

  • Firefox freezes on certain flash apps, can only be solved by ending plugin-container.exe

Since I've updated to flash 11 and Firefox 9.0.1 my browser is freezing contantly. I found out it can only be helped by ending the Plugin-Container.exe process in the task manager. After I end this process my browser works fine again, but all my flash applications crash.

    Application Express 3.0.1.00.08

Are you printing from the Flash right-click menu or through Firefox? I don't think Firefox prints Flash regions when you print the entire page.

  • Why doesn't firefox have a "print" button in the tool bar and why can't I add attachments to my emails MOST of the time. It only works rarely?? Frustrating!

I cannot find an add on as a print button for the firefox toolbar. Almost every time I want to print, I have to copy and then open a document and paste it there to be able to print it.
Also, each time I want to add an attachment to an email, it rarely lets me. I have to open internet explorer and go through my email that way to be able to add attachments.

    1. File > Print <br />
    2. There is a '''Print''' button in the Customize palette for the Toolbars. <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar
Considering that Firefox doesn't do email, that problem is probably caused by your webmail portal software not being totally compatible with Firefox. If you tell which webmail service you use maybe another user who is familiar with that service can help you.

  • Transition from my firefox extension to a Flash Builder desktop app

Trying to make a slow transistion from my firefox extension to a Flash Builder desktop app.
Okay i'm not familiar on how to go about this I have js code that lets my app sync it self with the lates build it looks for a new version number which is in a txt file. Inside the txt file I have 0.0.0 so evertime I change the version number to 0.0.1. The app checks for new updates and sees the txt file has a new version number and start to pull in the zip file and extrudes the zip into the directory.
I can't get my head around on how to modify this code ["@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1"].getService
to look in the root directory of my Flash Builder app.

Have you taken a look at the documentation on updating AIR applications?

Or is it something else you wish to do? You can access the directory where your app is installed by looking at File.applicationDirectory and you can hit a URL by using URLRequest.

  • Flash app works properly in IE / Firefox, not in safari

This is a flash app I designed for our career center at UNR, and its not working properly in safari.
The TV towards the bottom is the app. When you click on an image it is supposed to take you to the corresponding companies webpage.
It works fine in IE, Firefox, and Firefox for mac, but it crashes safari for windows, and on safari for mac, the logos and links are out of sync and I cant figure out why. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Hi,
You may have to install the Spotify application on the laptop to get Spotify protocols recognized.

  • Firefox 5 doesn't print properly

When I used Firefox 3.5, it printed properly.
I upgraded to Firefox 4, and printing had extra spaces between each letter, making the printout unreadable.
Today I upgraded to Firefox 5, and found the problem has yet to be fixed.
I am using Windows XP SP3. This issue occurs with multiple computers, multiple printers, and with multiple profiles, including a new profile with no add-ons.
This seems to similar or identical to bug 635768, which is marked as fixed. There are some additional comments that suggest that others are having issues too.
Is there any way to reopen this bug, given that it is still occurring for me in Firefox 5? Should I submit a new bug report?

Yes, if you can file a new bug [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Core&component=Printing:%20Output here], it may help the developers find and fix the problem.

  • Firefox doesn't work adequately with some flash-based sites

Firefox will load most flash-based videos and play them for 5-10 seconds. If I click out of or minimize the browser, it will hang and proceed to a state similar to "Not responding". I originally thought this was spread across all browsers, but Chrome seems to be unaffected. I've uninstalled and reinstalled flash numerous times with no luck.
